Really cute courtyard, very polite staff. The turkey sandwich was delicious. When they realized that they neither rang up or prepped my soup(I had forgotten), he came over, apologized profusely, and gave me the soup on the house. Little things like that can make me very loyal.

The concept of «food quality» is a funny thing, nowadays. Other than the bagels which are tasty the food has a homemade feel, which in my opinion is how food should taste. Great Jalepeno Bagel breakfast sandwich and Homemade Chai to start my Saturday off. Thanks, Café Argento. :)

I wish I would have taken a picture of my cheddar jalapeño breakfast sandwich, because it was that good. One of the best bagel shops in Capitol Hill as well as a delicious latte! Must come and check it out !

Inexpensive, quiet, nice staff and good wifi — what do you want else? Great place to hang out, work or just get a tea or coffee. They also feature some snacks, but I did not try them yet.

This is the neighborhood café that I’ve always dreamt of. Just picture a Seattle version of the Central Perk. You feel a such a sense of family when you walk in the door, even if it’s your first time. They also have a bunch of funky, eclectic furniture, great espresso, and yummy food. I LIVE for their breakfast sandwiches that are full of scrambled eggs and veggies. Or sometimes I just want a little treat to hold me over until my next meal, so I grab one of the freshly made samosas to go.

Really nice guy that owns the store, all I got was a bagel do this review is mainly based off the atmosphere. Small little place, good for a morning coffee and breakfast sandwich!

First time here and had a really great experience. Super cute café! It’s not too small nor too big. The owner was super nice! That jalapeño bagel though… Hellla good!!! I also had an Iced Americano. Delicious!’. Can never really go wrong with an iced Americano.

Faizel and the Team — always incredibly welcoming — serve warmth and spice along with the perfect soup, sandwich and Seattle blends. What great fortune to have this place at our doorstep!

We dropped in while waiting for a nearby business to reopen after lunch. It was our first time there and probably not our last, if we’re in the neighborhood. The young man(who was not the owner) working was extremely friendly and professional. The house made lentil soup was very hot and very good. The garlic butter on split and toasted poppy seed bagel was quite tasty. The samosa also had lentils in it, and was decent. The latte was smooth and well made, albeit without a fancy design on top. No matter. The place is unpretentious and very welcoming.

This is what you dream of in a coffee shop. Staff is friendly and helpful. As I was eating they greeted most of the people by name and knew their orders. I wish I lived here, so I could be a regular. The atmosphere is amazing and laid back, it felt like being at a friend’s house. The café latte was good, perfect for the cool spring morning. The breakfast sandwich was to die for. I got it on the cheddar jalapeño bagel and held the hot sauce, and I was in heaven. I love breakfast sandwiches and this was one of the best I have had. The olive oil makes it smooth and delicious.

Okay, I used to live in Seattle so I know for a fact that there are numerous — really killer — coffee shops in Capitol Hill. When I found myself staying in this neighborhood while I was in town for a conference, I stumbled across this place. I just wanted a coffee but when I noticed the bagels sitting in the display case, I decided to try one of the jalepeno and cheese bagels with cream cheese. Maybe I’m just severely deprived of good bakeries in Austin, but I have to say that I was floored by how tasty that bagel turned out to be. Sure, there are other pastry and coffee options here — but I was such a big fan that I came back here on a daily basis. Huge fan. Bonus: They have a great patio!

This place is amazing! We stumbled across it one morning while visiting Seattle. It’s small but cosy inside. Got the breakfast bagel with everything, was delicious, filling and reasonably priced. And the owner knew how to make a proper tea :) great service!

tl;dr: Cozy café, friendly service, great breakfast sandwhich bagel and homemade chai. After two days of playing tourist in Seattle, I decided to take an early morning walk in the brisk, clean air. As I exercised my underused writer’s legs up the slopes of Capital Hill, I started working an appetite. I’d initially wanted to track down a writing-friendly café where I could plug in my laptop and surf some free Internet for the price of a teacup. But as I was climbing Seattle’s steep streets, my stomach kindly reminded me that I had yet to line it with some of the city’s tasiest and delightfully prepared dishes. I stopped on Pine at the corner of 15th and asked my phone about nearby café and up popped Café Argento. It was real close, and a bit out of the way of commercial streets. The place is small, with a few tables of various sizes to accomodate a few groups and loners. The place is all in rich tones of wood, dark pumpkin orange and faux brick with light contrasts. I liked the place at first glance. Two guys were working the small counter. The main counter doubled as a display case full of pastries, including those fat doughnuts our sweet American neighbors like to call bagels(I’m from Montréal, ergo a bit of a bagel snob) and other delicsious looking pastries. Like all Seattle cafés, the place is equipped with a whole range of machinery to turn coffee grounds into multiple variations of caffeinated beverages. I ordered a homemade Chai and a breakfast bagel. Service was very friendly, the Wifi password was offered as soon as they saw me take my laptop out, and the whole place was floating to the sound of smooth music. It was quite a change from my usual«student/video game industry» crowd back in Montréal’s Mile End. The breakfast bagel is as good as the other reviewers have said. Satifying, tasty and filling. I had mine on a cheese bagel. The Homemade Chai was a very welcome warm treat and hit all the right notes you’d expect from the sweet version of that drink. So yeah, I’m adding this to my list of «must return».

Came here on a random Tuesday when Solstice was a bit crowded. Argento is located on the corner of the streets, in a very unassuming location. Ordered a quick cappuccino and toasted poppy seed bagel with cream cheese and garlic olive oil. It’s a fairly simple combination, but something that I had never really seen before. However, after I tried it, I was a believer. The olive oil, while a bit rich for some tastes, adds a bit more of a velvety texture when eating it, rather than just thickness of the cream cheese. I needed the wi-fi to get some work done, and since there weren’t many people around in the café, I was able to finish my work ahead of time, as there was plenty of bandwidth and not too many distractions. Pretty killer if you ask me. Service was very quick and friendly. After I sat down, a good number of customers came in for their morning coffees, and the barista knew pretty much everyone’s names. Definitely seems like your typical neighborhood coffee joint, and it felt comfortable being there, even though I was a clear outsider. Definitely a good coffee place in the Capitol Hill area.

I had an Americano and a breakfast bagel with everything. The bagel was very tasty. It had garlic olive oil, cheddar cheese, red peppers, zucchini, cream cheese, scrambled egg and hot sauce. So good. The two men working there were both friendly and helpful. Argento is a sunny, open café and has wifi. My coffee was excellent too. I’m glad I stumbled into this quiet, sunny café.
