A welcome bit of simple sophistication amidst the sameness of seaside. The small menu hints at unique dishes excellently prepared. Appetizers, drinks, entrees and dessert all surprised on the upside. Try the strawberry galette for dessert.

This place was a very pleasant surprise. After reading some reviews that the food was«over priced» and«average» I can honestly say these reviews were wrong. We started with the ahi tuna and shrimp bruschetta. The tuna was fresh on a bed of avocado. The shrimp was rich with garlic. Dinner was an amazing pork dish with delicious apples and figs. We also had an excellent steak that while delicious was the least remarkable dish we had. Dessert was a creative salted caramel and goat cheese panacotta that was delicious and a warm chocolate cake with homemade tres leche ice cream. Wine selection was limited but excellent and reasonable. With the rapid decline of Cannon Beach restaurants over the years, Seaside should be the new dinner destination, and Yummy leads the way.

The wife and I are in Seaside for a few days celebrating our 20th anniversary, and after checking a few options, we decided Yummy seemed like the perfect place for the first night out. The«Shared Thursday» special piqued our interest right away — one appetizer, one soup or salad, one entrée, one dessert, and one bottle of house wine. We opted for a bottle of the house white, which was a nice dry Spanish wine that paired nicely with all of our courses. We started with the Crispy Pot Stickers, which were filled with chicken, cabbage, carrots, and onions; nicely crisped and served with wasabi soy sauce and sriracha hot sauce. Very nicely done — all of the flavors dazzled the senses. Our second course was, hands down, the pinnacle of the night: Seafood Chowder. Chock full of sole, clams, prawns, yams, and bacon — all bathing in the most incredible creamy, bacony, silky smooth broth I’ve ever tasted. It was like liquid bacon — I seriously could have had a second helping of the broth in a cup and drank it with a straw. Our only mistake was not leaving ourselves enough bread to mop the bowl completely dry! Even if the rest of the service had fallen apart, this chowder would have guaranteed at least 4 stars from me. For the main course, we decided on the Prosciutto Wrapped Ling Cod. The fish was bright white fresh and perfectly cooked. The prosciutto wrap added a nice crispness and a nice smoky flavor, without the heaviness of bacon. The accompanying fingerling potatoes, peas, tomatoes, and sauces all added depth. Well done. The Lemon Tartlet finished off our meal perfectly — creamy, zesty, lemony and smooth. It came piled high with fresh whipped cream, with blueberry compote drizzled around the plate. While the flavor of the tartlet was spot-on, I felt it got lost in the pile of cream. I’m not normally one to share food, but in this case it worked well. We both came away pleasantly full, and we were able to sample a wide variety of courses and flavors. Now we are trying to figure out how to fit in another visit so we can try happy hour!

What a treat! My lover and I strolled in the other night whilst celebrating our anniversary and we’re delighted with our experience! We enjoyed the pot stickers, seafood chowder and the pistachio gnocchi, all we’re fan-flippin-tastic. The chowder was a standout and should not be missed! I recommend eating by the fire with wine, of which they have a great selection. I can’t wait to come back!

After spending most of the day hiking Saddle Mountain, we headed to Seaside to watch an awesome sunset and look for dinner. Even on the tourist off season we expected to be surrounded by families and kid-friendly establishments. Not so with Yummy. We arrived during happy hour, sat in comfy chairs next to the fire, and had our pasta and wine on trays as we played some cribbage. Service was friendly and fast with great food and great prices. A cozy place that didn’t mind our hiking garb.

In town on vacation. Checked Yummy out thanks to the reviews on Unilocal.Wasn’t disappointed. The chef is amazing and made diary substitutions and accommodations without any trouble. Much appreciated. Call ahead for reservations. You’ll be glad you did.

Happy hour at a wine bar should offer tasty morsels and possibly lead to dinner. What we got was salty, briny, mushy olives sprinkled with dry herbs. Hubby ordered a happy hour pour of red which was a Spanish wine we hadn’t heard of and was better than expected. I had a nice cremant. I was disappointed by the food at this point and ready to leave but Hubby was still thinking about dinner so he ordered another appetizer hoping it would redeem the place… a prawn quesadilla(and they do mean«a» prawn, sliced super thin and distributed sparingly within«a» tortilla). It was served with dish of bottled cocktail sauce and(I kid you not) a dish of Thousand Island dressing. The retro décor is fun and the fireplace looks cozy but a restaurant does not simply pour sauces into dishes and toss dry herbs onto brined olives… that is not cooking that is assembling. Sadly we didn’t find anything better and resorted to snacks for dinner. Maybe this is why Yummy is highly rated by Unilocalers… there doesn’t seem to be anything better in town.

My husband & I found Yummy’s a few weeks ago and now it will be a regular stop for us whenever we are in Seaside. Nice atmosphere, great wine selection & freshly prepared food. Great date spot!

I’ve been to Yummy on several occasions when visiting Seaside. Its very cute inside with a nice fireplace and a choice of couches/chairs to lounge in or table and chairs. Usually one of our favorite places to stop when we are out shopping to grab a quick flight of wine. This past trip the experience may have been my last. I know its bad to base it off of a single visit, but when the server/owner is the person serving you and they seem less than enthused that you are there, it doesn’t feel so welcoming to make you want to return. We were a group of 4. 3 of us ordered a white wine flight while one ordered a glass of wine. It was about 3pm on Saturday. We also ordered some nuts, which were very tasty. The server brought out our wine, didn’t say a word about which was which and walked away. We sat waiting to see if she would be returning to review the selections but she never did. We watch her serve other tables with the same attitude. It really made the whole room feel tense and uncomfortable, except for the party at the bar which appeared to have her full attention.

The space is very nice and cozy. There’s a fireplace, some couches, plenty of tables, and seating at the bar. Their wine list is substantial, and I had a delicious flight of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. I also managed to have a delicious vegan meal there! The soup of the day was a creamless butternut squash and black pepper bisque. I had a bowl of that, some olives, and potato wedges with ketchup. I am not sure whether or not their veggie burger is vegan, but I was very interested to try the port and black truffle ketchup, so I asked for a side of that with my potatoes. Our server was hesitant about that, but gave it to us for a $ 0.50 charge. That’s fine, port and truffles are not cheap. Unfortunately, I don’t think that particular ketchup goes so well on potatoes, but it was very interesting and would probably be great on a veggie burger. My only complaint(which is apparently shared by several reviewers here) is that our server was a bit off-putting. She was never downright rude, but she did make us feel unwelcome. By the time we left, we were both feeling rather nervous. I don’t think my boyfriend plans to ever return. I like the idea of sitting by that fireplace with a glass of wine and a book, but if I do, I’ll bring thicker skin. Yikes. I’d give this place four stars if the service was friendlier.

A Jewel on The Oregon Coast Soup: Apple purée, leek, curry with bacon was delicate with an extremely satisfying taste. Beet Salad with Gorgonzola was inventive with cranberries and grated Junipers on the rim of the plate… nicely done. Main entrée was Deconstructed Chicken Cordon Bleu oven baked skinless, boneless, free range chicken breast, crispy fingerling potatoes, sliced Canadian ham, soft Brie cheese, chicken Demi glaze, fresh parsley and fresh seasonable vegetables. Crème Brûlée …unconventional again but delicious ! Very nice wine list, I choose the Phelps Creek le petit Pinot Noir… very nice indeed. The staff were very professional, knowledgable and pleasant, a truly«feel good» experience. A little jewel on the Oregon Coast… visit this establishment… you will not be disappointed!

This place is way cool. I like the ambiance and I like their little HH flyer in the window(read the captions on it). They make really good, high class dishes for way less money. Only thing I was a little disappointed about was the burger was cooked all the way through and that’s the only option for it. Get the Ahi tuna appetizer… it’s so fresh tasting.

Cute little restaurant that allows you the option to eat at the couch with a tv tray or sit at a table. The hors d oeuvre plate: honey maple walnuts, mixed olives, county pâté and truffle mousse. The mousse reminds me of spam, it was good. There were some crispy crackers with herbs. They were tasty. The shrimp bruschetta was warm with crispy yet chewy bread drizzled with a delicious olive oil and sun dried tomato. The food here is yummy.

Great regular and happy hour menu. Awesome dessert. Comfortable setting with a fire place and couches… The server lady was a bit intimidating though… Over all, we were very happy. This is not a tourist trap. This is a real thing. If you are in Seaside, go to Yummy!

It’s all in the name. YUMMY! What a pleasant surprise to find this place in Seaside. First of all, the décor is super cute, it’s modern with a little vintage flair… there are couches by the fireplace, and vintage TV serving trays for your eats. The service was wonderful, very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the wine selection. Another great thing about YUMMY is you can order a taste, a glass, or a bottle of any wine on the menu! The food… we weren’t super hungry, and had trouble deciding what to eat, since it all sounded delicious, and we had already decided to save room for desert. We ended up ordering a few appetizers to split, which was plenty. We spit the onion tartlet, which had this amazing montrachet cheese mixture on top. It’s a little tangy like goat cheese, I’d never had it before, but I can guarantee it is something I will be having again! Then we had the prawns bruschetta, it was very light and they give you 5 good size prawns. I had a cup of the seafood chowder which again was very light for a chowder. It had huge lumps of fresh halibut, clams, and prawns with sweet potato chunks, which added a nice hint of sweetness. Remember I said we were saving room for desert… YUMMY has a rotating special panna cotta, which just happened to be butterscotch goat cheese topped with house-made caramel sauce and seasalt, there was no way to go wrong with this choice! It was different and delicious, the seasalt on top wrapped it all together. So, will I be going here next time I’m in Seaside, YES… will I recommend YUMMY to anyone I know going to Seaside, YES… Let’s just say, it would be hard to go wrong here.

If there was a Truth in Advertising Award, I would gladly present it to Yummy. Everything I had here was, indeed, yummy. Better than yummy. Delicious. Fabulous. The atmosphere is upscale but still comfortable, with cozy couches and chairs nestled around a central fireplace. If you decide to take the plush route, they even bring you a vintage TV tray to enjoy your goodies upon! Makes a memorable happy hour with friends. My favorite Yummy dish(I visited 3 times on a recent Seaside trip) was the Smoked Salmon BLT. No heavy, artificial-tasting salmon, but light, very faintly smoked salmon that was so fresh it was almost like sashimi. With aioli and the perfectly-crisp red potatoes, this is a dish I’d drive back from Portland for. Right on the sandwich’s heels is the Goat Cheese Panna Cotta with Caramel and Fleur de Sel. The saltiness, the faint pungency of the goat cheese and the thick, milky caramel was an absolutely ambrosial combination. Also winners? The lime Caesar salad was a creative, delicious dish. Also enjoyed the prawn quesadilla. Happy hour prices are excellent and there are a slew of choices, so try and squeeze in for that. A word of caution: this place can get very busy. We were turned away on one occasion due to the place’s capacity. If you’re only at Seaside for a short time and want a great dining experience, make reservations.

On a crowded with soccer teams president’s day weekend in Seaside, this was the little haven that reminded us we were grown ups celebrating valentine’s day in a cute beach town. We made reservations here for the prie fixe menu the week before and they were almost already booked. They only had coach seating left. Since my bf prefers the casual, we agreed to take the spot. We made it a few minutes late into the already filled restaurant, whcih was nothing like what we expected. The font and signage on the front made me think it’s be a bright cookiecutter like place, but it was cute and very Portland like with chalkboard menus and fancy but casual flair. We were seated at a couch next to the fireplace with vintage tv trays as our tables. We were the only ones not dressed up for the occassion, but somehow we all fit in anyways. The owner was at the wine bar with a big smile and he kept looking at us all night with an «aww so cute» look. I think we were the only ones comfortable and laughing and poking fun at each other. Everyone else was treating it like a serious dinner. The couch seating and wine probably helped us on that front. All the waitresses seemed pretty angry in general. They barely smiled. That part made it less comfortable. There wasn’t much service except when they brought out each course in mass. Our waters were never really refilled and we weren’t offered wine unless we specifically asked. I’m not sure of all the wines we got but we started off with a white for all the seafood courses and then went to a bourdeax and malbec with the duck. The malbec was amazing. It was a horrible fitting for dessert because the overly sweet chocolate ruined the complex taste of the wine and made it taste like any table red. We started with a seafood trio. There was a shrimp salad, smoked salmon, and oyster topped with a tomato salsa. All were excellent and refreshing. Then came the bread with a lox whipped butter. The whipped butter was great. It’s perfect for a brunch idea. Then came the lobster and crayfish bisque that was topped with crayfish chunks and a crème fraîche heart. It was creamy and hearty. Next was the crab cake. It had a crispy light crust and moist interior densely packed with pure crabmeat. It was one fo the best and most«real» crab cakes we’ve both had. It was also topped with a lightly pickled fennel salad. Then came the berry sorbet taht was more of a champagne float with a touch of berry sorbet. Since we both aren’t huge champagne lovers. it wasn’t our favorite, but it was a nice palate cleanser. We watched the poor chap at the tableclothed table next to us trying to impress the girl all night only to spill this champagne float all over his nice white dress shirt. We determined he still had a chance though based on her interested body signs. The main entrée was a roasted duck loin with sweet potato purée and asparagus. The purée was perfectly smooth and creamy. The duck was average and tad over cooked. It was in a cherry star anise sauce and the flavor was still nice. Perfect with the malbec. Last came dessert which was a mexican chocolate fondue with tuiles, bananas, and strawberries. This was an average end to what started off as a fabulous meal. Maybe they should’ve stuck with seafood for the entrée. The fondue was a cute idea, but maybe little tealights would’ve made it more romantic. Overall it was perfectly what we dreamed of and definitely a find amongst the random restaurants at Seaside if a touch of fancy is what you’re seeking.
