History

Established in 1977.

Founded and still operated by Scott Anderson and Tim Ryan. Originally opened on Northlake Way, North Lake Union. Moved in August 2011 from the Locks location to a larger, better facility in Ballard. All new storm water filtration system installed.

Totally disappointing firm: returned yacht without power cord so no lights, no heat. Then had the expense of replacement. Watch out Lake Union customers: ur stuff may be their stock.

I used to use this yard all the time for my Searay when Seaview was there. CSR took over and their policy now is and I quote the arrogant guy «Unless we have a substantial stake in the work on your boat we won’t haul it out!». That means if you don’t use their crap mechanics or you are a DIY boater forget going here.
Go to Canal Boat Yard, they actually want your business …

Bummed. We bought a 2009 Beneteau 40 in pristine condition. Sadly, our electrician says CSR totally shanked the install of the bow thruster. We were planning to have them do our haul out for a bunch of maintenance but will find someone else now.

I took my 2001 Chaparral in to have the out drive sanded and repainted as it had some serious corrosion issues. Not only was the work done in the spring during their busiest season, it was completed prior to the promised finished date. All the work was beyond and above what we had discussed. I went and picked up my boat after hours and dropped a check off for the original estimate. At this point, I was very happy with the entire process. But… then CSR sent a check a week after I picked up my boat for an overpayment for the services rendered. It is extremely rare to find a business that operates with this amount of honesty and quality of workmanship. Highly highly recommend.

Update
I have gone through two warranty cycles with CSR now. They continue to impress me. The quality and focus are still up to scratch with my original review of this business. Further, I feel that they are very keen on building our relationship. I often email over random questions to the project manager and he is all over it. I am an extremely satisfied customer.

Had CSR epoxy bottom coat & spray Baltoplate on my Ultimat 20. They did an outstanding job — smooth finish, no over spray and came in on estimate. They removed the keel and sealed/​painted to the top of the keel — so inside the keel trunk was protected.
And they got me back in the water in time for the next regatta!
