Private instruction for beginning and intermediate students on saxophone, clarinet and flute.

Lessons are planned and paced to provide the student with just the right level and type of instruction. We hit on the basics as well as giving you the flexibility to pursue your personal interests.

The aim is to keep the study of an instrument a rewarding, enjoyable and interesting pursuit.

Brad worked with my daughter, a 2nd year alto sax player, at her middle school last semester. He worked patiently to help her learn more about music theory and build her jazz/​improv skills. His website alone provides a wealth of clear, concise knowledge and materials for students to work with. Brad is incredibly organized and provided a detailed summary after every lesson (via secure online access) with info on practice material and goals to prepare for the next lesson. Brad was always very generous with his time and even talked to my daughter on the phone to help her work through some musical problems and preparing for auditions, etc. My daughter really enjoyed the lessons, progressed quite a bit, and plans to continue with lessons in the Fall. Highly recommended!

Brad has been working with my son, a reluctant student, for several months now. I cannot recommend Brad highly enough. His patience, clarity and clear understanding of the young mind have made my son utter the words, «You know, Mom, I think I’d like to continue taking flute over the summer.» SHOCKER!
My goal is that my son learns music specifically, and it happens that the instrument through which he is learning music is the flute. Brad has been very open to my requests as the parent, and very open to letting the lesson simply be about the joy of music if that is what needs to happen that week.
Best moments, however, are when my son throws up an «I can’t» barrier and Brad calmly and quietly works him through the tough moments.
