Fantastic guys. Thank you to Blake, Ian, and Travis for thinking quickly! Some jerks stole my bassist’s gear out of his car. Within 4 hours of posting ads around craigslist and facebook Blake messages me that he is pretty sure he has the gear. Sure enough, it was all there! Even some things we didn’t know had been stolen.
They told me they were all musicians, had all had gear stolen and knew how much it sucked. Great guys you can trust!

My guitar got stollen from my home on Capitol Hill earlier this summer. Called Capitol Loans and left a description. They called me back the next day after recovering it from a homeless guy who had just brought it in. They knew it was stolen and got it back for me. I had it back in under 24 hours, no hassles. I really appreciate this! Very ethical and compassionate. An instrument is part of your soul.

These guys are awesome! I was in a pinch for rent and Craigslist was hell to deal with for selling my bicycle. Multiple people said to try these guys. They gave me a very generous loan on my bicycle and their rates are fair as can be. Thanks guys!

I do my ffl transfer here from time to time. Overall I’ve had good experiences. Staff does seem a little world-​weary but that’s to be expected give the neighborhood.

You wanna know how long something is? These guys will measure it with a friggin’ laser beam. I’m talking precision pawning folks. Super nice fellas, gave me a great deal on a nice piece of audio gear. Impressive selection of guitars, macbooks, mixing and sound gear. Capitol Hill is full of rockers that skate by on rent, driven up by the Amazon intruders. This is where you get their goods! The rent is too damn high!

I have used these guys a couple times for FFL transfers. They are always polite, certainly priced right. They give FFL’s a good name! Would use them again and would recommend them without reservation.

Oh my gosh the nicest men. They fixed my watch for free and taught me what a pawn shop was and I got drumsticks. Hooray!

The guys at this pawn shop are simply AWESOME! Honest, patient, and EXTREMELY Helpfull. Great Stuff inside! I do a lot of FFL transfers and this is the best place to do it, best price and friendliest staff. I used to live up the street and found the place walking by and saw all the amazing guitars they have. I was bummed when I moved north, however, I still make the 30 min drive to do all my transfers there because I like giving them business. THANKS CAPITOL LOANS!

I was looking for a TV this past week. I searched all over Seattle, including other pawn shops, Target and Radioshack, as well as eBay, Amazon, etc. These guys were able to give me the best deal. The gentlemen working there are very nice and helpful. Good selection of gently used electronics and instruments. Their videogame selection isn’t bad either.

They treat me right, and I’ll use them again for FFL transfer. Very pleased with their service. Don’t filter me out! I’m an actual customer!

I used them for an FFL transfer and they couldn’t have been more helpful. When my NICS got delayed they offered to stay past closing to try and help me get my rifle. Also they are the cheapest in Seattle for an FFL transfer at 25.00.Good people.

I have to admit, I have never bought or sold here. I *have* however, come in many times to window shop. It’s the only pawn shop that is anywhere near my usual haunts, and I love the wild and crazy stuff that sometimes shows up in pawn shops. From dreaming about the bass guitar in the window to checking out everything behind the counter, I’ve whiled away many a several-​minutes-​while-​waiting-​for-​something else here.

I bought a small Vox guitar amp from this place. They let me test it out and ensure it worked with one of their guitars and cables in store, and it worked fine. I buy it, walk up the hill to my place, plug it in, and it fails to turn on. I of course try every plug in the house with various switches turned on before determining that this thing is really broke. I call them back at the number I got from this site, and he says to just bring it back and we’ll trouble shoot it there. I lug it back down and we both come to the conclusion that yep, it’s broken. Rather than screw me over and say tough luck, all sales are final, he lets me choose a comparable one (in price and function) from his other amps, and I wound up getting a larger Marshall that works just fine. For outstanding courtesy both over the phone and in store, along with good pricing and an instrument/​music selection you can’t complain about, I think this place merits five stars. I’d definitely shop there again.

I usually dont frequent pawn shops but having just moved to Seattle and in need of a bike I checked this place out. Great prices on pretty much everything you can imagine and really friendly staff. I will recommend them to anyone

Ok, so there are now two of us who review pawn shops. Or rather, pawn shop, since my experience yesterday with Moe and crew was my first actual pawn shop exchange.
I’m in a cleaning out mood this week and have been trying to purge my life of excess stuff. I had a bunch of old jewelry — broken gold chains from high school in the 80s, a ring from a relationship that didn’t last like the eternal circle that symbolized it, etc.
I took it to Capitol Hill Loans and got $ 120 for it. I didn’t comparison shop on pricing, but this was more than I was expecting, so I was happy. The exchange was professional — Moe got out a little tester kit to make sure it was real gold, he sorted and weighed it in front of me, and he entered all info (drivers license and SSN) into their computer system — a precaution to make sure you’re not pawning stolen stuff, etc.
There was a steady flow of folks in and out — definitely seem to be some regulars, but not the Unilocaling type, I guess. Good people watching. Something about selling or getting loans off your stuff brings out stories. One guy was hocking DVDs for gas to see his mom before she moved out of state. Another guy was buying equipment for a movie shoot — and it so happened that Moe’s strikingly beautiful assistant has a movie script in her head. By the time my paperwork came through they had decided it was fate that they had met there that day.
I ended up waiting a bit due to the congestion in the store. Moe apologized and let me choose a pair of free DVDs for my trouble. Excellent service, I’ll be back if I have the opportunity.

OK, so who writes a review on a pawn shop? I do apparently. I love Capitol loans, I love that big guy Moe and the other guys. I bought a type writer there once before I had money for a computer and did my term papers on it. We bought gameboy games there and who knows what else. I like this place, I hope nothing I bought was stolen but I’m sure it wasn’t. I only took a star off because it is after all a pawn shop (but a very nice pawn shop).
