I’ve been eating here for at least 15 years. I love the food, this is a rad spot to swing by late night or whenever, it’s always fun to sit and eat and the food is always great. I recently did something new– and tried to order over the phone which I guess is a big mistake. I figured that I could just order the same thing I’ve been ordering for 15 years and it’d be no prob. Wrong I guess. I got some guy on the phone who snapped at me for not making the order properly(what are you, the soup Nazi?) and then he hung up on me when I frustrated him. So I called back and a lady answered and took my order, but I can hear the dude in the back actually mocking me out loud, maybe he thought I couldn’t hear, or maybe he hoped I could? Anyhow, I was really sad and put off, I don’t feel like I deserved to be made fun of for not phrasing my order properly. I guess I’ll just go around the corner to Cedars of Lebanon from now on… The folks there are always very kind to people!

They say they are open until 2:30 am so I drove way out of the way to get some food and they closed 20 mins early. Right in the window and they are closed

I had the vegetarian sandwich with falafel and cauliflower, cucumber, salad, and French fries all wrapped into a delish lavash bread and glued together with hummus. I think I have to come back tomorrow

Really good Falafel/Shawarma. Lots of options for vegetarians: Try the soup it’s pretty good. Also the Mazzat veggie plate is a pretty good option for variety. For the non vegetarians, the Gyro and the chicken shawarma are consistently good(and probably the best in Seattle). Try to take cash since they charge 50 cents for credit card transactions.

This place is no joke. The ratings are real. Maybe the best gyro I’ve had. Friendly service too. If you’re looking for a delicious meal, you’re money will not be wasted here!

Alladin still exists! On second thought why wouldn’t it? It’s good, fast, and open late. The prices aren’t so cheap anymore. They seem to have remodeled and cleaned up. Get the lamb Gyro combo.

The falafel wasn’t that good –it didn’t taste thoroughly cooked. On top of that the guy running the place seemed to be a fast talker. The place used to be really good, but this was my first visit in a few years, and it was disappointing.

Maybe it might have been the time i went but it wasn’t as good as i thought. My co-workers always refereed Aladdin’s to me because they know i’m a big gyro-critic. I went and ordered the shwarma plate and it wasn’t what i intended. I’ll have to try it again. It just tasted really dry and there really wasn’t any flavors that stood out to me. I’ll definitely have to try it again. I would say that it’s awesome due to it being convenient and the setting of the restaurant was a nice place to just hang out with friends and talk

Probably the unexpectedly best meal I had during my stay in Seattle! It is a very humble place, you order at the register and then wait for your food. We ordered the beef and lamb plate and the spices and flavors were amazing. I will come here again if I come back for a visit. The prices are also great.

I’m a little bummed that they opened 1 hr late.(Waited the whole hour at Starbucks) The food and atmosphere looks amazing though and at 11:05 this place already has a line of 5 people and me. I ordered an order of Dolmathes(8 for $ 5.50), Lentil Soup($ 2.29), 2 #20a combos($ 8.22 each) and a Gyro Combo($ 7.31) for me and my roommates. Lots of food for cheap. They’re also really fast. ^-^ Only rating this 4 stars for opening 1hr late, not answering their phone when i called at 10:05a even though I could see them inside and hear the phone ring and not offering compensation or something.

This place is a dive and a half, but the cashier was super friendly. I had a gyro that I rather enjoyed. However, there was a lot more beef than lamb in it. As such, i just felt like I was eating a cheeseburger in a pita. It was still tasty, but not really what I’m used to in the way of gyro meat.

If you are on campus or around the ave, this is a must stop. The combo is a great deal, with some of the best gyro’s in town. They are quick, friendly, and the food is top notch. Make sure to try a Vimto soda as well, goes perfect with the meal. Great for lunch, or for late night. Make sure to get some of the chili sauce too!

As I walked into this place all I could think of was one thing… this place must be amazing for the un-sober. There are bars all around the avenue so what better place to eat? The smell of everything cooking in this kitchen should allure all people regardless of their blood alcohol level. After reading a few Unilocal reviews, my suspicions of this place were true! I got the dinner combo plate, which was loaded with food. I picked the lamb/beef combo and the spices on it were heavenly! That alone I would come back for. In addition there was basmati rice, salad(which perfectly balanced out the meal), toasted pita & homus and a can of soda. As you can tell, this was an abundance of food for about $ 11. Everything else on the menu was less than $ 10-$ 11 and those portions were also huge so you definitely get a lot of bang for your buck here. The seating is in the back and there are plenty of tables. The décor is interesting, however it did get kinda stuffy. But really, who cares, it’s all about the food when you come here.

Amandeep: Hey Tony, have you ever been to Aladdin’s? The food there’s pretty good. Me: Aladdin’s? idk, maybe when I was drunk once. Amandeep: HOWDOYOUNOTREMEMBER? Me: Probably because I was drunk, or it was a terrible time and I just wanted to forget the whole thing. Amandeep: We’re going to Aladdin’s today, Tony. Me: I can’t, I have class, let’s go next week. Exactly one week later… Amandeep: Tony, we’re going to Aladdin’s Me: Aladdin’s? What’s that? Amandeep: It’s that gyro place I was talking about. Me: Oh, I’ve never been there before… Amandeep: I thought you said you went there when you were drunk. Me: Well… maybe I did… I don’t remember. Amandeep: HOWDOYOUNOTREMEMBER? Me: Well… One more week later… Amandeep: Hey Tony, let’s get lunch. Me: Sure, what did you have in mind? Amandeep: How about Aladdin’s? Me: Okay, Aladdin’s it is, I think I went there when I was drunk. It’s pretty good. Amandeep: HOWDOYOUREMEMBER? Me: Dude, it’s pronounced alaDEEN. Amandeep: I fucking hate you, Tony. 5

I am in love with the aladdin fries. This is my best alternative to carne asada fries here in Seattle. The gyros are pretty good too, but the fries is what sets this place apart from the other gyro/greek places. It is a layer of thick-ish cut fries with garlic sauce, some feta cheese, and gyro meat on top! The fries do get a bit dry so I always ask mines with extra garlic sauce. Theres actually a pretty big seating area near the back, despite how small the place may look from the front.

This place! So, I’m confident in saying that it wasn’t just because we were intoxicated(don’t worry, we took a Lyft there!) that the food was so supremely delicious! I ordered a falafel pita and my compadre got a gyro(I think… again with the meaty details!) pita. We pretty much inhaled our respective meals and the whole time we were gushing about how fantastic they were. Great textures and flavors! Little hole-in-the-wall place and open til the early hours of the morning? Yes, please. Again, the dudes at the counter were very friendly and excited to hear our feedback. I WILL seek this place out when I’m back. You can count on it!

Haven’t been around U-District much but I remembered I was fond of Aladdin. Since I was around the area today for training I thought I stop by for lunch. The place hasn’t changed one bit. I say the only thing that changed for me is the food. The shawarma is different from what it used to be. This time around they didn’t grill the veggies, instead there were sliced pickles, onions, and two slices of tomatoes. Eck, the sour pickle taste ruined the sandwich. I took those pickles out and my lamb shawarma sandwich tasted 10 times better. I paid $ 6.50 for the sandwich alone but if you wanted to add a little extra you get a combo that comes with fries and a drink.

I’ve been coming here for years. The place is a dive, but the food is good. It’s a great late night eating place to sit with a friend and recover from fun evening. I usually get the number 9 «arab style» which consists of a gyro wrapped in a large tortilla and that’s pressed to a mild crispness. But it’s all good, experiment. Bring cash though. There’s an extra fee for small orders that are charged.

Hmm, I was told by a friend that this was the best Gyro spot next to Mr. Gyros. I beg to differ. The chicken gyro was a pretty big size but the meat was kind of dry and not flavored that deliciously as Mr. Gyros. My friend ordered the lamb/beef meat and I noticed that the meat chunks were small so you eat the in small bite sizes. The meat was also really greasy. It tasted pretty good though. I wish I had ordered the lamb/beef gyro. This place wasn’t too busy when my friend and I went but it took so long for us to get our food. We had waited about 15 – 20 min(seriously, no one was there). I finally got frustrated and asked the when we were going to get our food. This is definitely not the best gyro I’ve had. I was actually disappointed. The interior of the restaurant is kind of fun. I think they tried really hard to make their restaurant look nice.
