Description

Specialties

Cannon EyeCare is run by two eye doctors: Drs. Mark & Miranda Cannon. During our eye examinations, we focus on giving our patients the ability to see everything they need to see clearly and comfortably, but we do so much more than just eye exams for glasses and contact lenses. The next time your eyes are bothering you or your vision seems a little blurry, come see us and we will make things right.

History

Established in 2015.

Market Optical has had an office in University Village, Seattle since 2002. Dr. Mark & Miranda Cannon earned their doctorates in optometry from Indiana University’s School of Optometry in 2010 and have worked in the Seattle Metro ever since. Late in 2014 they jumped at the chance to buy the eye clinic inside Market Optical. The optometry practice is still a separate business from the prescription glasses business.

Doctors Mark and Miranda will be giving great eye exams in this location for decades to come, and are accepting new patients! In addition to routine eye exams, they can manage your dry eye, glaucoma, allergies or eye infection. While the practice is not a pediatric specialty practice, these doctors love kids and are happy to work with children who can sit in a chair, reliably respond to questions and read letters… which is typically about age 5 or 6. Insurances accepted: Premera, Regence, HMA, Bridgespan, Lifewise, Group Health PPO.

Meet the Manager

Dr. Mark C.

Manager

Dr. Mark J. Cannon did his undergraduate studies at Indiana University. He received his Doctorate in Optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry, where he earned the Dean’s Scholar award. He also did ophthalmic research with a pediatric population during optometry school. He then completed several external rotations focused on ocular disease, contact lens fitting, and pediatrics. He also worked for an ophthalmologist as the staff optometrist in a busy medical ophthalmology clinic for over a year. Dr. Cannon has volunteered his time on two trips to Mexico, giving eye examinations to underserved populations. As a perk, he learned optometric Spanish on these optometry mission trips.

In his free time Dr. Cannon enjoys outdoor adventures with his wife and business partner Dr. Miranda Cannon and their daughter.
