Tiffany began in the beauty industry as a receptionist at a high end salon in Olympia. As a stylist, she developed a specialization in corrective colors, ‘Genre Hair’ and Wedding Parties and eventually moved up to Senior Stylist, Assistant Manager and currently the Salon Manager with over 10 years experience in the industry. Her amazing leadership stems from creating a positive, trusting, and caring culture for the A Luxe team and our clients.

Honestly, the place is stunning & the people got me in right away, & I have no complaints about customer service either Rebecca was awesome!!! Truthfully, for the price, my nails look great, but I just don’t feel like it’s a 5 star job only because end of the nails don’t feel smooth. They feel a bit grainy… however…If I’m ever in Seattle again I would go here. I just got a bit spoiled by one Japanese nail artist in the PDX area, so they get my 5… but Aluxe gets my 4.5 heart as well!!!

I had my first set of lashes done 5 days ago. I’m not sure what happened, however when I was getting them put on my eyes were burning extremely bad and watering. I had to go back in the next day and have a corner fixed because it felt like I had something in my eye and was poking me. It’s now five days later and you can’t even tell I had my lashes done! My friends who have all been getting their lashes done for years where in shock. I spent $ 200.00 for nothing. I hardly have any lashes now and it’s been less than a week. Not sure if the glue was bad or what happened, but I’m very unhappy and waiting to see how this will be corrected. UPDATE as of this afternoon. the owner Heather got back to me right away and had no problem giving me a refund. She was very nice and professional! That’s awesome customer service.

So I gave this salon 2 stars as a middle point between manicures (LIZ is amazing, 5 STARS) and the poor dye job I received recently (0 STAR). Let’s start on a positive note:
Liz (5 Stars)
I’ve tried many nail salons in Seattle, including mom-​n-​pop and chain salons, low price & high price. All are subpar. The only person I’ve found to a good job, in Seattle, is Liz. She takes time with the small details that make a difference, like properly cleaning around your nails, removing all the nail polish, making sure nails are cut and painted evenly. This attention to details makes her pedicures look amazing.
Hair Color (0 Star)
I can’t remember the name of the woman who did my hair. I decided to get my roots done since I was going in for a pedicure. MISTAKE! I have black hair, so it’s fairly straight forward to touch up the roots… or so you’d think. When I got home, I realized the stylist left a small «halo» of black dye and she didn’t even get all of the grey hair by my face. I came in the next day to have her touch up the grey areas. She redid all the roots around my face and left an ½″ — 1″ wide black band around my face (see photo). I don’t get it. I’ve done my own roots many times. I’m untrained but somehow am able to dye my hair and not leave a «halo». How come a «professional» can’t do the same?!!
Bottom Line: Go to LIZ for manicure/​pedicure, but nothing else.

Great spot! I had my manicure and pedicure done here by Caitlin for almost three years and was ALWAYS excited to come by. Super clean, very friendly, professional and relaxing. This is your next salon!
They do hair as well, and they do it well. My memories of this place will always be fond, despite no longer living in the Seattle area.

If you are in Seattle, and in need of lash extensions, go see Kriztina! The salon itself is very fun, modern and comfortable. Kriztina is super sweet and you can be guaranteed she will not damage your natural lashes. She does both classic and russian volume. Volume is a technique that takes more skill than regular classic, and not every lash artist out there is capable of this niche. I am in love with my volume lashes she did for me! Very comfortable, very natural! You can be guaranteed quality service here.

Was in Seattle with my husband on business (work Christmas party) and wanted to get my nails done so I went on Unilocal and started searching. I wanted something very natural… gel nails but with a tip because I wanted more length. This is the only salon I could find that did that (gel extensions). They were very helpful and friendly on the phone (unlike other places I had called) so u thought I’d give them a try. Boy am I glad I did!!! I have been getting my nails done for over 30 years and these are by far THE BEST nails I’ve ever had!!! Becka did them and she was so meticulous and patient! They came out EXACTLY the way I wanted them and I was SO happy when I left! I absolutely love them and can’t stop looking at them!!! Thanks Becka… you’re awesome!!!

You will leave this beauty parlor feeling glamorous! Not only can you have your hair laid for the Gawdsss but you can get the best eye brow treatment and eye lash extensions! You can seriously have everything shaped and tamed here. I am in love with how well Tiffany does my hair and nails. This place should be experienced by all women!

If you are in the greater Seattle area you need to get lashes from Kriztina Taylor! As a passionate lash artist myself, Kriztina is one of very few (4) lash artists I trust to do my lashes. She cares about the health of your natural lashes and she’s a total sweetheart! Let her make you feel more beautiful with lashes which will save you time in the morning. I highly recommend Kriztina, she’s great!

This salon has been so nice, welcoming, and warm. I had my nails done at some other salon in a different state for a wedding, but my nails did not turn out as planned. I called this salon since they are close to me and they got me right in with no problems. I then called a few weeks later to schedule another appointment (lip wax) and I thought I was shooting for the moon to get a same day appointment, but I got in! It was my first lip wax ever and the lady was so nice and she told me how to take care of the skin after the wax to make sure I don’t have a crazy break out since my skin can be on the sensitive side. I would highly recommend them.

I dropped by this salon to get my nails done for a wedding. The proprietor was able to squeeze me in last minute (thank you!). The salon is clean and cozy, and the staff is friendly and professional. I was very impressed by Liz’s (manicurist) and Caitlyn’s (pedicurist) attention to detail and meticulousness. They prepared my nails well, applied the polish smoothly and with even coats, and stayed within the lines. (May seem silly to mention that, but I’ve been to salons at this price point that didn’t quite pull it off.) I requested normal (non gel) polish and 3 days later it still looks great (no chipping). Caitlyn and Liz did a phenomenal job and I highly recommend.

I have been trying to find a good salon since I moved from Portland. I used to get gels done there all the time. And couldn’t find ANYONE! In wals a coworker is the most amazing colored nails ever.
Liz did my super awesome eyeball nails for Coachella, and I knew I found my girl. She is so sweet and offers color suggestions and design ideas. Take your own idea to the next level with different glitters, or color designs, or even little rhinestones! On I had to do a pupil with a cool rhinestone.
A little in the pricey side, but she does such a great job. She’s a perfectionist, and won’t let you walk out u till she thinks they are perfect.

I went into this salon with a groupon and after the appt. Liz asked if I wanted to purchase another prepaid pedicure/​manicure so I did. I scheduled on their website to go in and never received a reminder call or email about my appt. I had the appt. written down in my calendar for the next day. When calling about the above, I was told I had to forfeit my purchased coupon even though I had never received any confirmation email/​phone call nor a reminder of my appt. I will find another nail salon as I don’t trust a business that seems so eager to «forfeit» prepaid purchases.

UPDATE: I ultimately got the color done by Tiffany.
And it looked amazing.
I have longish hair that is a little wavy, and I like it to come to a V cut in the back. She handily got that cut on my head, and proceeded to give me a color and foil that was more balayage style, resulting in an ombré like look that netted me many a compliment and held its shine and shades through the whole summer.
Am looking forward to a return visit!

Needing to tidy up my appearance in preparation for the impending company holiday party, and the impeccable timing of an Amazon Local deal for A-​Luxe mani/​pedi, I booked an appointment for eyebrow wax/​mani/​pedi.
The good things:
1. Online scheduling, I love this.
2. They’re open till 7pm.
3. Very close to work. There aren’t many mani/​pedi/​brow wax places near by.
4. They’re very warm and welcoming.
5. The place is really clean.
6. The nail tech, Liz, is very talented and loves what she does.
The bad:
Eyebrow wax wasn’t really that great. I don’t really know what to ask for as far as shape, but usually the esthetician can clean it up and define it a little better so it at least looks groomed. Once I got home and looked at myself in better light, I’m not pleased with the shape or the amount of hair left where it should be at least cleaned up. This may have to do with the lighting in the hair washing station where I got my eyebrows waxed instead of the usual esthetician’s table. The skin is still red in some places the next day, whereas in the past, it’s always gone away the next day and I’ve never used any retinol type stuff on my face.
I will definitely be going back to A-​Luxe for more mani/​pedi. Liz gave me really good advice on taking care of my nails better, she gives great massages and really took her time with my messed up cuticles. She even gave me awesome snow flake nail art for free after I remarked at her nails and other nail art around the salon. Plus they have a deal where I can pre-​pay for my next mani/​pedi for $ 34.

Since my first time coming here, I have been back about 80 times. I bought the Shellac membership and am really glad I did. The people here are STILL awesome and always make me feel at home, it’s like hanging out with friends. Chelseigh the nail artist, is really really really really really really good. I have been so many places and have people come up to me to compliment me on the nail designs (no joke, this has never happened to me before. but its happening now).
