Alexandria Rossoff Jewels & Rare Finds

I went to Alexandria Rossoff looking for a unique engagement ring, preferably one that wasn’t ‘created like so many others from big box jewelry retailers’. I was able to get an extremely clear diamond from the late 1800’s that was cut on a grinding stone and in impeccable shape. At her urging, I was also able to have the ring created with a custom design that means a lot to my Fiancée with the help of her hand-​carving ring craftsman of a partner, Glen.
To say the least, the ring was extremely well-​received and I love telling the story while my Fiancée loves showing off her new engagement ring. We will definitely be happy, repeat customers.
Alexandria was great to work with and understood the pressure surrounding such a big decision. I’m so happy that I discovered her shop and would urge many others to try it as well.

My fiancé and I started our search for an engagement ring together a few months ago. I thought I knew what I wanted looking at pictures online, but once I started trying them on in stores, nothing stood out to me! I wanted something more authentic and meaningful. The craftsmanship of vintage rings give a uniqueness and charm that cannot be replicated by modern rings.
Our experience at Alexandria’s was nothing short of amazing! We went in with the intention of just trying some rings on to get a feel for the styles I liked. The assistant was completely understanding and was not pushing a sale at all. Alex came up to personally introduce herself. She was so warm and inviting and truly wanted to help. I described my perfect ring to her and she instantly knew what I was looking for. She pulled out the most beautiful engagement ring! Once I tried it on I knew this was the ring for me.

I highly recommend Alex, her staff and her shop! My fiancé and I had been looking for a beautiful engagement ring for quite some time. I favored vintage rings because I believe they have more character and history, and was happy to hear that my fiancé wanted to look in Alex’s store.
We told Alex’s staff that we were simply browsing, and instead of being pushy sales people, they quickly turned our visit into a fun experience. Alex’s assistant invited my fiancé to «play» by trying on different rings, which she obviously loved! Alex also spoke to us at length, and my impression of her was that she is very knowledgeable and passionate about her work. It just so happened that Alex had the perfect ring for us!
It was a fantastic experience, all around!

We set off from Vancouver on a Friday night in hopes of finding my girlfriends engagement ring in Seattle. We had googled this store and headed there first thing Saturday Morning. We spent two hour with Alexandria and one of her staff members which led to my girlfriend falling in love with one ring. We asked could the ring be put on hold for a couple of hours allowing us to speak in private and transfer money. We were told that was no problem and the ring was placed in a sealed envelope with our names, phone numbers and email addresses. We were told that it was going to be held until the end of the business day but if we wanted it held longer we could put a refundable deposit on the ring. We agreed to be back by the end of the day. We returned 3 hours later and were told by one of her staff members that another couple came in requested to see the ring and Alexandria herself decided to sell the ring to them. A disgusting act of pure greed with no compassion for my girlfriends feelings. Don’t do business with this woman her word means nothing, she turned what was suppose to be a magical experience for my girlfriend into something very ugly.

After months searching for a specific piece, I think I visited every jewelry store in Seattle, and this one is the best! Alex and her staff went above and beyond to help me in every way. They understood exactly what I was looking for and helped me find the perfect pendant and chain. Next time I need jewelry, this will be the first place I look.

Some really great selection and beautiful pieces, but:
1) Alex is WAY PUSHY, and just tries to show you/​pull out everything, even when you’ve already taken the time to look over everything in the cases yourself. Chill out woman! I know what I like and am looking for, and you don’t know my style or what I’m searching for yet.
2) She also pulls out the most expensive pieces (showing me a ring that is $ 15K OVER BUDGET).
3) Looking at the quality of the center stone diamonds and general market price for the quality, you get to see that her prices are pretty OVERPRICED (center stone and/​or setting).
4) She’s also not very accommodating. Unlike most all other jewelers I’ve worked with, she will not sell the setting w/​o a stone from her store, but she is not looking to go out of her way to find you a stone of your liking like real jewelers would You can tell she’s in it for the $. Just pick a stone off another ring w/​o close examination! HELLO!!! The center stone is CLUTCH, and yes, i want to see it under good lighting and a microscope bc every stone is super unique! Anyone who has invested in a stone knows this.

I’ve bought a couple of pre-​owned pieces here, and been very satisfied with the price and service. They have a good eye for product, and find stuff you won’t see elsewhere. I like estate jewelry, and am very particular with regard to the era, style, and type of piece. Alexandria listens well, and may be able to find what you’re looking for if you can describe it in terms that make sense in the jewelry business. That said, it’s hit or miss as to the availability of what you want. She’ll come across what you want eventually, but you’ll have to buy off the rack if you want it by a certain date.

Let’s be honest, I would love my engagement ring no matter where it was from… BUT I am so glad it’s from Alexandria Rossoff! We shopped a few other stores but as soon as we got into Alex’s shop we knew (well, at least *I* new) that my ring was in this store. The selection is incredible — all types of well kept vintage jewels — plus they can customize or alter a vintage piece OR design from scratch a new piece. Alex and Pam were SO helpful and friendly during the whole process. We narrowed it down to a small handful and then I went back in a few times after to try and retry and try some more on until my choice was narrowed down even more. They always made me feel welcome and had some really great advice about jewelry and engagement rings that I never would have known otherwise. Since then, I have had to take my ring a few times (for little issues that happen with a vintage piece occasionally) and they are always friendly, welcoming and have it shiny and sparkly again in a just a few days time. You could go anywhere to pick up a present or engagement ring, but you could also feel pressured or ignored or like you’re not making a huge decision. Skip all of that and just go see Alex!

Just purchased a stunning midcentury gold/​diamond ring here — I love it and loved the experience even more. Alexandria & her colleagues were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, savvy and helpful, and they sized the ring as promised and on time. I can’t imagine a better experience, a nicer environment in which to see gorgeous jewelry, or a more stress-​free purchase. I’m a huge estate/​antique jewelry aficionado and am thrilled with finding Alexandria and her store/​website. She knows her stuff and yet is very approachable and accessible, with a great eye for what works and looks good. I almost never make a purchase after just a first visit, but in this case, I did and am glad. Thrilled with my ‘new’ vintage ring, and more thrilled to have found a terrific jewelry haven.

Amazing! My husband and I bought a celebration ring for our daughter’s birth. I found something totally unique, reasonably priced and beautiful! The best part about the jewelry is the story it comes with, where Alexandria found it and where it was made. Such an amazing fine jewelry store! Can’t wait to go back for more!

Wow, what a gem of a store. Alex and her staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, low pressure, I didn’t feel like they were trying to push me into buying anything, but they did provide great advice and helped me to navigate through their wonderful collection until I found the ring that really was so special I could not leave the store with out buying it, and I am very happy I did, I think I got an excellent price, and I left with a smile and a great feeling that I got the right engagement ring, and my conscious was way more clear as it was an alluvial diamond that had been found in a river bed over 100 years ago, not mined by moving 2 tons of dirt and fueling a bloody régime. I will definitely be going back here for any future purchases. Highly recomended!

What a fantastic jeweler! I recently purchased an engagement ring here for my soon to be (fingers crossed) fiancé and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. The ring that my girlfriend fell in love with on-​line had been sold by the time we made it to the store to look for rings. I explained the situation to Alex and she was able to put together a piece that put the original ring to shame, and all for a VERY reasonable price! Alex took the time to listen to what I wanted and turned a sad situation into something more than I ever expected. Thank you Alexandria!

When I got engaged, my mother gave my fiancé her engagement ring to give me. I didn’t care for her setting, but loved the sentimentality. So we started a tour of settings online and in person to find something that felt right. The first time we went to Alexandria Rossoff, we loved the estate pieces. After several other shops, we went back and found a 1930s ring that complimented my hand. Alex worked with a jeweler to translate that ring into an exact copy for me, made for my finger, using my family diamond. It’s a beautiful setting that my fiancé and I both enjoy. It really sets off the family diamond (which was pretty modest to start with).
It took over a month, and I did find myself eager to see the product. But I can’t imagine loving another ring. Alex took the 1930s original off the market so the jeweler had a model, so she risked the sale of a well-​priced piece while working on mine. I appreciated her vision and her clear explainations of the process. My advice — go see her!

Alexandria Rossoff deserves a special place in heaven as a reward for her kindness, expertise, sensitivity to customer needs, and completely pressure-​free approach. I must say, her staff and Alex herself have made this very special purchase an enjoyment for me and has brought millions of smiles to my Fiancée. Alexandria Rossoff’s shop is a rare gem here in Seattle and this place will always have a place in my heart. The process was so smooth and easy; expect first class service and tons of one on one attention. We are planning on going back soon for wedding bands and perhaps all my Fiancée’s wedding jewelry. I’ve been frequenting Alex’s shop for over 7 years now, and have only wonderful things to say about the experience and selection. She always manages to find so many unique items in a variety of price ranges, so it’s never a problem to find something that fits my budget and personality.
It’s such a joy to wear these little pieces of history, and Alex makes it possible – we’re lucky to have her in Seattle!

Perhaps I’m biased, but this in undoubtedly the best fine jewelry shop in Seattle, whether you are looking for vintage jewels or not. When shopping with my husband for an engagement ring we toured every shop in the city, and this place won us over right away. Alex and her staff have a knack for finding the right pieces for their customers, and as a result, we bought both our wedding rings from them (and a few pieces since then).
I like that they’re a small, independent shop, that was easy for us to browse when we were doing the first major jewelry buying of our lives, and I love that every piece they carry is carefully chosen and one-​of-​a-​kind. We’ll be customers for life.

My fiancé and I stopped by Alexandria’s store on Sunday and were cheerfully allowed in although the store is normally closed on Sundays. (I had learned about the store from visiting her website which came up in my search for antique jewelery in Seattle. The website deserves mention because I found it helpful in summarizing different periods of jewelry
and user friendly.)
Alexandria and her assistant allowed me to try on every ring I admired, steam cleaned a few, and were very helpful in educating us about the various qualities of each ring. Choosing a ring can be an overwhelming process, but they helped me whittle down and refine my choices without pressuring me in order to make a sale.
