So this place is really good and centrally located. The restaurant is divided into two sections: the fancy restaurant in front of the bay and the bar area on the street. We went to the bar because we were just looking or drinks. Fortunately enough, it was happy hour time and we got a good deal on oysters and appetizers. The oysters were darn good and they cleaned the shells very well. I don’t remember what we had for regular appetizers but I do remember leaving very satisfied. Service was excellent. Our waitress recommended several drinks and even started asking me what kind of taste buds did I tend to like. She recommended a great white wine. I would definitely try the full restaurant based on this experience. The food was excellent and the service was fenomenal.

The oysters were nice and the outdoor seating was pleasant but the service was just so so. Elliott’s Oyster House just a bit further down to the ocean has better seating and service. I would go back to Elliott’s Oyster House instead of the café next time. Both were crowded and popular.

This new seafood café is literally in front of Elliott’s Oyster House. We had a great time. We went on a July evening at about 730pm. The Argosy boats were no longer using their PA system and instead it was a lovely tranquil evening. We were given a choice when we got to Elliott’s which one we’d prefer. We chose the Seafood Café because we wanted great food and a more casual atmosphere.(Elliott’s and Elliott’s Seafood Café share a kitchen and given the pictures we had some near identical food at lower price points.) We sat outside and although a chilly evening we had good service and delicious food. It was our goodbye Seattle dinner. The fried seafood combo was tasty. The prawn cocktail was decadent. It left us wanting more. The White Chowder was creamy and authentic and perfect both in the cup and bowl. The wedge shrimp salad was crunchy and fresh with a bit of softness with the shrimp. A unique and welcome combo. We enjoyed the cool breezes, the waterfront and views of Seattle.

This was formerly Steamers. It was an outdoor walk up fish bar with a small outdoor seating area near the Argosy boats. Now it’s an «upscale outdoor seating fish bar.» Prices are much higher. What you get for the price is waiter service instead of self serve. We went here specifically because I had an Entertainment Book coupon for Steamers. Unfortunately they no longer accept them. I think that is pretty shitty. The max value of the coupon is only $ 8 and when the fish & chips are $ 12 and beers are $ 6 each the bill adds up very quickly. I’m not sure how much more expensive the Elliotts further out the pier is but I would not pay the Seafood Café prices again to sit near the Argosy loading area & listen to their incessant PA’s about loading & tickets. Waiter was nice & food was good but the atmosphere does not match the price. Nice try, but NO. :(
