I went in for a preliminary exam and cleaning in February. The dentist himself was not personable, slightly dismissive and would not answer the questions directly. The hygienist barely knew what she was doing (and admitted it) and the cleaning was painful and put me in a state of concern. The team created a treatment plan with the costs clearly articulated (Well, so I thought) but instantly offered me a credit line to pay it off over time. This offended me – seemed like they assumed I could not afford the treatment plan cost.
The worst part? The billing system is a mess and I was mislead. I was told by Dr. Afifi’s wife (she does the billing) that my insurance would cover the maintenance procedures I had done only to receive a bill for the entire amount! I called my insurance and they said it was because they were ‘out-​of-​network’. I should have done my due diligence and checked my healthcare website but when I was told they were ‘in-​network’, I should be able to trust them. They offered me a 20% discount for the misunderstanding but it’s still a ridiculous amount to pay for maintenance work.
Basically, I will write them a check to get them off my back and out of my life and will not be going back. I would not suggest Dr. Afifi to anyone.

Used a groupon to see Dr Afifi. The dental hygenist who cleaned my teeth did an excellent, thorough job — and was gentle enough (and offered a numbing agent for the parts that she knew would hurt). When the dentist himself saw me, he was very astute, noting a couple things about my teeth that really showed me he was paying attention. I will definitely be back to see him and his staff in the future. The front desk gal was also very friendly, prompt, and helpful.

I’ve been without dental insurance for awhile and really needed a cleaning so jumped on the recent Groupon for an exam, cleaning and x-​rays with Dr. Afifi. I was expecting a high-​pressure sales pitch for other dental services but was extremely pleased that this didn’t happen.
I was able to easily make an appointment and everyone in the office was very nice and professional. They seem to have all the latest equipment. They did a very thorough cleaning and review of my teeth, mouth and dental history. It was a very pleasant experience and when I do have dental insurance again I’ll be sure to go back.

1−800-DENTISTS sent me here, and yes they are very clean and very up-​to-​date, however, I went to a new dentist today and learned that the procedures that Afifi’s office were trying to convince me to get were completely unnecessary. It would have cost me over 700 dollars out of pocket, including insurance coverage, and they were acting like it was an urgent matter. So, save your money, and go to a dentist that cares about people over profits.

I would strongly recommend Dr. Anoosh Afifi as your primary dentist.
In nutshell, Dr. Anoosh knows what he is doing!!! He will describe exactly what type of treatment is recommended, will provide various options and treat you accordingly.
Specifically, what I like about him is that he has sense of fashion :))) he he he I mean, he can create a beautiful smile for you.
During the procedures, he guides you throughout the entire treatment by explaining each act as to what to expect.
Oh, one more important thing. In comparison to other Dental Offices, Dr. Anoosh has state of the art facility with the latest technology. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. They will work around your schedule easily.

Two Afifi’s can’t be great can they?! Yes they can! Although my dentists have the same last name, they have never met. I chose Dr. Afifi because I originally thought it was my old dentist Nadia Afifi, only closer. To my surprise, at my appointment I found out that I was at Dr. Anoosh Afifi’s office.
I have to say, I used to be a dental assistant and this is the BEST DENTAL PRACTICE ever! I have never had a more thorough patient exam in my life. He is so professional and from your first visit you are made to feel comfortable. I learned so much in my first appointment. Everyone should watch the movie that I watched about oral health. You will never forget to floss again. So was that a scare tactic? Hardly!
Dr. A measured the distance between key points of my bite, his assistant took several films to see my wisdom teeth and after consultation we arrived at the conclusion that I needed them removed. I figured I’d be shuffled to another dentist to have this procedure done, but Dr. Afifi assured me that he was able to do this on his own. He also suggested that I may need braces. Sigh… why oh why didn’t I find him sooner? I have always thought I needed braces, my bite has always felt odd. Perhaps with the erupting of my wisdom teeth, the extra crowding and pushing have made brace-​face a necessity. Now the choices. Invisalign? Lingual braces? Old school metal-​mouth? Cool rubberbands?! I digress.
This practice is definitely the best that I have ever been to. I have been a patient to many dentists and an assistant to plenty more. I highly recommend them. Dr. Afifi is removing all of my wisdom teeth next week, it’s true, I am actually excited, not exaggerating, not being sarcastic. I am actually looking forward to getting my teeth pulled out. Go figure.
Professional and all around smart!

I’ve never viewed going to the dentist as a pleasurable experience and the same was true the first time I went to Dr. Afifi’s office. After seven months as a patient of Dr. Afifi my dentist appointments are feeling a little less scary.
As many of you may know, people from western Europe are not known for having good teeth and for a while I was doing my best to keep that reputation alive. Dr. Afifi and his staff have done a great job of bringing my oral health up to scratch.
I was very impressed with the amount of sophisticated equipment that Dr. Afifi uses.
