Diamond Nails & Waxing

I’ve been coming here for the last 15+ years and NOBODY compares in quality or price. I’ve traveled the world and NEVER have problems with my mani/​pedis, but if I ever have to go somewhere new — ALWAYS DISAPPOINTED!
Just had my first set of lashes from Diamond Nails — they rock!

I came here last weekend on a whim because I was in the area. They were really nice and accommodating, nice color selection and the place was clean.
I got a shellac manicure and it looked good from a distance but she did not pay attention to details. My cuticles were not throughly cleaned up and the polish did not completely go around the end of my nails like I prefer. In just a few days the shellac started to lift and I tried to keep it as long as possible but less than a week after I had it done all the shellac has pealed completely off. The price was pretty standard and not worth the short time I got to keep the color.

After recently moving to Queen Anne, a friend recommended this salon for quick, reasonably priced, and high quality mani/​pedis. I’m hooked! Probably won’t go elsewhere to get my nails done.
The shellac manis are $ 25 and include a nice massage. Their color selection is pretty great– and all good quality brands. I don’t think my nails have lasted any less than 2 solid weeks after getting them done here. Their attention to detail and 3 coats of polish really make all of the difference.
A spa pedi is only $ 15. That’s right, for 15 bucks you can sit back in the massage chair, soak you feet in lavender scented bath soaps, and get the full treatment. The pedis I’ve received from here have lasted even longer than 2 weeks.
So for $ 40 + tip, you can get a spa shellac mani and pedi that you know will last. I’ve been to other nail salons in the area that are upwards of $ 60 for the combo. If you’re in the Queen Anne area and need to get your nails done, this place is worth a stop.

They do a great job for the price! Definitely recommend this place for manis and pedis.

I’ve not had my nails done there but I received a referral from a friend to see Lein for eyelash extensions. My fiends lashes looked great and the price was too good to pass up.
She saw me on short notice and did a great job. Lein was so sweet and gentle, I highly recommend her.
I’ve had better quality lashes but for double the price.
Only 4 stars because it was VERY hot inside, no AC in the back.

I have been a regular client of Diamond Nail for about a year. Since I’ve been going, I thought I was getting good quality work, and I trusted the person that regularly did my fill (separate from the owner). The past couple months I noticed that several of my natural nail tips were yellowing. I thought that maybe it was something that I was doing wrong in my day to day life, and didn’t think to bring it up with the manicurist. However I recently went for a fill somewhere closer to my home, and the person told me that many of my nails were water damaged due to poor quality acrylic fills! I was so surprised and disappointed with Diamond Nail after seeing the work he had to do to fix my acrylics just to get my nails healthy again. I like the employees of Diamond Nails, but I am hesitant to get a fill with them again. So disappointed!

It really depends on which employee works with you, but my experience happened to be a bad one. The first two fingers the lady worked on bled pretty badly because she did them with haste. I asked her to stop and just give me a bandaid. Not coming back. Good prices but I’d rather pay for something that doesn’t hurt me physically :/

I walked in asking if I can get my shellac nails removed. Lady who helped me (my guess is she is the owner or manger of the business) asked if I also wanted to get them re-​painted. I replied, «no.» However, she does not know that I am Vietnamese. She turned to the male worker and said, «this b*/ch only wants her polished removed but does not even want them re-​painted.» Regardless if it’s only a $ 5 service, I am paying for it and its something that they offer. I wasnt even being rude of any sort of way. I felt that was unprofessional and didn’t really care to cause a scene at their nail salon.

Years ago I used to use this nail salon and they were fantastic. The best part was the each customer had an assigned box that held their own nail file, pumice stone, etc. I have recently moved back to the area and went in for a pedicure. They are no longer the same salon they once were. First of all not one of the women there spoke English. NO ONE. I had to use hand gestures to try to communicate. When the pedi started I noticed that the tools had not been brought from the back but had in fact already been sitting there. I immediately became concerned that they were not clean. I asked the simple question of whether the tools were clean, but they could not understand what I was asking. They kept looking at each other and then at me all the while talking in their native language. It took about 10 minutes to get my question understood. The lady doing my pedi then went and got a cup of blue liquid and put the tools in the cup. I felt only a little bit better. The idea that those tools had been used on someone else’s feet is upsettling to me. Obviously cleanliness and sanitation is not a concern at Diamond Nail.
The other thing that really upsets me is that no one speaks English. How am I, the customer, supposed to communicate? They talked in their native language, which I consider extremely rude. While the lady was doing the massage part of the pedi she was so involved in whatever they were talking about that multiple times she just stopped the massage to talk or she just rubbed my leg in the exact same spot over and over. This might be a petty thing but I am paying for the service and I want it done correctly. It’s a small luxury that I look forward to doing and when it is done half-​assed, I’m really disappointed.

I live nearby, so I walk in about once a month. They are so quick! I love getting in and out of there within about 40 min for shellac mani + pedi. They are priced very well. I definitely get my money’s worth.

Let me start by saying, I hate giving bad reviews… but this was just a complete waste of my money and time.
I came in without an appointment, which was fine as they sat me right away with no wait at all… I had shellac on my nails and needed it taken off (apparently there is an extra $ 5 charge for this which I only found out at the end) — Which I know some places do, so I’m not dogging on them for this– just wish they would have mentioned it.
Anyways. after missing some of the shellac, the lady that was doing a polish change for me sped extremely fast through painting my nails a light pink that I had picked out. She did a VERY sloppy job. Every nail you can see that the 2^nd coat of pink polish is only slapped onto the middle on my nails, not even close to the edges– this outraged me. I literally could have done a better job than the service they gave me. She sped so fast through doing my nails (no other people had come in or were waiting in line) then went and sat near the back in a chair on her phone for the rest of the time that I sat there next to the fan drying my nails. Clearly she had no rush to service another customer.
I am so unhappy with this service, which is too bad because they have good prices and are very conveniently located to where I live, but I can’t say I would ever give them my money again.

A friend and I were looking for a salon to get our nails done on New Year’s Eve. Every other salon in the area was completely packed except for Diamond Nails & Waxing, so we decided to give it a try. The women that worked on our hands appeared to be talking about us and laughing at us the entire time, which was uncomfortable. It took them so long to remove my friend’s previous shellac that she decided not to get shellac done again due to the long removal time (I’ve never seen it take so long before). My nails were not painted all the way down so they looked gross and grown out within a week. Also, my friend asked for her nails to be rounded but they made them square shaped anyway. Overall, not a great experience and now I understand why they were the only open shop.

I have been coming to Diamond Nails for nearly 2 years. Lien does a consistently great job on my nails. She is a perfectionist and so am I so it’s a great match! Now that she also does lashes I’ve discovered she does that with the same attention to detail as my nails. If you want beautiful gel nails or lashes I highly recommend Lien. She’s the best!

I come to this nail salon at least twice a month if not more. I LOVE THEM. I always get my eyebrows and face waxed here. The girl who does them is so good. She knows how to perfectly clean them up without reshaping them.
I didn’t give them a full five stars because obviously you can go somewhere high-​end and have a real intense salon experience. If your looking for affordability, no wait times, and a friendly staff… this is the place to go.
I will come to Diamond Nails as long as they continue to be awesome.

I love my Doll, Lynn at Diamond Nails and Waxing salon! The owners and other employees are nice as well, but I only go to Lynn for my mani & pedi’s and of course Lashes. My nails look GREAT every time!!!

Went here with a coworker on my lunch break last week for a manicure. Came in around noon on a Wednesday and there was no wait, which was nice. Had a good selection of colors to choose from.
I would probably give this place at least one star less if it weren’t for the fact that my $ 10 manicure lasted as long as it did. I’m on day 5 and there’s barely any chipping. Still looks decent enough to wear to work (and I picked a bright color). This was a regular, not gel, manicure. My home manicures never last this long. I was definitely impressed. My coworker said the same thing about hers.
On the downside, the customer service is pretty much non-​existent. During the «massage» the woman pounded on my forearms as if she were taking out her aggressions from the morning. She looked at me as if I were crazy when I asked her to cut my nails (which were already short), and she cut them very close and with force, which kinda freaked me out. The water they gave me to soak my nails in was cold. Those are little sorts of things that show they cut corners.
But in the end, my manicure turned out amazing and really lasted! I will be returning again soon for my next inexpensive manicure at this non-​flashy and quick salon.

Lien is my chica! I’m even that pain in the ass that wants to get all artsy with multi colors of polish & decals & she just smiles & secretly hates me, I’m sure. No matter what annoying BS I ask for she rocks it.

I only ask for Than because she pays very close attention to detail. She paints perfectly.
Not the most cleanest place but I go because it’s close by and the price is cheap. I’ve never once gotten cut and always had friendly service.

Diamond Nails offers a mani + pedi deal for $ 25. Enough said.
I’ve only been there a couple times but have yet to be disappointed. There are a lot of great color options whether you are looking for shellac or regular polish. The staff always does a great job, are friendly, and really ensure they do a good job. The other positive is that you do not need to make an appointment ahead of time.
Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good, cheap mani + pedi!
