Went for the doughnuts. They were delicious but they gave me the runs! DOUGHNUTS! Maybe the cream filled one was bad.

Nasty Bibimbop with raw egg. Cold meat. Lukewarm soup. Just waiting to start barfing.

This is a place where I’d like to definitely try again & update my review. The reason is that I ordered the omelette rice. It’s a very simple dish and hard to tell a place’s culinary skills based on this dish. It’s like rating a burger shop on just their fries. The order came out pretty quickly. The portion wasn’t huge but for the $ 6 price I didn’t expect it to be. It was good enough for a mid size lunch. The fried rice was great and the egg was a decent size. This dish is a comfort food favorite of mine and I plan to return as it’s not a dish sold at many places. Especially in the Seattle city limits.

Went here a couple times already, loved the owner! Hes so courteous. Really wanted some korean food without having to travel too far. Perfect for something quick and he offers brown rice which is a plus. Its a quiet deli, but worth the visit! One of those homey feel resturants you wanna go all the time for lunch!

I needed something quick before heading into the Christmas maelstrom known as holiday shopping. Something a little salty to fight fatigue, carby rice for energy, and some garlic from kimchee so I could keep fellow shoppers a comfortable distance away. Deli Seoul is minimally furnished and was playing a cooking show on their old-school TV. Close-captioned and all. At the counter where you order, a case full of Winchell-style doughnuts greets you but I wasn’t tempted by any, although it smelled wonderfully donughtful. I did order the kimchee fried rice with an over-easy egg and a tofu Jap Chae. The rice was okay; I did like that it had little cubes of potatoes in it, and it came with a salad. The JapChae normally comes with beef(the kimchee rice with pork) but the kindly faced owner made it without meat on both. The Jap Chae was great, with lots of slivers of vegetables in it but was a tiny bit underseasoned. I loved talking with the owner; his crinkly eyed smile asking if each dish was good. He is worth the extra star all the way.

This place is unexpectedly random. Some donuts, Korean homestyle favorites, and sandwiches. I found the bibimbap a little disappointing(beef was sort of dry), but the jap chae was DELICIOUS(lovely glassy noodles and a nice sesame flavor). I haven’t tried any of the western items on the menu like spaghetti and meatballs, but Korean seems to be what they do well, so I’ll definitely go back for the jap chae and donuts to take home for later!

Pretty good Bibimbap! I got it to go and it was ready fast. It’s very nice to have Korean food available near work. Too bad they don’t have ban chan! The miso soup is super good.

Fantastic bibimbap, great prices. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the food comes quickly! Yes, the parking spaces are pretty narrow and tight, but it’s not Deli Seoul’s fault.

(Oops. I wrote the review for the wrong place at first…) My boyfriend is so lucky he works so close to this place. This is truly a gem and you can find an assortment of donuts, deli food and snacks here. I was surprised that they had Korean lunch entrees like bulgogi and jap chae, but it was a nice surprise! The jap chae was REALLY good. The noodles were just the right amount of chewiness and the beef was tender and everything was so good that I finished it all, while my bf had some chicken leftover… Anyway, there are a bunch of tables if you want to dine in for a quick lunch. You can even catch up on your soap operas if you’re around in the daytime, they were playing some kind of «As the World Turns» when we were there. Service is also kind and efficient. My bf is a regular and usually knows what he wants. I haven’t tried their donuts yet, but I’ve heard their maple bacon bar is great! I’ll definitely want to come back here the next time I’m in the neighborhood.

I recently went to this cute Korean deli joint in SODO and I absolutely loved the dish I got. I ordered bulgolgi and it came out to less than $ 10. Everything about the dish was delicious. Sure, I could go to an actual sit-down Korean restaurant and pay $ 17 for bulgogi, but I actually thought this lunch dish tasted as good if not better than those restaurants’ bulgolgi. My wallet was sure happy. The dish came with rice and salad. The salad dressing was kinda like cole slaw dressing, slightly sweet, and I ate the whole thing. The kimchi fried rice was AMAZING. Normally it is a plain dish but somehow they managed to make it taste really good and all for about $ 9! There were other items on the menu like japchae(Korean noodles), bibimbap, garlic chicken, etc. I’ll have to try those out next time. They take credit card too!

Im happy there are some Koreans actually making Korean food in this town. This is not on the level of «Old Village» or «Ho Soon Yi» but there aren’t any other Korean choices in SoDo. They have a decent Bi Bim Bop. But they need encouragement to move away from the gloppy curry and embrace selling actual Korean cooking. It is so much better than the mediocre«pan asian» that makes up half their menu and every other teriyaki joint in seattle.

Came here for lunch takeout, I had the beef bibimbap. It is actually pretty good, the flavor is there. They also serve miso soup with it, which I liked. I like that they also have a donut/bakery section inside, I will probably stop by for some donuts when I’m looking for a snack break from work. They are situated in a little retail area with decent parking available. Next time I will try something else there.

I was excited to find this little Korean hole in the wall on my trek to Costco. Overall it was *meh*. I had the Bi-Bim-Bap with tofu. My girlfriend ordered Bulgogi and he messed her order up and gave her the same as me(Bim-bap) with beef. The food was«good» and about what you expect from a take-out deli. The tofu was cooked the day before I think and had no spices. I might go back for a second look, there aren’t many Korean places in downtown so one has to make allowances!

Not the best Korean food I’ve ever had. Not terrible, but not great. But the parking is horrendous. Even if there are spaces, it’s hard to shimmy anything larger than a civic into that crowded lot. I had to park next door at Arby’s.

Me n my girlfriend stopped in for a quick lunch. She ordered chicken bugolgi and i ordered the bibimbap. Both were cheap n excellent! The vegis were good n fresh n both the chicken and beef were very well marinated. If u want good cheap food and ur tired of the same ol teriyaki, try this place! Service was very excellent and the owner/chef is really nice, one of those mom n pop shops u wish would never close.

It’s hard to find good Korean food in Seattle proper. This little Korean deli/café is tasty, fast and inexpensive. The owner/cook is really nice and funny. We had the bibimbap and bulgogi, both very good. We stopped by on our way home from work and the sign on the door said the hours of operation were until 4:30pm, but they were still open at 6 and it seemed like the owner re-opened the kitchen for us. They also own the bakery/donut shop next door which is connected to the deli, and the baked goods looked pretty yummy but we were full from dinner. It’s a modest little place located in a strip mall but they seem to be doing good business. Oh, and the women’s bathroom was clean and just fine! We’ll be back!

I very likely would not have found this place if it wasn’t for some incident at the lander or holgate sodo busway stop. We passed by this place on the reroute and it caught my quick glance. I came back another day to try it out. *hmm* In the whole space(I think the owners even also run the connected bakery(donuts, muffins, etc) next door), I noticed donuts, muffins, fridge drinks, scones, fish n chips, japchae, bibimbap, teriyaki, etc. I ordered the Chicken Bulgogi(dak?) to go off the beaten path of having only tried beef(and usually has too much fat for my taste, in the past). It was tasty and satisfying. The owners, both I assume were korean, seemed nice and charming. The wife had perhaps the strongest accent and difficulty understanding me(i asked her where to put the fork silverware cuz i didn’t see a dish bin but she thought i wanted plastic) which is why i’m guessing the husb cashiered. He even came by me, the lone diner at that time, and checked up on me. He seems pleasant. Moving along, he changed the TV from Oprah to some, i’m guessing, old hospital drama. I might try the bibi or japch next time; never tried those before. IMO, I would give a 5 stars for what it is — -except that the bathroom… um… needs work?
