Just signed a 15 month lease. Leasing agents both professional and friendly. I really like the location as it is walking distance to queen anne and pike place. We have a corner apt on the top floor, so noise of neighbors hasn’t really been an issue for us. The shared area 3^rd floor roof top is a nice space and well maintained, since it is winter now, I haven’t seen a lot of people using it. The building has a gym, with basics and free weights. Parking is $ 125 per month, which is cheap, however the spots are tight. Apartment is comfortable, kitchen is a small and lacks storage space, but has a dishwasher! Pet deposit and pet rent is expensive. We have one cat and the charge is $ 40 per month. We looked at 12 other apartments before choosing this one and found most pet rents to be non exist or less expensive. The idea of pet rent for a cat just seems a little crazy to me though. Overall nice place, would recommend.

After over 2 months of research, I decided to move into 2900 on First apartments in Dec and although it has been just 15 days, I have loved every minute of it. the views are great in my apartment.
Everything is so close by, its a walker’s paradise. Its Clean, pet-​friendly and plus the resident serives in this apartments are amazing. Issues get resolved as soon as they come.
I would surely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the heart of belltown.

I’ve lived here for about 6 months now and love it. Great, clean and safe location. Fantastic amenities and dog friendly is a hug plus. Great customer service from staff/​management as well. Would recommend to others.

This review is for my first month living here + the leasing process. I always come and update my reviews, so if I move out, or after a year I will generally make it a point to see if things have changed. That being said, I’m going to try and break this up to be understandable.
The Leasing Process
— I was moving from another state. Which means– all the things over the phone! Jenna, the agent I worked with, was helpful and prompt. There weren’t many issues, and she even was able to mail me my keys since I’d be coming in after they had closed on a Saturday. So basically, everything is straightforward, got a good deal, no issues with the leasing process.
Move-​In
So. Move-​in wasn’t flawless. I drive a compact SUV and the parking spot assigned to me was next to a mammoth truck. Basically, I was able to fit the car in – and exit through the trunk. I was a bit frustrated because apparently this was a known issue, but I guess why this didn’t «ruin» anything for me is because the response was pretty quick when Monday came around and the office was open. Like, 3 different people talked to me and they let me choose another spot. So basically, the resolution was quick — and while «flawless» is nice, also seeing them quickly rectify an issue (even if it’s small), is positive.
Pros thus far
The grounds are lovely. Everything is kept clean and neat. The dog park is AWESOME. I mean, no, it’s not big (well, maybe for little dogs it’s enough room to run), no it’s not a replacement for a normal sized dog park, but for those mornings + nighttime bathroom trips, it’s great. Also, if your dog is social, then there’s enough room to romp + play. They have a sanitation system that runs twice a day, so it doesn’t smell bad/​weird/​etc. I mean, that and it’s Seattle so– rain.
Also. The Gym is awesome. The equipment is actually decent equipment, not stuff that looks like it’s been around since the 70’s and struggling to continue on. The treadmills have screens, and there are also TV’s mounted. I don’t feel the need to have a gym membership, and — yes, it is fuller around peak gym times, but otherwise it’s pretty quiet. Also clean.
They have a package delivery system that UPS + Fedex + (carrier) can use that basically gives you a code and you get it from the machine. No worrying about getting to the office in time, or a package going missing. Which is great for a person like me who does all their shopping online, haha.
Oh, and, haha, my apartment! I love it =)! The view is great, it’s quiet, it’s pretty, lots of windows. So, assuming all the other apartments are similar in style + amenities, you probably wont be disappointed. I even have the smallest 1 bedroom, no problems here :)!
The grilling/​fire pit/​etc area is nice. So is the clubhouse.
Cons thus far
I think— one of the other cons I have, and I don’t think this is a deal breaker, but I’ll list it is… oh dear lawd, the parking spaces. They are so tiny. Even after being moved to be between two little cars, parking is a bit hellish and I still struggle to get out the door. If I were bigger, I’d be screwed. I’m not sure what model car they used to decide on how big to paint them, but I assume it was European– or a SMART car. Plus, it’s exacerbated by the fact that some of the spots have pillars which cut into the actual spot, but then are the same size as all the others. It makes it difficult for those who are parking in those spots, which then make it difficult for the ones who park next to them. Basically, I’m not sure if anything can be done, but, the spots should really be a bit larger. :/​
So that’s my impression, etc thus far.
Really, there’s no reasons thus far not to think these apartments are great. :)

After a lot of research on appartment communities in Belltown, we decided to give 2900 on First a try. We moved in at the end of March and we are happy so far.
Before signing the lease, we were a little skeptical due to all the bad reviews we read online. So we took all the relevant comments to the community manager and asked about each and every one of them. Very patient, Matthew answered all of our questions. Most of the comments we had were about the status of the construction happening on the site. Apparently they had delays with the city approving their project and that is the reason for which everything was delayed.
All the construction is now over and the new amenities are awesome. The gym is very well equipped and the rooftop dog park is a treat for the pets. The location is pretty amazing, one block from the Sculpture Park.

We moved in 6 months ago and we had a great experience so far. Matthew and Jenna from the onsite management are always there to help and answer any questions which made our time here very comfortable. They answer e-​mails promptly and are extremely patient with packages we get (oh, so many of them). Location is great for us, with walking distance to everything you need, several bus stops near the building and a convenience store across the street.
Our apartment is in top notch condition, no bugs/​mold/​wear. We hardly ever hear our neighbors except occasional slamming the door from the hallway or stamping from upstairs. ;) While construction is sometimes loud, it is always quiet after business hours and the end is very near. We are excited about soon-​to-​be-​open amenities, like the new fitness center and rooftop lounge, or FOB entry system.
Complaints would be really nitpicking. The only thing I would like changed is to have more ISPs options than just Comcast, especially since there better providers willing to wire new buildings in the area, like Cascadelink.
Overall we are very happy with our stay here and we will likely renew our lease!

I lived here for two years and it was the worst experience that I have had as a tenant. The poor people in the office were trying to do their best but the ownership company doesn’t care about anything but their bottom line.
We were repeatedly misled about timelines and extent of the remodel. Repeated complaints of invasive and lecherous activity by the onsite construction crew fell on deaf ears.
I wouldn’t think that a complaint entailing not feeling safe in my home would be regarded as frivolous.
Avoid this place if you are able!

We just moved in a week ago and so far the process has been fairly effortless. I have found the staff to be very amendable. I will provide reviews if I found out otherwise. I was recently impressed when I e-​mailed with a service request, and they submitted the request for me without any hemming and hawing about using their online work order system. They completed the work order that same day.
The only major downer right now is the keys to the building hardly work at all. I can only get into one door with my key. I’ve been told they will be switching to a key card system for getting into the building, but the timeline is uncertain.

I’ve lived at 2900 for about 8 months now and I have to say that the service from the building management has been miles ahead of what I’ve dealt with in other buildings in Seattle.
I’m quite excited for the new dog park and fitness center to be completed.

We moved here towards the end of october after searching for a bigger floorplan (we were in a studio in taylor28) and we chose the stewart floor plan of 640sq. ft. in the second floor. Everything was going well until somebody moved in the floor above us. That’s when we realized the poor sound proofing in these apartments (either that or the floors are REALLY thin). We could clearly hear people speaking upstairs, walking, vaccuming, using their garbage disposal (it vibrates like I switched on my room garbage disposal) and what not. Added to that they have a big dog which can bark continuously so loudly its like having a dog in my home. Ya, thanks now I don’t need to get my own dog. They should have some restrictions for the dog size and dog breeds that is suitable for their apartments, not just advertising any size is fine, we love pets! Worst of all the rooms is the bathroom where you could hear all the sounds if you know what I mean! Could’nt blame the people upstairs completely, since the apartment is built poorly and old.
My husband has lived in six apartments in Seattle including Skye at belltown (which is older than the space needle) he says nowhere the sound proofing was as worse as this apartment. The utilities are shared, which again gives a high bill, many new apartments have the option of paying only for what you use. As mentioned by other reviewers only good thing about this apartment is the location. The interior is renovated and good but still if you want a peace of mind look somewhere else. We have to use keys to summon the lift which I find cumbersome and was told fobbing will be done in some six months. Hope they do fobbing for the community entrances as well. The garage is leaky and there is no reserved spot for parking. Spoke to CondoInternet people, their fiber lines are nearby but management not ready to change the cable wirings. There is slowness if you plan to work from home, cable speeds can never reach the likes of condointernet. Many amenities like gym, business centre are yet to come. Other than space there is nothing much good here and regret moving here. It is better to look for an apartment which has all these facilities already rather than waiting and compromising.

Just moved in to 2900, Jenna and Matthew have been wonderful and helped make the move an easy one. I love the location in Belltown and Love, Love, Love the updated surfaces and balcony.

Update/​more info. I was promised a completed dog park by end of May when I moved in in April which was a big selling point for me. Then they moved the date of the promised amenity to end of July. After July and still no dog park, or fitness center, or rooftop lounge they said coming fall 2014 and dog park by end of Dec. Perfect for those hot winter days – am I right??! NOW the ever changing advertising plastered all over our buildings exterior is promising all amenities Spring 2015. Perfect. Right when I move out. $ 2000/​month for an apartment. Trust me when I say there are a lot of better deals out there.

I moved into 2900 on First Apartments last week and everything has gone very smoothly. The staff is very friendly. Bridgette, Jenna and Matthew have gone out of their way to accommodate me and help me with my move. The apartment complex is located in a great part of Belltown, with all sorts of coffee shops, restaurants and bars in walking distance. The fitness center is being renovated, so in the meantime they gave me a free membership to Soul Fitness, a great gym about 3 blocks away.

RENTERS: PROCEED WITH CAUTION
I lived here for just under 1 year. Worst experience I have ever had in an apartment community. The issues I experienced are too numerous to list, but ultimately can be summed up by saying that the parent company Aimco does not value customer service or the residents of their communities.
The rent per month at 2900 is not worth the lack of service & appreciation you will receive if you choose to live here.

Bridgett is great, and a real asset to the company. The company is awful.
This place has been under constant construction for over a year. Drilling in the patio began at 9 am. When I first moved in, there was constant work going on for the outside of the building that lasted for 6 months.
Parking is 150 a month. My car was broken into, with a window broken and my things stolen. I never received any kind of notice from the apartment. A letter saying «Sorry your stuff got broken under our watch after you pay so much for it.» would have been enough for me to shrug it off.
The parking lot is a mess of cars being worked on, and construction equipment everywhere. An overhead pipe leaked onto my car, totally covering it in mud.
Now, I have been given 90 day notice to leave for construction. I was offered the illustrious deal of being moved into another one of their properties, of course paying 300 more in rent a month.
My previous experience with AIMCO was the same. Do not rent from this company.

Absolutely horrid. Don’t make the same mistake I did. You WILL be ripped off.

**I do not live at the building **
I schedule an appointment for touring the building and the agent showed me a 1 bedroom apartment with a view of the space neddle, fronting a garage she said with that as far as she knows there werent plans for any contruction there.
I dont like the building because it feels old, the apartments had old appliances an carpets and was the same with their gym. Also i noticed that was not well clean at community areas.
1 month latter after i visited the building, they started a huge renovation at the building, we werent told about that SMALL DETAIL, the closed an alley and that exact garage is their material «warehouse»
As a possible costumer it makes me think about their management but now after reading that not even the tenants where told about the renovations, just make me advise you stay away of this building.

It’s Saturday morning and I just had to close all my windows as they are even doing construction on the weekends!
They didn’t tell anyone that was renewing that construction was coming and here’s the list we are currently dealing with:
— Under construction
— Loss of views through windows (covered in black screens)
— Loss of water throughout the day
— Loud noises throughout the day (if you work from home GOOD LUCK!)
— Lack of communication with complaints AKA they do NOT care what their current customers are going through
— No gym
— No pool/​hot tub
What you can deal with even without construction:
— Overpriced
— Your car getting broken into in our «secured» parking lot
— Lack of response from management
— Walls you can hear through and floors that creak above you
As much as I use to love living here it’s completely changed and I wouldn’t want anyone to go through this!

If you’re seeking a REAL home, then this is by far the best place to live. Located in a non-​sketchy part of Belltown, these wonderful apartments have been tastefully renovated to stylize a very comfortable, homey feel.
When my partner and I were apartment hunting, we checked around Capitol Hill, Downtown, and Belltown. But when it came down to it, there was no one quite as hospitable as Kristin (the lovely lady who will probably handle all of your needs once you move in).
She buzzed us in, and we walked into a very kitsch corridor, with comfortable seating and a couple people in the lobby. She came out and greeted us, and brought us into the office.
While walking into the office, I noticed incredible features that were top-​notch finishing touches. First, there were newspapers galore for people to enjoy. And secondly, and by far my favorite part, there were freshly made cookies sitting on the coffee table, ready for everyone to enjoy! What a wonderful woman Kristin was. She wasn’t trying to sell us, but you could clearly tell that this was a daily occurrence for the lucky residences at 2900 on First.
After a wonderful tour, showing off luxuriously spacious units with very generous balconies, we were pleasantly surprised. Before arriving, we were hesitant to look at the unit, but afterwards, we were blown away!
Oh, and here is the best part for dog lovers. At the threshold of the main lobby elevator sat a tray of a dozen doggy treats. Talk about a class act, that Kristin! She strives to ensure you feel like this home is your home. And we really, honestly, do feel that away about 2900 on First.
I highly recommend 2900 on First to anyone who is seeking a caring, pet-​friendly apartment complex.
