Dennis J Falcone, DDS

I just switched here from another Seattle dentist and have had two great experiences there so far. As a new parent to a puppy, I can’t leave that little guy home alone yet and Dr. Falcone’s office has let me bring in him both times. While checking out my teeth, they have played with the puppy and even though I felt like I was inconveniencing them, they thanked me for bringing him in! Everyone is so friendly and they have been great at working with me for scheduling.

I have know Dennis Falcone for almost 40 years and he has been my dentist since he established his practice in Wallingford. A few years ago I needed to have my front teeth capped due to tiny fissures that had developed so he made me the most beautiful caps ever! The margins and tint are perfect, and I am proud to smile.
On my last visit I had a tiny filling that needed repair, Dr. Reynaud did the procedure since Dr. Falcone was out of the office. He is also kind, gentle, professional, and sure. I feel I have had the best care available by the team, and that includes everyone!

Hurray! Dr. Reynaud to the rescue! I had just moved to town and broke my tooth on a piece of candy. My friend recommended me to his office and they were able to see me that day. Within a few hours I found out that my previous filling work was sub-​par and the tooth had actually rotted underneath, causing the break. Dr. Reynaud also took the time to explain to me that it wasn’t my teeth that are weak, which is always what I have been told by previous dentists, but that I have high levels of bad bacteria causing my enamel to break down. He really knows his stuff!
Dr. Reynaud and Jessica were able to repair my broken tooth and the tooth behind it (which was also damaged) in no time at all. They also provided me with post-​treatment recommendations to help repair the «bad» environment in my mouth. I was so impressed by the way everyone in this office treated me with courtesy and compassion. I cannot recommend them enough!!!

I love Dr. Falcone, Jessica, Diana and his staff. I started going to him in 2000 and my teeth needed a lot of work from older bad dentistry. We prioritized and slowly worked our way to healthy teeth and gums. I actually am always happy to go and see the gang and get my mouth cleaned. Highly recommend.

I’ve been going here four years and have only had good experiences. You don’t feel like a number — it’s like a small town dentist office but with the expertise of an urban one.
I just got my wisdom teeth taken out by the new dentist there (Reynaud). Apparently my wisdom teeth were screwing up my bite. Since they would have to come out eventually I decided to do it now. The experience was perfectly fine — not the one I was avoiding all these years, and my insurance covered so much of it that it was pretty inexpensive. Dr. Reynaud adjusted my bite after the pesky wisdom teeth were out of the way and I can’t believe how much of an improvement it feels like! I’m glad I took the suggestion on something I didn’t know was a problem that could be fixed.
Also I have never had a hard sell here. They do what you want them to do, give you advice on your best dental health, and let you make the decision.

Wow, Unilocal,you really let me down on this one. My experience with Dr. Falcone was in direct opposition to above reviews: I could not trust him and he did try to sell me everything under the sun. When I left saying I had to think about the procedures he recommended, I got a hard sell at the door by the hygenist!
Let me say this: I take good care of my teeth and have been getting exams and cleanings twice yearly since I was a kid. I had a full set of x-​rays and had a clean bill of health 6 months prior to my visit with Dr. Falcone. My gums are pink and healthy, I do not bleed with flossing, no pain or sensitivity. After an excruciatingly painful exam (I was actually crying — on which Dr Falcone did not comment) he informed me I needed to replace a filling, get a mouth guard, get scaling and root cleaning 3x/​year, replace an old filling, get gum grafting surgery. I couldn’t eat lunch after the exam because my gums hurt so badly.
I am willing to do whatever I need to to be healthy, but the sheer volume of recommendations seemed suspect, and I wasn’t sure after such a painful exam I trusted this office with any more work on my teeth, so I got a 2^nd opinion. A dentist I trust spend 30 minutes with me, my x-​rays, some educational pictures and a mirror. He showed me exactly what he looks for to decide if procedures need to be done. While I watched with a mirror he showed me how to use the tool to measure my gum pockets — all a healthy 3 mm. Now this did not hurt because he stopped at first resistance. My best guess: Dr. Falcone dug that tool deep into my gums, injuring me, in order to conclude my pockets were deep enough to justify the expensive deep cleaning. My dentist showed me the x ray showing no dark area around the filling in question, how his tool could not find and «sticky’ areas — he said its worth watching because its old but at this time there is no indication it requires replacing. He showed me the one area they might consider gum grafting, but said it had been stable for years. He asserted if it worsened the procedure could be done at a later time without harm — Dr. Falcone had literally threatened that without the work my teeth could fall out.
I have a relative who practices dentistry in Oregon. He says a company has been teaching classes to dentists on how to increase their profits with deep cleaning. Sounds like Dr Falcone is a graduate of that seminar. Its one thing to earn money off questionable procedures, it another all together to tear up my soft tissue during an exam to justify it.
My advise: Keep this guy away from your teeth.

I have been exceptionally pleased with the care provided by Dr. Falcone and his staff. To my mind a dentist is a lot like an auto mechanic in that I need one I trust because I have no way of independently verifying if their diagnosis is accurate. I found that I could trust Dr. Falcone. Only rarely did he identify any unexpected issues; even when I flagged concerns, he was perfectly happy to say no work was required if there was no underlying concern. Additionally, when I had to have more than one bit of work done, he was great about finding ways to minimize visits and save money.
It’s a testament to the office that I continued to be a patient for two years after having moved from Seattle to Olympia.
Perhaps the best aspect of being a patient of Dr. Falcone is that his office is literally two doors down from Molly Moon Ice Cream, so after you get your pearly whites all cleaned off, you can treat yourself to some delicious tooth-​destroying ice cream!

I love Dr. Falcone and his staff! I just had my first appointment this week and cannot say enough good things about my experience there. They took their time examining me, getting to know me, and make me feel comfortable. The whole office has a very professional and welcoming atmosphere!

I agree with the rest of the reviews. Dr. Falcone and his staff are wonderful! I found Dr. Falcone from a friend’s referral, and my overall experience was great! In the past, I have had trouble finding honest dentists. I’ve had bad experiences where they’re pushy and always trying to sell their products. Dr. Falcone is honest and presents all the information so that you can make an informed decision. The customer service is great also with prompt friendly service. I had a filling filled, and the following day they called to check to see now I was doing. I highly recommend Dr. Falcone’s office!

Thank you Dennis, Diane, and Carla. This is the family dentistry office I was looking for. They definitely make you feel like their favorite patient within about five minutes.
Not that I know anything about dentistry, but I was pretty impressed with the initial exam. I can’t remember ever having my gums checked so thoroughly. My gums have their own manila folder now. Some people used to big clinics might not like the hassle of a 1-​dentist office, but I love the cozy feeling. Secret: they have fancy hand lotion and mouthwash in the bathroom.
Plan a stop at nearby Archie McPhee while you’re gone from work.

This guy is fantastic. He’s hilarious, really thorough and the staff is really friendly.

Oh man, my search for a dentist is over. It has been three freakin’ years since I have been able to find a place where I like the doctor, my teeth like the doctor, and my wallet likes the doctor. Look, I’m not cheap, but I have had it with dental offices trying to sell everything under the sun to me and backing me in a corner to get expensive unnecessary work done. Alternatively, I have also had it with sketch dental clinics where the hygienist doubles as a janitor and repair person. I’ve been to one place that looked like there were no updates since 1965 and seriously… a gal came in off the roof while I was checking in, then five minutes later was charting my teeth. I have nothing against multi-tasking…but frankly, if I ever needed major work with anesthesia or drugs, I’m so not trusting that place. So, the hunt continued. Until now.
Wallingford Family Dentistry was a great fit! Oh finally,. a small, clean, tasteful clinic with a super friendly staff who will go the extra distance to help out a patient. I found Dr. Falcone to be calm, competent, professional, down to earth, and skilled. The place isn’t super high tech, but all the equipment was modern, and worked great to get the job done. The hygienist was warm and skilled as well. Overall it was a great experience.
If you are looking for a solid, good dentist without a bunch of expensive tech-​junkie fluff, this is your place. It was comfortable and thorough and I am very happy to have a dentist I want to stick with!
