Mario made me a delightful latte this morning. Didn’t understand half of what he said. Just say, «yes». Turned out perfecto. The buttermilk biscuit with jam was also a tasty treat. Great way to start my day in the dark, gloomy Seattle.

If you are looking for pastry GOEARLY! I haven’t been able to try any yet as they were out of my favorite types, will have to do that on a return visit. Being out is a good sign. :) Atmosphere/Service 4⁄5: like many cafes in Europe. Bistro tables, heavy ceramic ware, Italian sensibility. I didn’t have much interaction with staff, but they were friendly and efficient. Coffee 4⁄5: Great for here coffee cups and very tasty. Will have to return to try more variety.

The vanilla latte was very good, and the Caffè Senso Unico hand painted mugs are a nice touch. The asparagus goat cheese quiche was excellent, and the raspberry croissant was very good too.

My morning stop for coffee before heading into work. Great espresso and personable staff. The croissants are flaky and the sandwiches taste just like the ones I would pick up from a stand in Italy. I recommend the prosciutto, arugula and mozzarella sandwich and the Nuttellina Latte.

Oh Doppio, oh doppio, where art thou my doppio? I got the doppio con panna and it was delicious. On my short stop to Seattle I managed to try 5 coffee places and this place was one of my favs. I love their colorful plates and cups… and that ham and cheese… drool. Is it weird that I still think about this cute little place with their cute little cups and my delicious doppio?

Great coffee and pastries. Croissants and biscuit are delicious. Squash bread is soft and satisfying.

My first time stopping in and, since it’s near my office, I wanted so much to like it. But, it would have been impossible for the guy pouring my espresso to care less about it. He dumped both the shot and the steamed milk into the cup as if out of spite. My latte wasn’t hot and it wasn’t at all good. With places like Vivace in town, you need to care. I will not be back.

Busy, buzzing dinky coffee shop north of Belltown. Clearly popular; service was very friendly, efficient and fast. Glad to have an alternative to SB(which seems to be every 50 yards). Café Senso Unico offers great, strong, non-bitter brews of all sorts(I highly recommend a triple shot whole milk latte).

Great tasting coffee. I always order a mocha. Their chocolate is bittersweet, so be prepared to add sugar. I wish I could try their food, but I’m gluten intolerant, so there isn’t much to choose from if you can’t eat wheat. But the food looks delicious. The décor is European cool and the baristas and owner are always friendly. Busy place. I do wish it were a little less loud. It’s hard to hear your friend talking when they are busy.

Love the coffee here! Ever since I came back from Spain i’ve been obsessed with finding the perfect ‘café con leche’ Café Senso definitely gives me that fix :). I love their short lattes, the coffee is delicious. Way better than Starbucks. not to mention less expensive ;). My other favorite things at this café are the savory scones and croissants they have. They have great caprese and sandwiches for lunch as well.

On our trip to Seattle, my husband and I stop by this quaint café. The owner spoke Italian and schooled us on the different levels and types of espresso. I went with the doppio and was not let down. I honestly think this is the best coffee in Seattle! On return trips to Seattle, I will make it a point to stop by all the time!

What a perfect way to start your morning. The perfect Italian Americano never needs milk or creamer and you ca definitely find that here.(I’ve been to Rome, I can speak from experience!)

The best coffee in Seattle, probably because the owner is Italian! The croissants and paninis are great too. It’s kind of too good to be true, you usually get one or the other! Indoor seating, a few tables for 2 outside. They take US dollars, of course, but also euros Like any«best of the best» place, an unfortunate line can form out into the street — plan accordingly!

Great cappuccino, good croissant Came in here before work to sit for awhile and read the paper before work. Great atmosphere inside the shop, although not a lot of seating and the tables are pretty small. Owner and baristas are pretty friendly if you talk to them. Baristas seemed to remember the drink orders of most of the regulars, and there seemed to be a steady stream of people in line for the thirty minutes that I was there.

OHMAN. This place is awesome. The owner/barista is super friendly and chats it up with everyone. Its very obvious he knows and has good rapport with returning customers. I grabbed an expresso and tried the quiche, based on a Unilocalers recommendation. So glad I did. That quiche is amazing. I was tempted to buy the whole pie. If you’re looking for a good coffee and a delicious bite, look no further!

3.5STARS * CAFESENSOUNICO($ 2.45) — 4.5STARS Café Senso is unique in their specialty house offerings which include a mocha made with dark chocolate powder and espresso and whipped cream. I like how strong they brew their coffee and how quick and efficient they are! It’s significancy better when ordering in vs to go. Would only be better if they used home made whipped cream. I’ve long graduated from store bought varieties. * CAPPUCCINO($ 2.50) — 3.5STARS The cappuccino is nice as well, nice and strong extra short almost like a macchiato. * SHAKERATO($ 3.35) — 3STARS: Prefer the version of this with sweet milk at Cherry Street. * HAMANDCHEESECROISSANT — 4STARS The pastry case included a few sweet and savory things which didn’t look very appetizing. The ham and cheese is surprisingly delicious flaky and buttery if you have time to let them toast it on the panini it’s definitely worth getting. They also have a turkey cheddar, almond, and raspberry croissant. 90 cents for their individual chocolates also seemed unnecessarily steep.

Nice little coffee shop. Lots of macrina bakery pastries. Good panini options for lunch. Coffee is foamy. Good quick service if you’re on the go. Friendly staff. Street parking

They have wonderful coffee, but I think my favorite thing about Senso Unico is how they don’t ask me how I am or how my day is going(the typical meaningless American salesperson questions)…they just ask me what I want and then prepare it. I also love how they slam your change down on the counter rather than handing it to you. Makes me feel like I’m back in Italy in the best possible way.

I am easily swayed by pretty packaging and aesthetics. I honestly saw a picture of the mugs at this café and knew I had to stop by. The mugs are pieces of art themselves, but so is the décor! I think the owner must really miss Italy, because you can see the influence in all facets of this place. Whenever I visit, I try to sit for a few extra minutes to enjoy the ambiance. Plus, their to-go cups absolutely pale in comparison to those mugs. Coffee. The Americano here is excellent. I am so happy to find another place in Seattle that doesn’t sell bitter coffee. Also, they have hemp milk, which is a plus ten in my book. As far as food, they make a mean panini. Is this what Italy is like?! Someone tell me. Anyway, any of the paninis are good and well worth the price(~$ 8). The bread isn’t smothered in butter either. I would also try their croissants(if you’re there in the morning). They sell out most days. The almond croissant has a nice filling, although I wish there was a bit more of it, it can get a bit dry! Service. The owner is a cute Italian man that speaks to you in bits of Italian. Does it get any better than that?
