2÷17÷16 Stopped by to check out store because of good reviews and lost track of time looking at everything. They have good items and souvenirs that make great gifts.

What a neat store with fun little gifts and things. Fun visit to explore the store, especially during the Hallowe’en season. If there’s ever a time you need gag gifts or funny gifts for an occasion, stop in here!

Everyone must go here, especially grumpy people because you will always find something so random it makes you giggle. Seriously. I love Archie McPhee’s even though I never NEED anything from here, but I do always want something from this awesome store. This is one of my favorite places to get gifts, especially for Secret Santa. Around Halloween they do have Halloween costumes and accessories and the staff knows exactly where to find anything that suits your fancy. There’s also a photo booth, in addition to huge, plastic cockroaches, random board games and voodoo dolls. It’s certainly an eclectic and quirky store. There is a parking lot on the side of the building; however, street parking is easy to find in the neighborhood.

Visited on a recent trip after buying online from them several times, very cool store that has a lot more for sale than what they offer on their website, like surplus containers, doll parts & Halloween costumes.
Love the fact that they don’t yell at you for taking pictures in stores which is sadly becoming the norm lately. They also have a B&W photo booth ($ 3 or 4?) that you can take masks/​props/​lobster claws into to get your picture taken.

One of the weirdest and greatest stores you will ever step foot in. Awesome staff as well. Check it out.

Always fun to shop there. Prices are pretty high — but the problem with that complaint is there really are no comparables.

Even though my rate of annual visits to Archie McPhee has declined exponentially over the past decade, I still drop by from time to time, usually if I have some silly art/​craft project that calls for miniature plastic or rubber animals, vehicles, or other assorted knick-​knacks.
Although the appeal of Archie’s has tapered off for me, I still recognize and appreciate the silly fun… while the pragmatic side of my brain sees everything there as goofy crap that is destined for a landfill, the other side of my brain still gets a kick out of things like wind-​up lederhosen and pickle-​flavored gum and giant latex rats. There is rich and subtle humor in many of the handmade laminated signs that label the various items, and the employees seem to be having a genuinely good time.
I’m sure anything else I could possibly say has been said already.

If you want to know why this is a great place to visit, just look at the photos! The store is an experience, and I defy anyone to go on there and NOT find something to buy!

Weird, but fun! The staffs were very friendly and didn’t disappoint me. Fun, fun, fun!

There’s nothing to not like about this place.
I love showing friends this store when they’ve never experienced it before. I don’t even have good words to accurately describe what they sell other than «magical awesomeness».
If you have little kids and need something fun to do on a rainy afternoon, give them each $ 10 and let them run loose! There is literally something for everyone at this store.
I love their mystery bags they sell around the holidays. You get way more goodies than the $ 25 you paid for the bag. I had my friends each reach in side to pull out their mystery gift and everyone got a laugh out of their prize.
The only beef I have is their limited parking, but whatevs: P

Kitsch, gags and monkeying around. Beyond the kooky randomness of deadstock items and collectibles, you’ll actually find useful home goods. I’m never disappointed at Archie McPhee.
And like their sign says inside, no, this isn’t a museum. This junk is for sale. It’s here and it’s real.

I would give Archie McPhee’s 10 stars if I could! I literally think it is the coolest store on the planet! From 1 cent items to $ 10k — this is a nerd’s paradise! Where else can you bring a toddler with their piggy bank and come home with a bag full off goodness!
This is definitely the tooth fairy, party loot bag, and Christmas stocking stuffer outlet! I sooooooo miss living in Seattle and being able to pop down here any ‘ol time.

They make the craziest things that you will find all over the world in novelty shops once you know to look for the Archie McPhee signature packaging and/​or logo on the back of the item.
Faves for me include finger puppets, GIANT cement styled hand chair, and their signature (and retired, sniff…) line of dolls (think barbie meets Archie McPhee!). I actually went to high school with one of the guys they made a character after, The Fuzz! I feel sooooo blessed to have an autographed doll and calendar ;-)
From Flying Nuns to Angels of Parking Spot dash bobbles, they’ve got it all! Oh, and don’t forget costume novelty items and the entire section dedicated to BACON!!!
Archie McPhee’s is ALWAYS on my stop list when visiting Seattle and I can’t wait to go again!

I thought this would be a typical toy/​gag gift place. This shit be cray. They even have stuff like the fake clothes/​material goods you burn to your ancestors/​deceased relatives. WTF.
Creepy masks galore, plastic UPS truck, cake toppers, randooom asss shit. anything you might need for a costume. (minus a turtle shell backpack.) But amazing nonetheless.
I wanted to keep walking around in case I missed anything.

Ideal place to find your finishing touches to your Halloween costume… or just random, plastic things for anytime of the year.
There are only 4 – 5 parking spots used only during the time you’re shopping. Otherwise, to the streets.
Like the hundreds of reviewers before me stated, there are large rubber masks of horse heads and lots of novelty bacon items. If you need Edgar Allan Poe or Sigmund Freud action figures, this is the place. While you’re at it, get a horse-​head squirrel feeder, jumbo plastic syringe, or taxidermy eyes.
While I didn’t buy anything, I got a couple chuckles walking from aisle to aisle. The staff were really friendly with the greeting and salutation too.

A definitive Old School Seattle experience, Archie McPhee has morphed over the years from purveyors of cast-​offs strange and unusual to being primarily manufacturers of the strange, unusual and mass produced (aka Accoutrements).
Originally Archie’s was located toward Lake Union on Stone Way and you could find novelties (the oft mentioned rubber chickens, squeezee aliens, et al) and wonderful dead stock — old pin-​up girl postcards, overstock animé & cartoon items, cake decorations, industrial bits and bobs, tin toys, snow globes… it was like finding JP Patches’s favorite store.
By the time they moved to Ballard… and now back to their current digs in Wallingford… they had to find a way to round out that dwindling dead stock… how many dinosaurs, flamingos, Hawaiian kitsch items, old Catholic icons and plastic crosses were produced in the last century anyway? (OK — a lot — but not enough to fill demand)
Thus we have all the wonderful items Archie’s is uniquely qualified to design and supply us with through their Accoutrements brand… if you can’t make it to the store, you can buy on-​line. However, the unique bits & bobs they still manage to stock in store are not really available on-​line — a good reason to still make the trek at least once.
Archie’s represents a once-​weird & wonderful Seattle that is rapidly disappearing.

Ever randomly walked into a weird store in the middle of town? Well this is as weird as it gets. Honestly. I heard about this store from my boyfriend who knows I love weird things. While visiting Seattle, Archie McPhee was one of his top destinations to hit up. I expected weird, but I didn’t expect it to be this eclectic with stuff. We literally spent almost 2 hours in the store going through every section multiple times since it was pretty difficult to decide what to purchase as gifts for our friends. So I’d suggest visiting the store when you have plenty of time to shop. If not, you could be able to find the same products online somewhere too.
We’ve all seen the Horse Mask by now; it can be found here among many other masks. There are toys, trinkets, and tools for anything. This store is primarily good for those of you who are into crafts, collecting stuff, or just finding stuff to shop for Halloween or Christmas gifts.
Needless to say, it doesn’t have anything and everything, but it at least it has a LOT of things!

I haven’t been to Archie McPhee in years but stopped in over the weekend to pick up some random stuff for Halloween and for fun. There’s all KINDS of stuff to look at and play with. The employees are super nice. The shop has a few parking spots (accessible from 45^th). Depending on what you’re looking for/​at, the item can range in quality and price. You can easily spend a lot on a few things or a lot on many things. They have a bunch of novelty band-​aids, which look better than they stick (I still buy them when I come in though).
Archie McPhee is the perfect stop to buy a gift for someone you know very well or don’t!

I am a big fan of Archie McPhee. The novelty items are cute and many are well made. Though I find the prices to be high, when I went online to try to shop for some of the same items elsewhere, the prices were the same. I think it comes down to the fact that the prices feel high for the fact that you are often getting something that is entirely useless except for humor, but there isn’t enough demand to drive the prices of these kind of items down to where you think maybe they should be for a lollipop shaped like a coiled snake or candy on a stick in the shape of mens underwear. Is a D20 sucker worth $ 5? Well, they didn’t have one in stock when I was there, but I was told it is a really huge sucker, so maybe. If there had been one for me to see in person I probably would have bought it.
The squirrel underpants were designed by someone who either doesn’t know the anatomy and size of a squirrel or doesn’t care — they don’t have holes for tails. And they are sized more appropriately for chipmunks or newborn guinea pigs. As soon as my guinea pig gives birth I’ll post photos of her babies wearing underpants. Woot!
I love seeing the crazy overstock, discontinued and accidental products as well as the products specifically designed and commissioned for production by Archie McPhee. I spent over $ 100 and was handed a free book that explains the history of the store as well as detailing in beautiful color some of their most memorable and loved products.

I LOVE THIS STORE.
I’m a weirdo and this store fits me perfectly. In fact, writing this review makes me homesick for it and I’m going to have to visit again very soon. Like tomorrow.

I do love Archie McPhee and it’s the kind of place you can pick up intresting party supplies or really oddball gifts or toys (i.e. nuns boxing). It’s definitely a destination and not to be missed when you are in the neighborhood.
