Airpet Hotel

Dropped my dogs off today. I have one dog that likes to play with dogs and then one that does not. The owner is very aware of this and keeps my dog separated from the others. He took my dogs outside where there was another dog. My dog and that other dog were barking and running along the fence. It was hard to pull away seeing this seen, but then in all of a sudden, I see the owner correct my dog and the other dog that was barking at each other. Both dogs calmed down and stopped barking. Totally made me feel good to know my dogs will be in good hands while we’re in vacation.
I know there are a negative reviews on the cleanliness or appearance of this place. It’s true, it’s not a fancy hotel for your pet, but my dogs like rolling in dirt, they sometimes choose the floor over their beds, and they don’t get toys anymore because they sometimes fight over them. This place is set up to meet the needs of all types of dogs and to keep them protected. As long as you communicate with the owner of your dogs needs (if any), there are no issues.
I have no other relationship with this facility than being a customer. I truly trust them with my dogs (who I consider my babies).

I’ve been boarding my little dog here for the last couple years and love knowing I have a dog boarder I can count! The owner always remembers who my dog and I are even though I only bring my dog a couple times a year when I go on vacation. He is always accommodating to fit my dog in on short notice. I don’t know why another reviewer would write a negative review when they haven’t even used the service! The important things to me are that I can drop him off without making reservations far ahead, pick him up/​drop him off 24/​7, and my dachshund is always happy and healthy when I pick him up! I’ve always been pleased with the Airpet Hotel

Needed a kennel for our cavashon for a 3 night layover. People were nice and arranged for airport pickup and dropoff, but vehicle was unmarked and dirty and the attendant didn’t check any paperwork or ask about feeding or watering instructions. Upon delivery back to the airport, the dog’s shipping crate water bowls had urine in them and the dog was incredibly thirsty. Add to this that the driver wouldn’t meet us at ticketing, causing a delay which made us very late. Use another kennel first.

Boarding your dog at this kennel is neglectful! We are in need of a boarding facility for our dog and went to check out the Airpet Hotel. I found out about the hotel from a dog lover’s book for Seattle — I am very disappointed in the book’s recommendation as I do not know how any dog lover could leave their dog at this kennel. I knew as soon as we reached the Airpet Hotel that I probably would not leave my dog there — just based on their outside play area. They have a small area fenced off in their parking lot. There was not a dog toy or plaything to be seen. Upon entering the facility the first thing that hit me was the smell. I know all kennels are going to have a doggy smell, but this place reeked! The owners greeted us — wearing their dirty sweatpants. We toured the facility, 3 dogs were roaming free and the rest were locked up in cages in small rooms that were shut up. The owners tried to put up the free roaming dogs when we came in but were unsuccessful as they shoved dogs into rooms and then opened the doors for us to see the rooms and the dogs ran out! I found this a bit odd for them to put the dogs up when we had called to schedule an appointment to come so they knew we were on our way to view the place! The rooms were dark with small windows at the top and no lights on. The kennels in the small rooms were not bad, although only one had a bed in it. According to the owner you can bring a bed or they will provide one for your dog. However, the bed should be washable (my bed is washable, but why do I need to bring a washable bed when only my dog is going to be using it in his private kennel?) The website says the dogs play in the day care all day and are outside when it is nice — this is not true as most dogs were caged and it was a nice day. The only toys we saw were all ripped to shreds, some dog’s food was in a container thrown on top of cart and the back room was incredibly disoranized with extra crates jammed in. It seems they are trying to get as many dogs into the faclity as possible. All in all I think my dog would go nuts if he had to spend day at this kennel, let alone a week! Cement floors in small, dark smelly rooms are not where I am going to leave my dog!

I visited Airpet Hotel before I decided to board my dog here. It was very tricky to find especially in the dark. It was located in a warehouse in a dark corner lot. The owners are on staff ²⁴⁄₇ (that was why I thought this would be a great location) but they are on staff because they live there. The place was dirty, run down, and smelly. They showed me a room with kennels and there was a dog bed that was torn with fluff everywhere. All the owner had to say was that she hadnt cleaned it up and needed to put the bed back together. (I think she needed to just throw it away). That ripped up bed was the only one there though, so maybe thats why she coudnt throw it out. They had an area outside in the parking lot for dogs to play in but there were no toys or anything. I asked where they keep the smaller dogs and she just looked at me and then consulted her husband. I would never leave my little dog here! It may be ok for large, outdoor dogs. The atmosphere reminded me of a large, outside dog run, but never for a spoiled pooch like mine.
