Not just a Smoothie Shop. We specialize in unique diet freindly items like Powdered Peanut Butter (PB2), Diet Ice-​Cream with 35 Calories per servings by Arctic Zero, low sugar protein bars, All Natural Adult Gummy Vitamins and Sugar Free Cheesecakes.

We offer a full line of name brand suppliments and vitamins are competitive prices. Locally owned and operated, not a franchise.

History

Established in 2006.

Custom Smoothie was founded by identical twins sisters with very different fitness goals. Kathy loves running and enjoying a yoga practice and Kris is a Figure competitor and personal trainer. Both women are health-​concious and very competitive, with different fitness levels, lifestyles and nutritinal needs.

Our Downtown shop is the second Custom Smoothie opened in 2008.

I was looking for a place close by to work to get protein shakes. I’m never going to make them at home. I’m just not that person. I always get the Lean and Mean with chocolate (no additional boosters) and it’s delicious. Keeps me full for about 5 hours. The ladies that work there in the morning, they’re twins, are incredibly knowledgable, friendly, and funny. Thanks for the great products and service every weekday morning!

omfgggggg i’m so fucking happy i’ve discovered this place! how did i not? this place was just across the street from me!
as soon i walked up in here, the staff greeted me right away. very friendly and welcoming. i had to hang around for awhile to figure out what i wanted. the chick helped me break it down to my decision. ended getting the island breeze and that shit is delicious! this is definitely gonna be my new favorite spot especially since its like 60 seconds away from me. =D
i loved how the girl was schooling about the products they had, she assumed i was pretty active and well damn, she was right! haha. i told her i run and work out and so she gladly schooled me on products that i should get on with. I will be coming back more often, can’t wait!

Went to the downtown location today, and met the nicest girl there! Coincident her name was Kris too? Smoothie was delish– tried the lean and mean lite today and Kris helped me get some protein, the same as what they use in there smoothies too. I will keep coming back. She was knowledgeable about the products and made me a great smoothie. I can’t wait to go there again.

Been there a couple times. First time was fine and the almond butter banana smoothie was delicious. Second time, the service was terrible and on top of that the smoothie was watery and subpar. I walked in and the clerk didn’t even bother to look up from her book to acknowledge my presence. Strike one. As I looked over the menu she kept looking up expectantly. To ease the tension I expressed that they all looked so good I didn’t know which to choose. She barely managed a condescending smile. Strike two. Finally as she rang me up I was looking at the protein bars. I crouched down at which point she walked over and asked in a snappy tone if I needed assistance with anything else. I’ll just go, I figured. I said thanks after paying and she curtly (and suddenly all-​too-​cheerfully) chirped «bye, now», as if swatting away a pesky mosquito. Crappy service? Whatever. Crappy $ 9 smoothie? Not cool.

I decided to replace lunch with a smoothie on most days and, so far, the weight keeps dropping off!
I highly recommend the Lean & Mean Light. (I prefer vanilla!)

I can’t speak for the smoothies, but they carry some very difficult to find health food products here! Never before have I seen any place carry the Chatilah’s Bakery items (sugar free bakery) except online. This is a smoothie place, but they also have quest bars, chocolites, and a couple protein powders. This location didn’t carry the Kay’s Naturals brand, but the other did.
The employee here was super chatty and helpful.
Just a note that the locations vary slightly in the items they carry.
I would like to try the smoothies, but this four star review is based on the fact that they carry difficult to find items. I love trying new health food products!!! Yay for innovative eating omnomnom!

Yum! I just got my first smoothie here this morning. I forget the name… cherry something. I missed out on breakfast this morning due to waking up late and this really got me back on track. Super tasty. Unlike other reviewers, I didn’t find anyone there to be pushy at all. Good experience! I will be back.

I’ve enjoyed all the smoothies I’ve gotten here from the very breakfast-​y Smart Start with oatmeal banana and cinnamon, to the great pick me up of the Blackberry Chai, great smoothies and lots of choices on proteins, whey, soy, and other alternatives that are completely dairy and soy free. Lots of supplements and interesting highprotein snacks like a damn good whoopee pie full of protein with little fat and calories, cheese puffs, bars, snacks of all kinds.
I do, however agree with most of the reviews here that they are BIG on the upsell which can be unpleasant.
As far as the homeless person outside. Um… it’s downtown Seattle.

If you’re looking for a cheap smoothie place where you can also get tons of attitude from the owners if you don’t choose to buy their ‘boosters’, than this place is for you. This place has everything: supplements, disparaging opinions on health and fitness, a sour countenance, and a homeless guy sleeping outside that looks like Oprah Winfrey.
Every time I leave, I find myself only able to glower at strangers for 27 minutes because of the unpleasant human interaction that I just experienced. But hey, cheap smoothies!

Terrible service, subpar smoothies. If you want to be highly pressured to buy supplements and get strong personal opinions about your health philosophy this place is right on track. Major attitude from the owner for not knowing what’s available on their giant board of options. I’ll never, EVER go there again.

Smoothies aren’t made consistently well amongst employees. I’ve had some way too thin and then some way too thick. They are also pretty unpleasant with their up selling techniques.

Love this place. I’ve been here at least half a dozen times (as it is just a few doors down from my office) and have never been disappointed. I have a morning smoothie in place of breakfast and it is a great start to my morning.
Customer service varies depending on who is working, but the blond lady (one of the owners, sorry I forgot your name!) is pretty chill. They are a sports/​health type of smoothie place, so they sell a bunch of multivitamins and boosters and such, but they don’t go overboard with the upselling. Also you can add ice cream into your healthy smoothies if you like. And each of the smoothies has a breakdown of the calories and protein and such, so you know just what you’re getting.
The smoothies ($ 5) themselves are pretty awesome not too sweet but they do taste scrumptious and fruity. I’ve tried basically anything tropical-​esque on the menu — including the Power Pom, Island Passion, Pina Colada — with added boosters ($ 1+) like protein, fiber, B12, etc. They even have a «hangover booster»! lol.
Today I ordered the Acai Split, which is now my new favorite. So I decided to write a review :)

I grab a smoothie here at least 3 times a week. After a workout, there is nothing better than the blueberry blast. Also good (I’m into fruit smoothies, not so much protein shakes) is their version with a bit of spinach in it. I was skeptical of that one, but it’s delightful.
Better still is the little touches. For example, they sell nutritional supplements (like all the other stores). As a nice service, they allowed me to buy a supplement in bulk size and store it in their fridge so that its ready for me each time I go in. Granted, they probably could have made more money by having me pay for the add-​in each time, but by letting me do this, they get back loyalty in return.
I would say that the focus is on the nutrition side, but I still find their smoothies delicious and full of flavor.

At the time of this review, the photos appear to be for the old location. The new location is across the street, where mobatta crepes used to be. I’m glad they are still downtown over here for my healthy smoothie fix. The ladies during the early day are friendly and nice. The gal in the afternoon tends to be preoccupied on her phone but seems to be nice once you have her attention. I usually get the Banana Nut with soy, almond or rice milk and extra wheat germ — YUM. They keep your name in the computer as your «electronic punch card».

I went there for my third time today and I’m still not impressed. They are not the best smoothies I’ve had… not even close. They taste chalky and have very little flavor.
They also have a computer system that acts as a punch card. I guess you are supposed to let them know you have a card in there before they ring you up because if you don’t, well sorry, you don’t get your punch as there is no way to go back in the system, and they can’t give you two the next time because it will only allow one at a time. Don’t waste your time. There is a great joint RIGHT around the corner called Cocoa Banana, they also have smoothies and they are AMAZING (Better service and better product)!

This by far is the best smoothie joint hands down! The staff is knowledgable, friendly and always helpful! I come here at least 2x a week and gave never had a less than perfect experience. Chris the gal that works in the morning is so helpful and sweet! She has never steered me wrong! They have a vast selection of wonderful tasty smoothies and there is never a long wait. It’s next to xplore fitness and it’s entrance is seperate. Highly recommend this place!
