Wow! Went here looking for Cioccolata Calda. Didn’t find what I enjoyed while living in Italy. However, have never had what taste like a cup of melted dark chocolate to drink. This was a wonderful surprise. Cup was too rich to finish in an 8oz. cup. Thanks for this locally owned and run option publicly available. The owner clearly cares and knows his clientele.

The regular hot chocolate was flame, service was friendly and prompt. What more could you want from a drink stand in a library?

There’s really nothing bad to say so I’m giving it five stars. Quiet and cute little space and I love my 12 oz coffee with an added shot and a pump of almond syrup. Yum. Until next time, when I won’t forget to try the cream cheese brownies!

I forgot to mention that Chocolati makes awesome favors for weddings! I was in a wedding and they use elements of Chocolati in their wedding! For the bridesmaids gifts, the bride had customized chocolate dipped fortune cookies that had quirky and funny sayings in them. Not only were they super cute but they were yummy! For the wedding itself, they had an entire bar set up of different chocolate truffles and candy from Chocolati! Seriously the best candy bar I’ve seen to date. They also made these chocolate trees/bushes that the wedding party could take home! I’ll post a picture of these elements! They also had their wedding rehearsal at Chocolati. We were able to eat a lot of candy and try their delicious drinks before the wedding. Even if you’re not getting married, you should pop by one of their stores for some tasty drinks and chocolates. Now that I’m planning my own wedding, I immediately thought of Chocolati for my own wedding favors and dessert bar. They ship outside of Seattle, too! I highly recommend them! Love the owners — they are the best!

I’ve got a soft spot in my heart for this company. I tried their hot chocolate mix at REI and fell in love with it. I ended up contacting the owner and asked him for five cans before I left Seattle for California. He went out of his way to make me a special blend and came in on his day off to deliver them. Don’t miss this place or I’ll lose all respect for you!

Best hot chocolate I’ve ever had. Ever. Their house hot chocolate was like drinking a chocolate bar — it was that rich! Same reason why for first timers 8oz is a good starter. Verdict: If you’re looking for something to make exploring one of Seattle’s coolest places(the central library) great then look no further: chocolati café’s where it’s at.

My god. This will probably be the best hot chocolate you’ve ever tasted. I was literally saying«mmmmm» with every sip. The location is decent, just on the left, inside the 5th avenue entrance. The employees have always been really nice & personable, and everything I’ve tried has been amazing. It’s really a great treat as you peruse your way through the library. I wish I could give more feedback about the food options. Their chocolates are just too expensive for me to justify in my head. I’m not gonna pay nearly $ 2 for a piece of chocolate. Sorry. Their drinks are well priced though, so I’ll stick to those. Their actual store location is in Wallingford, and it is equally delicious. So, in summary, grab a quick drink. You won’t regret it — especially the hot chocolate.

Love it! This is my usual day-off treat: one chocolate and an americano. Thanks Chocolati!

Located inside the Seattle Public Library central/downtown location, on 3rd floor, closest to the 5th Ave entrance. The coffee is good, especially the mocha. Get it with lid, and you can enjoy the beverage in the library. There are a few seats, but the tables aren’t big. But then, there’s the rest of the library to hang out at. It’s not a full scale location such as the Greenwood location, but they do have many of the signature items.

Yum!!! This is definitely one of my guilty pleasures! Their hot chocolate is rich, smooth and has an intense chocolate flavor! If you love chocolate as much as I do, this place is for you!!! I try not to frequent this place too often because it’s incredibly addicting and I come back to my office with a drink in one hand and a bag of assorted chocolates in the other. I highly recommend their turtle hot chocolate– it’s mixed with caramel and hazelnut. I’ve also had the house & salted caramel one which are both great in their own ways. They have mixes you can buy and make hot chocolate at home. I’ve sent some to my relatives for Christmas and they all rave about it! The people that work there are very very nice! If you tell them you work nearby you get a 10% discount! Oh and there’s a stamp card for truffles and drinks! You will never order hot chocolate from Starbucks again.

Yum. Awesome variety of hot chocolate, super friendly staff. The first time I went, they gave us all a free sample truffle as a welcoming gift. SODELICIOUS.

It’s a great place. At least the times I’ve gone, whoever is behind the counter has always been super friendly and efficient. The truffles are great tasting. One word of warning of the drinking chocolate — it tastes great but be prepared to throw most of it away unless having 8oz of pure sugar does nothing to your system. o. O

I often go to this location on the weekends even though I work a few blocks away during the week. It shames me to say that often what stops me from going to this location is the fact that it is uphill from my office. Yes, I’m a lazy ass. The kiosk is located at the 5th Avenue entrance. As you walk in, it’s on the left and an area is blocked off around it. There are a handful of tables(6) and a simple sign asks folks to stay no longer than 20 minutes(good luck with that). Candy! Sorry, I got excited because I rarely eat candy anymore. The salted caramels are very good — I’m a sucker for those. You can buy chocolates individually or by tiny boxes. The hot chocolate is rich and sweet. It’s definitely not something I want to have on a daily basis but it makes a nice treat. The coffee is great as well but I must admit, when I drink coffee there, I always have a drink with chocolate. TIP: Even if you don’t go to Chocolati, this is the one area in the Library where you’re authorized to eat. You can bring your own food into the area.

The hot chocolate here willl haunt my dreams. It is THAT good. Since being pregnant, I can’t stand the smell of coffee but needed a hot drink to warm me up while we in Seattle in December. This place is it! I was skeptical since it was in the middle of the public library, but it was so worth it. The baristas are nice and the hot chocolate was delicious, real hot chocolate — none of that powder stuff you get at chain coffee shops.

The mochas and hot chocolate are delicious if not a little sickeningly sweet. The staff however, is usually very blasé and somewhat prone to getting things in my order wrong. Still if you want a treat, not a bad choice.

I love this place and so does my girlfriend. They have the old classic chocolates and truffles, plus they have very inventive, modern chocolates that will make your mouth water. Not only do they have great chocolate but they have coffee and hot chocolate so on a rainy night when you have a sweet tooth go here and grab a nice hot beverage with a couple chocolates and enjoy the rain from the inside, make the rain jealous of you!!!

Located on 3rd floor of Seattle Public Library, Chocolati Café is a really sweet spot to have a hot chocolate and relax. My boyfriend got a hot chocolate, and it was super good. I got an Earl Grey tea with a splash of milk and the gruyère and spinach quiche. There isn’t a huge selection of food items — a small selection of savory items(sandwiches, quiches, and chips) and pastries and chocolates. However, the quiche I ate was very good — tasty, hearty, though a bit greasy. It was reheated for about 5 – 7 minutes. The server sweetly gave us a few chocolates while we waited for it to heat up. Service is helpful and kind. Beautiful view of the fantastic library while you eat.

Wow. i am so impressed. def. the best little café shop/cart in any library that I’ve ever been to. The customer service is pretty good & I was really happy with my lightly sweetened darth vadar hot chocolate. i like how there’s always chocolate fingerprints on my cup(just shows how they always use real chocolate to make your drinks!) so tasty. so heartwarming. so perfect to enjoy while reading a newspaper & hiding from the cold storm outside.
