it was my first time getting my nails done in elegant nails. imy nails fell the third day so i went to get them done again. i was VERY VERY DISSAPOINTED with the lady who did my nails they were crooked and shaped the wrong way one was shorter than the other. I went back because i was very dissapointed and i asked to speak to the manager and i told him i didnt like my nails and that i wanted my money back, and he said he couldnt do that for me. i did not pay 53 $ for my nails to be crooked and ugly? at the ended i did get my 10 $ back but I would not recommend this place to anyone !!

James and Linh are amazing! I’ve been going to them for about 3 years now and have yet to be disappointed! They have my loyalty!!!

James did an excellent job on my nails. He took his time, and I didn’t feel rushed. I like that he not only took his time on my nails but he also took the time to have an actual conversation with me. I recommend this place!

This place is a wonderful hole in the wall nail salon. Located in a small shopping center near Carl’s Jr., it has emery thing you need to pamper yourself within budget.
The staff is very friendly, much more than other places I have been to. The will speak English most of the time, and do not chit chat amongst themselves the entire time. They engage in conversation with the client and ask how they are doing throughout the entire time.
They have a large amount of colors to choose from both in regular and gel colors. They also have a nail artist who is great at designing pretty much anything you want.
Other services they offer include waxing.
An eyebrow wax is only $ 10 and it is done in a private room with a skilled person. My eyebrows are thin and I always worry they will make them shorted, but this woman waxed them perfectly and trimmed them as needed.
Cons are that they could offer a bit more out of the massages for pedi and mani for the price.

This is one of the best nail shops ive been too since i moved to monterey! I totally recommend it, i got a pedicure and honestly it was so nice! Not only was the lady nice but the store itself is so vibrant and yhey have various choices for nail color.

My second time here. but really love it. They do a great job took in a picture of what I wanted and was really satisfied with my nails!

I haven’t gone here since I was cut by James while doing a fill. I was surprised to find I was the only one there. I was OK good I have James all to myself and he could take his time. He rushed on my nails cutting my thumb with the filing machine. Ouch! To my surprise he had the nerve to say it was my fault that it slipped and cut me because I recolored my nails. Sorry no! Yes he does a good job when he takes his time but that’s it. Really expensive too!
I found Royal Nails and Spa across the street much cheaper and they do an awesome job!

Best nail spa ever! My family owning several nail salons, I am extremely picky! But this place has impressed me! I myself had my nails done and forced my fiancé to get his regular eyebrow maintenance and get a special pedicure. This place is clean and the couple who own it are sweet great genuine people! The gentlemen who did my nails did a mood set. Which is beyond perfect! Flawless and it feels as if they will never come off! It doesn’t feel bulky as if it were my own nails! The misses who attended to my fiancé removed all his calluses and trimmed his nails and his eyebrows are still very clean. I am extremely happy with this establishment and will be returning regularly.

Today was my first time there because I just moved here from maine. They were friendly and the guy who did my nails even helped me out by putting a filler on my nails to fix where they were torn up from acrylic nails.

James is THE best! I don’t regret driving the distance from salinas to get my fill done here. He did a GREAT job and I loooove my nails.

I started coming here and they did an excellent job. I usually go there when its closer to MPC where I worked. I would go there first to get my nails done then staright to work. Love it!

So I’ve been looking for a good nail salon for a while now, and when I walked in here I was greeted immediately with smiles. There were 3 or 4 people working and about 6 ladies in the building, so I was expecting a wait, which is fine. I waited about 30 minutes before I was sat in a chair, then as soon as Lyhn got the fake nails glued on, her appointment walked in and I had to move chairs so James could finish… OK that’s fine I guess, I read a ton of good reviews for him. He did an amazing job just as the other ladies on her say, very nice and gentle. I got a new shape for the first time, Almond. They look like claws and I love them! I found my new nail home! James always does an amazing job! They look perfect every time (no crooked nails, no chipping, no peeling) a true perfectionist. I take him photos from Pinterest and he recreates them without flaws. Love my nails now!

I just fell in love with Elegant Nails & Spa! One of the best nail salons I have ever been and definitely should be the best one in California. Variety of gel color, and different choices of decoration. Though I usually give my picture for the nail from website or we-​chat, they do a so so so great job!
First time I was with Linh and this time James, both are perfect! This time I choose to do it more complicated so nicer too: p Diamonds and paint lover and will try some staff even more blingbling next time… No doubt you guys are so great keep going! I just needed a quick pick-​me-​up gel manicure and I found the perfect place for it! Elegant Nails and Spa has a clean friendly atmosphere. My nail tech James was very friendly and did a fantastic job on my nails. I got a quick flawless manicure on my lunch break. I will definitely be going back! Price was high but their standards are high as well.

I think there’s only two people who work here. Husband & wife. They do really well, but the wait is ridiculous! I actually came by one day at 9:30 (mind you, they open at 9) and they were closed! I called, and no one picked up. Since they’ve been great in the past, I decided to revisit the next morning. I told James I came by the previous day and left a voicemail. I felt I deserved some sort of discount for my inconvenience. Of course, he didn’t offer. Three visits later, no improvement. Over 30 minute wait, even when he quotes you «15 minutes». I think I’m going to find another nail salon.

My friend and I found this place by chance. They were great! We both got pedicures and acrylic manicures. James was amazing and so was Lynn. I have very thin nails and the acrylics I had were not done well last time. James took them off and put new correctly done tips. We also tried matte for the first time. Both my friend and I LOVED them! James and Lynn paid close attention to details and took pride in their work. We will definitely be back and bring more friends with me!

This place is awesome. A little pricier than other locations, but let me tell you it’s worth it. Small location and they take care of you. I’ve been going to another location for a while and their service has gone down since it got busier. It was time to find a new place and let me tell you … I’m so happy I found this place! For once I felt like I was in a spa and not just a customer to get rid of. I’m looking forward to my next appointment. My husband was happy to hear how relax I was. Usually I go home disappointed from my last place. I got a manicure and pedicure done by James. I also got my eyebrows waxed! Love it!!!

This place is the best! Can’t say how much they take care of their clients here. I’ve seldom seen anywhere that semi regular customers are called by name. And occasional customers treated like they are regulars.
I just got my pedi, and sometimes get my toes painted. Lihn and James have never made me feel awkward about it… even though guys getting their toes painted is a slowly growing trend… its still new to me… and being a straight man… doing something which is perceived as effeminate takes a bit of nerve. Lihn and James make me feel very comfortable… and often encourage me to get polish, even when I wasn’t planning on it.
Anyway…in the spirit of July 4^th… I asked for a July themed design for my toes… and very quickly I had a very cool design. James expertly free handed the design on my big toes. He was even going to put some rhinestone bling on my toes… but that was a bit beyond my comfort level. Though they would have looked amazing! LOL!
Either way… a great job making my otherwise ugly feet less deplorable! While I was there three other men came in with their wives for pedicures… I doubt they got their toes painted… but its good to see… everyone can use a good pedicure… and this place is great.

First time coming and this will most likely become my regular place. Service is good and I was in and out without a wait at 1000 on Saturday morning. The prices are reasonable and the selection in colors is vast.
Pleasant staff and attentive service. When I decide I did not like the color I picked for my nails they changed it with no problem.
I will be back. I plan on more stars next time but wanted to ensure it wasn’t a one time deal first!
