Bobachine

Despite the mixed reviews of this place, my thirst for some kind of boba drink couldn’t be stopped so I made my way down here before class started. Located in a small row of shops that faces the mini city park and Westlake Mall, it’s fairly easy to find this shop.
Interior of this place is pretty cozy. Simple décor, colorful menus, and overall, the drinks here are fairly priced. Do note that if you decide to use card here, all transactions under $ 6 are subjected to an extra $ 0.50 charge.
If you like to save a little on drinks, make sure to look to the wall where the daily specials are posted. For me, I ordered an fresh fruit drink and it was pretty tasty! Got the avocado drink and it was refreshingly good without it being too sweet in comparison to other places. Wait time for the drink was roughly around 5 minutes (given that there wasn’t anyone else in line).
There are a variety of food offered from small snacks (chips, cookies) to sandwiches and musabis. Didn’t get a chance to try the food but the sandwich and musabi does look quite appealing.
Wifi here is free by the hour (a little odd…) and you can extend it by buying something. While there are plenty of tables inside the store, you do get the option to take your drinks outdoor where there are more tables/​chairs available :) Great place to people watch as well.

Decent milk tea. There isn’t much seating available if you are looking to stay. I usually just order to go.

Came here from San Diego to visit family, gotta say i was not impressed. There weren’t many boba shops around and i got my hopes high when i came across this place. The lady was rude and acted like it was a pain having to make my drink, i was the only customer there at that time. I paid about $ 5 for the smallest size of thai tea with boba. All i could taste was milk.

It’s too bad you cant give a half star because this is really a 3.5 star place. Bubble tea is good but not the best in town, but their location is hard to beat. Service here is generally friendly.

Not happy with the service today. We ordered 2 scoops ice scream; cone too small. It’s dripping so we have to ask for cups. But the cashier gave me dollar for my change instead of cents. Hope they can think better next time.

Finally found a bubble tea place right downtown! This place is a little tugged away. The spot itself is a little small, but the staff there is super nice and helpful. They have a lot of different kinds of flavors, styles and bobba. I used to work at a bubble tea place myself, so like think that I know what I’m talking about. You can combine all sorts of styles and flavors and the drinks always come out good and quick. Just this week we made our first office run for bubble tea and came here. Everyone loved it! Would recommend this to anyone who loves bubble tea!

There are several options for bubble tea in the downtown area but Bobachine has to be the best, excluding international district. The Boba tastes fresh and the drinks are very tasty. There many different options for both hot and cold beverages. I think what also is amazing is the food options. I think it’s more snack or light lunch type items, but I think they are done very well especially the Viet sandwiches.
The location is pretty great too since its in the middle of Westlake and nearby to all the downtown shopping. The only problem is that seating is extremely limited there, so on a cold or rainy day, you may not have a seat. On a sunny day, you can always just take it to go or sit in the Westlake park.

Great spot to grab a cheap tasty snack. $ 2.25 tofu musubi or $ 2 veggie fresh spring rolls make a great modest lunch. I haven’t tried their tea.

The Bobachino is basically liquid sugar. I’ve never had any variation of milk tea with quite this much jelly in it. Literally (almost) every sip is jelly goodness.
The only perplexing thing about this place is its minor brand confusion. I expected a shop that specialized in boba, but instead there’s also a menu of small snacks and. coffee? Sure, I guess. I wouldn’t come here for coffee or food in particular, though. Seems like an odd choice, but if it brings in more income, power to them.
The wait per drink seems to be a few minutes. Pretty standard for almost every shop I’ve been to, and it beats the really long lines I usually see at popular spots like Oasis (as much as I do love me some Oasis). Then again, it’s 7pm on a weekday so that may explain the relatively short wait.

Meh… I had craving for boba milk tea and thought I could make it easy by getting it in downtown while running errands instead of going to International or University District. I think this is a big mistake.
I ordered the black sesame milk tea with boba $ 3.75 + $ 0.50 for boba and got a small spam musubi ($ 2.50) for lunch. The spam musubi was actually quite good, but the milk tea with boba was downright a disappointment. It tasted very dilute and super artificial that I think next time I go there, I’d probably still get spam musubi and pair it with their non-​milk tea boba drinks (maybe smoothy instead).
Overall, a convenient and affordable place to grab something quick, especially during lunch rush hours. They had some basic banh mi sandwiches, musubis and even some ramen, too (probably not the best tasting in the area), but for convenience and quick meal sake, it does its job.

Bobachine is so good. I only wish I had come here earlier. You can get a little cup of ice cream for just $ 1 if you check in. I ordered the Honeydew Milk Tea with Choobies and my sister got the Blueberry Frost. The Honeydew Milk Tea is good by itself but personally, I don’t like the Choobies because the taste that they offer feels kind of off to me. The Blueberry Frost, however, is delicious. It was more tart than I expected but the few sips that I got were really refreshing. I also tried the Green Tea ice cream as recommended by the cashier and was sweet without being over the top and I appreciated that. I just appreciate Bobachine being in Seattle.

Since its summer and been warm out, I’ve been coming here more often. I’ve noticed they worked on their customer service or at least improved, more welcoming, happy demeanor and friendlier.
As my last review mentions, I never had any issues with their boba drinks or food so that’s great that hasn’t changed.

I’ve always walked by and never noticed they were here. A little run down but clean.
The cashier was new as the mgr was behind shadowing and giving instructions.

Nice to know there’s an option downtown for bubble tea.
Unfortunately, the price was $ 5 which included a fee $.35 for using credit card under $ 10. I think I’ll go back to Chinatown.

. Went here for the first time to get some ice cream. I got a mini scoop and it was pretty big for a mini scoop. The flavor ice cream are great, but not much flavor to pick from. Overall love the place.

I work by Bobachine and was craving boba one day so I decided to try this place out. The inside has some bar seating and tables, but it’s pretty small inside so if it were to get busy a lot of people wouldn’t get to sit down inside.
I read some reviews before trying this place out and noticed a lot saying how long the wait was to get their drinks. I didn’t wait any more than I would have at a different boba shop! Maybe it was the fact that I went at a random time (around 3:30pm), but I can’t complain about the wait at all! The drink itself was just ok, the smoothie was kind of watered down. The tapioca never froze to the point where it wouldn’t fit through my straw which was nice!
I will might come back to this shop because it is near my work and it wasn’t a bad experience, but definitely wasn’t the best smoothie I’ve had!

Good milk tea and boba, but it’s pricey! $ 5 for a basic milk tea w/​boba, including a 35 cent credit card surcharge :(

Sooo glad to have discovered this place in Westlake Park! I’ve been in this area tons of times, and somehow have always walked by Bobachine with a blind eye.
Bobachine is very trendy, and you can tell right as you walk in. Not only were they blasting some Tupac hits (what other boba place have you heard that at…) and they have lots of cute hand-​written chalk menus around the entire place.
They offer banh mi sandwiches, ramen, miso, and more — so it’s more than just a bubble tea stop. I’m really interested in coming back for lunch one day.
The only reason for the 3 star rating instead of a four or five comes from two reasons: they charge more when you use a card, and the wait is ridiculous. I understand that it’s popular, but I waited about 20 minutes for ONE drink.
I ended up getting the Honey Milk Tea bobachino — soooo good. I had never tried honey milk tea before, so I’m so glad that I ventured away from my usual taro. It definitely had that classic honey taste, was the perfect level of sweet and the coconut jellies I added made it amazing.
I’ll definitely be back — hopefully I can leave a better review in the future!

This place is right in the heart of downtown and a great place to relax after shopping. There are a ton of options which can be overwhelming at first. There’s different «textures» which are basically toppings. And there are different ways you can have your bubble tea blended as well.
They also serve food here; I’ve had the spam musubi. It’s okay, they don’t have a way of heating it up so it’s cold. Have yet to try their banh mi sandwiches but I’ve heard good things.
Great service and I’ve only every had good experiences. The drink I usually get is an avocado milkshake with tapioca. The price is $ 6 which is a little too expensive for me. Definitely a good place to just get bubble tea every once in a while.

5 stars for variety, flavor, and convenience (you’d have to travel to Chinatown to find another spot).
But 15 minutes for a freakin’ smoothie? Come on now. You could probably make it to Chinatown and back with a smoothie. Oh how about the $ 6 minimum requirement to use a debit card? Where are we, in the 90’s? Get with the time folks: –4 stars

The first time I had anything from bobachine, it was a delivery from my coworker who swore that they had the best spam musubi around and brought me some to validate her point. I’m no musubi expert, but it was pretty darn good (both the regular and spicy). They also sell «double stacks» of it, too. It’s best to get there earlier rather than later, I hear they can run out.
The bubble tea is good too. The only other option in the area is the place in Westlake mall and that’s kind of laughable in terms of boba.
Their banh mi situation is a little weird. They are premade and the pork wasn’t what I was expecting.
All in all, it’s a great stop if you’re craving bubble tea or musubi and you’re in the area!
