I love this place! I have been coming here for over a year, on and off… I live about 30 minutes away, otherwise I would be here more often. Megan is wonderful and an excellent teacher. I have learned so many new tricks and my core is reaping the benefits. When I first started I could barely do one double leg lift, now I can do ten without my feet touching the ground. Awesome! Megan is always offering classes at a great price. I have had many of my friends join pole fitness, it is addicting, fun and an excellent workout!

My sister and I traded Xmas gifts for this place… best gift ever!!! I absolutely love the classes and workshops they are so welcoming and so much fun :) I would suggest this to anyone who is looking for a change of pace in there workouts or someone who just wants to feel more sexy and have better confidence in themselves.

I got a groupon and tried out their classes – they are great! Especially if you are new to the sport – they are very patient and gauge the class direction based on your level of ability. I know right now they are moving but I’m sure their new location will be great!

I bought a living social deal to try 5 pole dance classes. It is def a workout. My arms were super sore. I’m really awkward at it, but still thought it was fun. I got some random bruises all over my body which kind of took away from the sexiness. Make sure you wear as little as possible to the classes so it is easier to grip the pole. If you are looking for a workout to mix it up a bit then this is a great place to try! It is clean and the teachers are really nice. The only problem is that each class is basically the same stuff so it could be a lil more boring if you have been a few times.

I have always been curious about pole dancing, but not for the general public. I just wanted to learn a few tricks for the husband and wanted to gain a little upper-body strength in the process. I was also in it for the weight-loss benefits to help me burn off a little baby weight. I instantly felt at-home at Ms. Tryss Boutique and became a regular student in the pole classes. There was no judgement about my inability to do any of the tricks, and there was certainly no need to feel self-conscious about my lack of a «perfect» figure. It is easy for one to feel nothing but sexy confidence! Both Kristal and Megan(two of the teachers) are great and very knowledgeable and experienced. I enjoy the parties that are held at Ms. Tryss Boutique. They host events on occasion, and they always have plenty going on! Lastly, the clothing and shoe selection is nice. They are always able to special-order items for you too. I love my stilettos and appreciate them ordering them for me. If you are looking to get some exercise in a fun, no-judgement zone, this is the place to be!

Although Monterey has been hurting for a pole dance studio for a long time, this place could definitely use some tweaking when it comes to it’s class format. Every other pole dance class I’ve been to has had a variable of tricks and warm ups to do for every class but in the case of Ms Tryss it’s the same routine every monday, wednesday and friday whether you go at 6 or 8. 10 minutes of warm ups, 20 minutes of spinning moves that are done in the same order every time, nothing new thrown in, 10 minutes of upside down where you basically just watch the instructor do things(bc she doesn’t walk around to improve your form or anything) and then 10 minutes of climbing the pole which you repeat the last 10 minutes only right side up. While I’m stoked to have a pole to swing on once again after moving out of LA, I am very disappointed to not be improving and adding on to my foundation rather I’m just repeating the same stuff over and over. I think a class more aimed at helping pole dancers improve no matter what their skill level would be the most beneficial– start with a group warm up but then allow each pole dancer to work on what they most want to improve which allows the instructor to walk around and give the girls suggestions on possible moves they may want to work on during that class. I’m at the point in pole dancing where I really want to work on upside down tricks so 20 minutes of spinning does absolutely nothing for me. I would love the time to do what I want so I could get the most bang for my buck. Lastly, the most fun thing about pole dance is the performing but we don’t do any of that! we spend an hour going through all these moves and then don’t get any chance to put it together??? why not have the last 5 minutes be dedicated to putting on a great song and letting the girls perform to it all the way til the end? In short– thank you for bringing pole to monterey but PLEASE improve the classes!

I was impressed with Ms. Tryss Boutique as I stopped by to check it out tonight… not really with the clothes, the sexy lingerie(very cute by the way-almost too cute) and decent selection of heels(I’m talking over 5″) but with the über impressing«work out» studio in the back. Beautiful space lined with poles galore perfect to learn a few tricks and or exercise into your sexy-self. I’ve been waiting to be able to workout on a pole(our house isn’t exactly built for a pole and I know they sell mobile ones but there is no room for one unless I put it in the kitchen and then I’d barely be able to do anything with it without a leg or two hitting the sink or the fridge, you get the picture). They offer classes which is nice and I’ve been meaning to try it for years even before the whole S-factor craze. I’m stoked that they carry those extremely high heels because between me and you I’d been meaning to buy a pair for the longest time. When I lived in a studio in Denver I just wanted to buy a pair so I can wear them while I clean… you know get a little leg work in. I heart heels and I miss skipping around town with my 4 inchers. Now I don’t have to go far to make my cleaning dream come true although my housemates might find it a little odd.
