DELICIOUS carrot cake. Does not get any better than this! I needed a cake for a coworker’s birthday. Within a few days of notice, Mike delivered the cake right to our downtown office. He was very friendly and I could tell that this is his passion! Thank you, Mike, for making the best carrot cake ever :)
PS: The cream cheese frosting was AMAZING.

I needed a carrot cake for my Dad’s 70^th birthday… it is his favorite. So I went to Unilocal of course. Everyone raved about Mike’s cake. It was awesome! Even better than the cake was Mike’s service. I ordered over email and he agreed that he would arrange delivery with the hotel where we were having the party. I got an email back that it was all set, I got another when it arrived and when I walked in to the hotel they knew exactly what I had ordered. It could not have been easier or yummier. I had Mike’s carrot cake at a wedding last week, and it was scrumptious. I recommend the lemon frosting, although others who had the original and the orange seemed to enjoy theirs as well. Those cakes disappeared in a flash. (I hope the bride and groom got some to save for their anniversary.) Highly recommended.

Mike provided a cutting cake and three sheet cakes (original, orange spice and lemon frostings) for our wedding. From the first email inquiry to a phone consultation to cake delivery to post-​event, Mike was a joy to work with and the cake is truly in a league of its own. Most importantly: he was willing to experiment with a dairy-​free frosting for my dairy-​allergic husband, and the vegan cake was indistinguishable in flavor (though a bit different in texture) from the full-​on traditional frosting. We’ll be eating more of this cake on our anniversary and hopefully every anniversary. Highest recommendations.

Fantastic cake, and great service. Found out about this great cake service on a Friday and had a cake delivered Saturday morning in time for my husband’s bday party later that day. Great cake by Mike, who’s super nice and was great about the delivery details.

I got a Carrot Cake by Mike as a part of a retirement send-​off, and WOW! The committee raved about it! Mike is great to work with — very responsive and helpful. I went traditional on the options, with walnuts added to the batter and the plain cream cheese frosting, and there were no complaints (and only a few crumbs left). If it was for my family or friends, I would have tried one of the more exotic frosting flavors he offers (I bet the orange spice frosting is a great match with the spices in the cake).

I don’t like cake, so over the years I have developed the tradition of birthday carrot cakes. My boyfriend surprised me this year with a Carrot Cake by Mike and we were both blown away at how great it was. This was a perfect birthday and an incredibly thoughtful gift and I couldn’t be happier.

I’ve ordered several cakes from Mike. They’ve all been of outstanding quality and the hit of the party. Plus Mike is super nice and goes out of his way to make sure his customers are well taken care of. I also recommend getting the lemon frosting — not too strong, just right.

Everything about this experience was wonderful and professional. I ordered a surprise birthday cake for my sister since I could not be there for her birthday. Mike responded ASAP to all my emails and answered all my questions. It was very easy to work with him, from ordering to scheduling a delivery date (a Sunday afternoon at a specific time, nonetheless) to paying. Would highly recommend.

Awesome cake and Mike is a very gracious gentleman. He provided the wedding cake for my brother’s small-​by-​design wedding yesterday and even those that aren’t big fans of carrot cake loved it. Be sure to get raisins in the batter if that is your thing, and swap out the traditional cream chees frosting for his pineapple cream cheese frosting which is even more delicious than the norm!

Hands down the best carrot cake in Seattle! Don’t bother going anywhere else –pick up the phone or order online from Mike. His service is excellent and consistent. Ordered on a Friday night and he delivered on a Sunday morning. Yes, Sunday morning! His single layer 9″ carrot cake with nuts and traditional frosting = yummy goodness. Moist, tasty and the frosting was just perfect. Mike is definitely the go-​to man to satisfy gluttonous carrot cake cravings.

I found out about carrot cake by mike via Unilocal.I was planning on throwing a suprise party for my friend who loves carrot cake, and wanted to get something better than what I could get at QFC. I am so glad I came to Mike. He was so sweet and made one of the best carrot cakes I have ever had. I am also not a fan of cream cheese frosting but I loved his! I definitely recommend getting the nuts and raisins in the batter. Adds a little something! I will definitely be coming to Mike again for all my carrot cake needs.

Waking up at the crack of dawn was all worth it — trust me. The carrot cake talk is real.
I was pleased by the elegant simplicity of the cake when I received it. Encompassing the cake was a smooth, supple cream cheese frosting. None of the sugary grittiness. Concerned for to retain its moisture, I stored the cake in the fridge for about 12 hours while we pranced throughout the day. Once it was ready to be devoured, we ninja sliced it into eight hearty pieces. After the first bite I must say the cake was incredibly pleasant, flavorful and yummy with just the right amount of spice. I think my biggest discrepancy with most cakes it that it is too sweet — this cake definitely has the right balance of sweet meeting savoriness of what the carrot brings to create an overall unique flavor.
Contacting Mike was also a piece of cake (pun intended). He was very quick to reply and patient with my party planning. His menu is clear and concise with plenty of choices to accommodate the carrot cake party of your dreams. The variations of frosting was also very impressive. I am curious to try all the frostings in the future. I ordered an eight inch round cake for a group of eight, and each of them have stated that, «it was the best cake I have ever had». Filled and satisfied, it was a happy ending to our at home Korean BBQ for my boyfriend’s birthday.

All around wonderful experience. A friend of mine was celebrating her birthday and requested a carrot cake for the celebration. Searching Unilocal I came across Carrot Cake by Mike. The website he has up and the telephone conversation made the ordering process easy.
I placed my order about 2 weeks out from the night of the party. Mike delivered the cake himself on the date and time requested. He is a great guy who takes pride in his work, he is right to do so.
The 2 layer, orange spice frosting cake was a hit. Everyone, including myself enjoyed it very much. I set out Mike’s business card next to the serving area. People were able to use the QR scanners on their phones to link to the website.
