On 1 April, 1960 the very first Dr. Martens boots rolled off the production line in Northamptonshire, England. Taking their name from the date of their inception, the iconic Dr. Martens 1460 boot had arrived.

I bought my first pair of Docs here. I was immediately greeted upon entry. An awesome lady with a septum piercing and glasses helped me (wish I had asked for her name). She was very nice as I tried on different sizes of the UK-​made 1461. I’m glad I made the trip to the downtown branch instead of ordering online. The experience was great!
The store’s location isn’t bad; it’s near the tunnel station but a lot of sketchy characters hang around Westlake. The store’s interior was clean.

The zipper on one of my magdelena boots broke about an hour ago. I work around the corner and stopped in to see what my options were. The staff member I spoke to was very nice and apologetic (wish I had gotten his name but he was tall with dark curly hair). In all honesty I was expecting to hear that there was nothing they could do as I had bought the boots about two months ago. But after a quick search through there sales computer and a trip to the back room I was walking out of the store in a brand new pair!
The staff is always so kind and patient no matter what reason I have for stopping in. Shopping here is always a great experience.

I wanted some UK made Dr Martens so I stopped by the store while visiting Seattle. They had a huge selection of shoes, including lots of the UK made ones. Charlotte was extremely helpful and was clearly a lifelong Dr Martens wearer. After trying on more pairs than I normally do, I bought a pair of 1461 shoes. They’re quite stiff and will need some break in time but so far I’m very happy with the store and shoes. I’ll likely return in the future for more.

The manager at this store is a complete b1 $&!. I had a return and asked for an exchange then asked what if I get something cheaper and she says we’ll cross that road when we get there then when I checked out tried to charge me more money instead of discounting me like I had on my previous shoes. The sales people were great but the manager clearly didn’t care how I felt and did not have people skills at all! As someone who worked in retail for ten years and deals with people everyday I was enraged. You would think when spending 150 dollars the manager would be the first to talk to you in a nice manner. I don’t even want to step foot in that store my experience was so bad.

Love me some Docs! I’m a Dr. Marten fan because the boots are super comfy and last forEVER so the steep price is worth it in the long run.
Stopped in this store today while in Seattle to just browse and experienced some great service. I didn’t catch her name but the sales woman had light blue hair and a few small facial piercings. (Oh wait, that probably applies to several other Doc Marten sales associates too. Oh well. They’re probably all awesome too.)

I purchased my first pair of Dr Martens vegan dress shoes here approximately one and a half years ago. The service was friendly and helpful. The shoes have held up perfectly over almost 18 months of wear over nearly 5⁄7 days out of each of those weeks. I’ve been VERY happy.

Not sure what the managers name was :(it was a fella) He was super helpful in exchanging my docs due to a blown out sole. I give five stars for customer service but unfortunately I am displeased with the company’s decision to outsource which leads to a lower quality product. Been wearing docs since I was 12 and I nearly gave them up when mine fell apart after one month of wear but based on the incredible customer service I received at the store and nostalgia I will continue to wear these shoes. End thought: KEEP IT IN THE UK!!!

The people working in the shop were incredibly friendly and helpful. The person assisting me was patient as I hemmed and hawed about my decision. The interior of the shop was clean and incredibly organized. I wouldn’t hesitate to come here again.

I’m not sure how I feel about the location — it’s a great space, but truth be told I never made it to their old location, which seemed a bit sketch. Now it’s across from Westlake Center and next to the very interesting folks that hang on 3rd and Pine.
I’ll be sure to stop in again for all my Dr. Martens needs.

The shoes here are awesome! Really high quality but the people that work here are so rude. It really grinds my gears when people like this work in CUSTOMER SERVICE. At least be nice & helpful. It’s a good thing these shoes basically sell themselves. Will be ordering online to avoid helping this particular store.

What can I say? This is the only place I buy my shoes from! I’ve been wearing Dr. Martens exclusively since the early 90’s and you can’t go wrong with going straight to the source. They have an awesome selection, and the staff is really knowledgeable and helpful. I’ve been shopping at this location as well as their previous location for the past four years and have always had a great experience. Whether you’re looking for boots, oxfords, or anything in between, they have plenty of styles and colors.
They also carry accessories such as colored laces and cleaning/​polishing kits. Don’t expect to find deep discounts, though. It’s not an outlet store, so everything is regular price. I haven’t known them to offer any type of military discount in the past, but maybe they’ll add one in the future.
If you’re in the market for a new pair of Docs, this is your shop.
