Opened in 2011 by lifelong friends Chef Kevin Chung and Tim Adams, 8oz Burger & Co has become a local favorite for burger lovers’ in the Seattle area. Located in Capitol Hill and Ballard, this foodie destination redefines the hamburger one bite at a time.

8oz Burger & Co. is committed to sourcing the best local and sustainable organic ingredients. Keeping in mind the foundation of a delicious burger, the focus is on the quality of the meat and bun while incorporating creative and delicious accompaniments to complement each burger. With over 16 burgers to choose from, there are plenty of options to suite every flavor profile.

Meet the Business Owner

Kevin C.

Business Owner

Seattle native, Kevin Chung has spent his profes life in the restaurant industry learning the ups and downs and ins and outs of the ever-​changing landscape of Seattle restaurants.

He befriended celebrity chef, Govind Armstrong, of Top Chef fame, and creator of the upscale burger concept «8oz. Burger Bar» in LA. Kevin decided to bring the concept to Seattle’s bustling Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Kevin reworked the menu to make it 90% his creations. He brought in local local meats, produce, cheese, buns, ice cream, beer and liquors so the menu reflects the type of food he values and enjoys eating.

After working in large restaurants, Kevin enjoys the cozy neighborhood tavern vibe at 8oz. Burger Bar. The vintage touches and rustic finishes provide a comfortable atmosphere for couples, families and groups of friends

He keeps his job interesting with different cooking methods and ingredients. He loves to experiment with new flavors and to combine that keep customers returning!
