BigFoot Java

The baristas during the week are super awesome and the coffee is great every time. The weekend however is not the same. In fact there is one barista in particular that constantly serves me burnt coffee that I can’t even drink because it’s soooo bitter. Yesterday was the 5^th time this has happened. I have brought it up to the manager and weekday staff but they clearly are not going to retrain her so I will need to find a new drive through as I have a toddler and newborn. Sigh

I’ve been coming to this Bigfoot for about 3 years now and I think this mornings visit will be the last. The service here used to be excellent and my drink was always perfect but over the last year everything has gone downhill. Some of the girls working there are pretty unfriendly and act like its a chore to answer questions and make a drink. The short haired brunette this morning barely interacted with me and when I handed back my signed receipt she yanked it out of my hand and gave a curt «thanks». Maybe she was mad I only gave $ 1 tip? I felt that was generous given the service. I will say the coffee the blonde gal made was a lot better than the last few. Last gripe is they never put the punches on your card! I’ve never got a free drink in 3 years because they just don’t add them. Bummer because they have great coffee and smoothies.

Waited 20 minutes just to get a redbull. If there wasn’t someone in line behind me I would’ve left.

My usual coffee shop was closed on Christmas so I thought I would swing by Big Foot Java because I just needed my caffeine. Sure enough they were open. They are open ²⁴⁄₇! This is a drive thru only. They have the usual espresso drinks, their specialty drinks, Italian sodas, plus some pastries. The prices are very reasonable too. I got a 24oz americano and it was really good. The usual place I go to is a bit bitter and strong. They do have larger sizes which I don’t see at other espresso stands. So if I really want to be wired all day, I can get a 32oz americano.
They have two sides you can drive up to but there was only one barista working that night. She was helping the other customer first but she took awhile because the customer’s order was a big complicated one. She kept changing number of shots and other add ins and asked a bunch of questions. I would have been frustrated with that customer but the barista was very pleasant. This is going to be my go to drive thru espresso stand.

Best coffee ever! Super friendly people. Love there coffee and the girls always go out of there way to make my kiddy there drinks adding a sucker on top which makes my kiddos super happy !!!

I’ve been coming here for a couple years and the coffee is great, that’s the only reason my boyfriend and I come here. One thing that is quite bothersome and extremely unprofessional to both me and my boyfriend is how some of the girls in there act. If you want to give consistent good customer service you act the same to each and every customer no matter what the gender. My boyfriend states when we go there together in the morning they act completely different when he goes by himself and this isn’t the first time I’ve heard this, another guy I know says the same thing. It’s disrespectful and just bad customer service. Maybe they think they’ll get a bigger tip but no matter what we give them the same amount every time. I’d rather not have my boyfriend come home from the coffee stand telling me about how much of a hoe this girl was acting compared to when we go together. Thank you & I hope management takes this into consideration. (Whether it is also the managers doing it or not) professionalism is more attractive!

Drive through only. Clean little spot, really friendly service– chatty staff. Did not have to wait long even though there was a line. I would go back! Tip your barista!

I like to come here every time I’m in Seattle. The prices are very reasonable and the drinks come in many different sizes. I usually get the raspberry Italian soda which I think tastes better than Nordstrom eBar. The workers are pretty friendly. No walk ups at night though, drive through only

Always remembers my drink order, some workers need to work on their customer service skills though

I always have had the best experiences here and their coffee is so delicious. The girls go out of their way to make sure everything is how you like it! The only downfall is during the day they get busy and long lines in their drive thru but it’s worth it!

I love this place! They are consistently nice. Come here enough and they will learn your drink. I try to get here at least 1 – 2 times a week. I came for the great coffee, but I keep coming back because of the service!

My best friend got me HOOKED to this place!!! Their coffee is amazing & service is magnificent! I go almost every day to get either a mythical mocha or abominable white chocolate mocha. Always blended. Their smoothies are refreshing. Not pricey at all.

So i just left and i’m kind of disappointed at the professionalism here at least wait until your customers gone to be a snotty brat. Just an FYI to those that don’t know the EXACT name of the drink you order the lady with the funky colored WAY over did hair will make sure you feel really uncomfortable if you don’t. She literally turned to her co-​worker repeated what i said laughed and walked away snickering. I ordered a White chocolate latte OMG kill me… I dont understand how she thought i wouldn’t know what she did, I WATCHED AND HEARD everything she said really rude. FYI lady if you are having a bad day stay home !! :) oh and by the way thank you to her co-​worker who when i asked what the true name of the drink is she let me know that it’s just a White chocolate mocha. Sorry decided to give this one a try but Starbucks all the way people !!

Holy moly whoever is working on Wednesday at 4:30 you take forever just to make one drink. seriously people have places to go! if you can’t make coffee don’t do it at all!

Best place in Burien for a Blended Chai Tea, with protein powder and coffee!!! I go here every morning, and my drink is always made the same no matter who makes it! I love the consistency of BFJ! The baristas are very upbeat and friendly, and always make my daily visit worth it!

I would like to give zero stars!
I worked one day at Bigfoot java and that was enough, I was already nervous about working there after the orientation where they were nice but very unprofessional.
On my first (and only day) the barista was nice but was talking bad about the area and how gross it is that people go to the laundry mat and how trashy the Burien area is (I happen to live close by)
Not to mention that instead of using step stools to reach things on the shelves they walk all over the bar that the coffees are made at.
I left there with a bad feeling about working there. I ended up quitting for that reason and a personal reason… That was June 24^th, I have yet to be paid for my day of work, so I called about two weeks ago and they said that it would go on the next payroll. It didn’t, so I called back and they said that I was supposed to call and remind them to pay me. Then they said that they would send me a check. That was a week ago, I just called and was yelled at and they lost my sheet that said when I worked, so I told them the date and time. I asked to have the number for the manager and was told that they could not give me that info.

I love their coffee. Never had a complaint about it. Some of the girls can be pretty bitchy, but thats very rare. I come here once or twice a week, and will continue to come as long as their coffee tastes good! I also love that they are open ²⁴⁄₇.

I LOVE BFJ so much. Their whipped cream is amazing and service is always great. 12 oz Strawberry Sasquatch in a 20 oz cup with hella whip… at 3:30 AM? WITH A SMILE ON THE *FULLY CLOTHED* BARISTA’S FACE?! To the ladies at BFJ, keep doin yo thangg!!!

I LOVE this place! My girlfriend and I come here every day since we discovered it about 5 months ago. We save about twice as much money by going here than we were going to Starbucks. They even have 32oz. size (if you REALLY want to go there). Plus, the staff is friendly, and they’re open 24 HOURS. Seriously? What more could you ask for?

Late-​nite coffee fix and the white brunette (?) gal working that night was pretty chill and good. I had one of the specialty drinks with vanilla (Yeti-​Nuti, Nuti-​Yeti? Pffft, something like that). It was supposed to also have nutmeg but apparently she was out or couldn’t find it. =/​It was pretty good, though, still.
One thing I found out later as I walked up while waiting for my pizza next door was that I guess they have a night walk-​up cut-​off period. I s’pose I can understand that but it wasn’t too late and I was just waiting for my pizza… =/

I had been to the Burien Bigfoot several times in the past year (when I’m using the nearby laundromat) and thought I’d stop by again for a pumpkin latte. The wait was ridiculously long at the drive-​thru window. It seemed the barista was chatting up the person in the car in front of me and I almost left, but again, I REALLY wanted a pumpkin latte. When I finally got to the window, I asked for my drink and the barista pulled out a cold drink cup and pumped pumpkin syrup into it. I said through the window that I wanted a HOT drink and she acted all pissed and threw the other cup away. She hadn’t asked whether I wanted hot or cold to begin with but I thought it was weird how she assumed this would be a cold latte, especially considering it was chilly and rainy out. The drink itself was not good, syrupy sweet and I didn’t finish it, which should tell you something. I’ll drive down 1^st to Starbucks next time.

I was running some errands and a thought popped into my head that I really needed some coffee. Right when I thought this I remembered I was by the newer BigFoot Java and took the turn to go in. Right away I noticed a car getting their coffee so I pulled in behind them, little did I know, that was a bad decision. The person in front of me must of had a really good conversation going or something because after 8 minutes go by I start to wonder what’s going on… It looks like there’s another open spot on the other side but there’s nothing telling me its open on that side so I wasn’t sure and I didn’t want to go over to the other side to be informed I just made myself wait longer. I assume this waiting isn’t going to take much longer and finally the barista hands the lady three drinks. What seemed like forever I finally pull up to the window.
Right away I notice the barista is a different lady from the one handing the previous customer her coffee like they switched position? So she asks me what I want and I tell her a grande iced caramel macchiato and she went to make it. She then came back over and looked out the window to look back and then tells the other «barista he’s here, he’s back!» I’m thinking what the heck is going on? Then she tells me the total and I give her my card and she goes over to the machine but starts talking about the person behind me waiting in line, it must of been very important so much that I was getting very annoyed that I decided to come here from a «quick stop.» She then hands me my card back with no receipt so I assume it just didn’t process just yet.
When my coffee was done the other barista takes it and finishes it and hands me the drink and tells me to have a good day, I then tell her I never got a receipt. Then the two baristas in there are trying to figure out what happened and are trying to find the receipt. What happened was they were so engrossed in this person behind me and the conversation they were having she didn’t even swipe my card and I made sure to check my bank account aswell. They Can’t find a receipt and she finally says «you have been waiting to long, just get outta here.» after she said that I just took off, I didn’t even care to tell them that this was unacceptable, I was to tired of waiting and being annoyed and obviously they don’t care about their customers.
It is a good thing I was given the free coffee, I intended on paying for it but I am glad I didn’t. This was one of the worst ice caramel macchiato I’ve had, it was almost pure sugar in liquid form. I like my coffee sweet and I have been to a BigFoot Java in the past, I know they make sweet coffee but this was a over the top sweet. Im pretty sure ill keep driving by next time and find another spot.
