Darlene was an absolute dream to work with. I can’t say enough about her professionalism, knowledge and genuine care and concern she shows for her clients.
I was a first time home buyer and very nervous about the idea of purchasing my own home. Darlene was extremely patient and listened to what I was looking for. She has a great eye for spacing and design ideas, and I think having someone that can see the potential in a space and articulate what it could look like is fantastic.
There were many places that we looked at — that I thought were great, but she could see potential issues that weren’t visible to the untrained eye. This was especially true with properties that had water damage, (which is a lot more common than you would think for this area). Not only would she guide me and let me know the positives and negatives with owning a home that may have potential issues, but she also spent an incredible amount of time educating me on the many different aspects of home ownership that I truly had never thought about before.
She never pressured me to look at homes out of my price range or location preference. When I came to the realization that I wasn’t going to be happy in a condo long term and turned my attention to town homes, she quickly changed gears and had a whole new set of criteria of things I should consider with owning a town home.
When it came time to make an offer, Darlene is someone you definitely want in your corner. She was relentless to make sure that the seller followed through on all the items they said would be included in the purchase price. She even thought to request pints of every type and color of paint used on my house from the builder in case I needed to do touch ups in the future. I can’t imagine going through this journey without Darlene. I highly recommend her and will continue to recommend her to anyone that is looking to purchase a home.

We originally met Darlene in Oct/​Nov 2009 when we were expecting our daughter and figuring out whether to build up or buy up… we randomly wandered into an Open House she happened to be helping another real estate agent with, and we immediately clicked! She understands very well that home-​buying is the biggest purchase you will ever make, and we never felt any pressure through the entire process. Despite our not being sure if we were even going to upgrade from our home, she prepared a market analysis for our house, took us on «just-​looking» house hunting trips, eventually taking us multiple times to the home we ended up buying (where we spent time lounging on the staged furniture late at night discussing pros & cons, what we wanted out of life, our hopes and dreams, etc etc before deciding it was the right decision and making an offer.) She was never anything less than 100% professional and as you can imagine after all that deep talk, we now consider her a friend. She has a wealth of resources to help through the entire process, making our move into our new home (2 weeks before baby arrival!!) smooth. Besides all that, I am impressed with anyone who can effortlessly manage both hubby (to-​the-​point) and I (so NOT to-​the-​point!) We have referred her to some of our house-​hunting friends, and everyone has had only glowing words. We turned our old house into a rental, but would like to sell it later this year and wouldn’t dream of using anyone BUT Darlene!
