History

Established in 2003.

Break Through Learning Center (BTLC), (formerly Break Through Parent Institute) is an affiliate of Aspasia Leadership, LLC and evolved from this fact; when parents fight in front of their children or use abusive, punitive or neglectful parenting tools, their children suffer. Their families, friends and coworkers suffer.

The belief that educating parents in human development, communication skills and dignity principles improves family relationships and lowers incidents of domestic violence was the driving force behind years of dedication to adult education. BTLC is the offshoot of the Parent Development Program at Children’s Home Society of Washington. Established in July 2003 as Break Through Parent Institute by Mollie M. Hughes, M.A., A 20-year veteran facilitator and parent educator, BTLC not only provides ongoing parent education for all parents but many other family services including parent coaching, relational coaching and supervised visitation.
