History

Established in 1990.

Cyclops replaced the Free Mars/Café Mars Café in the spring of 1990. It was housed in the now defunct Jello Mold building the home of the artist cooperative SCUD. The building was torn down for «progress» in 1997 and we were forced to relocate. Fortunately, we landed one block up the hill on First Ave.

Cyclops was a popular hangout for artists and musicians in the 90s many of whom shaped the Seattle music and art scene.
