Bought a car here a while ago and thought it was a reasonable deal so I didn’t haggle on the price and didn’t even bother with a carfax (my bad!). After I left, I noticed that the center console was missing and a piece of jagged metal was sticking out. Called the owner who said he would call around to have it fixed, but later said he’d give me back a little money and I could fix it myself (no biggie). Started driving the car on my commute and it shudders and shakes at all times. I think it has probably been in an accident. After 2 years I’ve had enough and will be trading it in, but when I started researching the value SURPRISE, the car is 3 years older than he said it was! He is a «dealer» so he did all the paperwork when I bought the car and I never looked at the year until now. It never occurred to me that someone would lie about the year! I know I should have been more diligent, but what a disgusting way to do business. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!

James, the son, did a great job of diagnosing and repairing our car. It needed a MAP sensor replaced. Prompt, thoughtful, and effective service. Friendly, family run business. Don’t let the «gone fishing» put you off. The guy knows his stuff.

Horrible place I will never send anyone there ever. The man that I believe is the owner treated my wife like crap when she went there to have smog done. Horribly disrespectful and I will be giving him a piece of my mind when I come into town. Please do not support this company.

… Consider yourself warned. Be prepared to take your car back at least twice and put up with a heavy dose of sarcasm. Just not worth the grief.

I shop at the fishing store up stairs, i recently just bought a lure from there and it tore the salmon up !!~ jim (i believe his mane is) is very knowledgable about his products and will offer advice! great place, very well stocked and great service !!~ highly recomend

Extremely rude employees. The mechanic made disparaging and condascending remarks about my car and announced that it should be junked, although it didn’t stop them from taking my money anyway and then failing the smog inspection. I found a disconnected hose, replaced that, and the car easily passed at a DIFFERENT smog station.
If you like being abused and given the fisheye, this is the place for you.
It’s really amazing that this place is still in business.

Painless smog-​check. Got the letter from the DMV that it’s time to renew my registration and a smog check’s gotta happen before I’m in the clear.
J & D Auto is the first banner that I see and I pull in, cold turkey, at about 4:10 in the afternoon. Lindsey and Jim greet me with a smile and a ‘No Problem, give me 20 minutes’ when I ask for a smog check on the spot.
Seamless transaction and the total tab was $ 50. In, out, and thanks to their e-​delivery of my smog results my registration is taken care of.
