I payed $ 100 up front for an X-​ray to tell me what I already new. I needed a tooth pulled and they wanted $ 350 up front and said my insurance would send me a check. What a crock! That’s $ 200 more than the last one I had pulled. Ill never go there again and neither should you!

I needed an emergency root canal on the weekend, and these guys helped me out. It wasn’t the best work ever, but they took care of me on the weekend, when my regular dentist was probably out on his boat that I paid for. My tooth had become infected, and I was in a lot of pain. Honestly, the crown does not fit quite as well as the crown I got when I had a root canal at my endodontist, but did I mention it was on the weekend and I was in a lot of pain? I would go here again in similar circumstances.

I came here with a very painful toothache whilst travelling in the USA from Australia. I was extremely relieved when our hotel concierge was able to organise an appointment here within an hour of phoning, despite it being late on a Friday afternoon. I waited approx half an hour once arriving, but this is fairly standard for medical appointments in Australia (particularly when it’s emergency and difficult to predict how long other patients treatments will take). My tooth was x-​rayed and the doctor said it should be removed, which she could do right then and there. What a relief! I was given pain killers and the whole thing was over in about 15 minutes. Very impressive! I found all the staff to be polite, helpful and put me at ease. The doctor and dental nurse were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The follow up care was also great. Would highly recommend this place if you need to get a dental issue sorted quickly! My tooth healed just fine and I was able to enjoy the rest of our vacation. The cost was also very reasonable and completely covered by my travel insurance which was a further relief.

I found this dentist office while searching for dentists in Seattle that would do in-​house financing or work with patients and that had hours that I could get in. My job doesn’t have sick or vacation days and I work until 6pm, so without insurance I couldn’t afford to pay for the dentist and miss a day of work. They were understanding and I got (what I thought was) the first appointment on Saturday morning. When I asked about the in-​house financing option the woman that answered the phone told me I shouldn’t bother with this and recommended applying for the credit company they work with if I could get a co-​signer. This brief suggestion saved me.
When I got there I was surprised to find that two other people had appointments at the exact same time. I waited patiently and wasn’t taken to an exam room for 45 after I arrived. I then had two x-​rays done for my sore tooth. Two because the first one apparently wasn’t done properly and a second person had to come in to do it correctly. The film that they used was huge! It cut the top of my mouth and was very painful to hold in at all.
The dentist came in for about 2 minutes to do an exam. She asked which tooth hurt. I explained which one it was. Without any notice she sprayed an extremely painful substance on it to test that I was describing the correct one. I have never had a dentist or doctor or even a tattoo artist do something they knew to be painful without warning.
She told me that I would need a root canal and left. I wasn’t given any description of the procedure being recommended to me or why. I knew that I was in a lot of pain and just wanted it to go away, but I had done some research and was anticipating that she would tell me this.
Then, I was surprised to see the receptionist come in to talk to me. She explained how much the procedure would be and that the credit would be maxed out and I would need to pay anything remaining right then. Before they would do any additional work with me. I could only afford to get the root canal with filling/​sealing done and couldn’t possibly afford the extra $ 1600 beyond that for a crown. There was never an offer to do any in-​house financing so that I could get the crown. She told me that probably the filling would hold for up to a year. (The dentist never mentioned to me when I should get a crown or how long I could expect it to last.) I can understand going over the prices for an expensive procedure before it is done. What felt really weird is sitting there in the exam chair, wearing the paper bib, having just been surprise sprayed with pain-​juice and handing over my debit card for her to run off with.
After I paid the dentist came in to give me a numbing shot. I didn’t have a problem with that. 10 minutes later when the assistant came to check on me I mentioned that my cheek was numb but nothing else. The doctor came back in to administer additional shots. The first one was uncomfortable but normal shot pain. The second shot was a total, terrible painful surprise. It was in the middle of the roof of my mouth. The pain was so incredible that I teared up. When I made a little noise the dentist said «oh, ya, this one hurts, sorry».
Finally, 45 minutes after the initial shot, the procedure was ready to begin. At the point when the procedure started I realized that no one was going to tell me what they were actually doing. It made me nervous and uncomfortable. The procedure lasted another hour and a half. Every time I made a little noise at the drill (due to pain in my lip because the drill was being pressed up against it) I was told «don’t worry, it’s just noise, it’s just noise». Sure, it wasn’t painful in the tooth, like she thought I was implying, but it was certainly not just «noise» she was making. I was shocked once the procedure was done to find no remaining biting surface of my tooth — that was quite a bit of drilling. The dentist never came back once she was done to talk to me or tell me what to expect. No one told me what to expect except the receptionist. I had one final (painful) x-​ray and then was told to go see the receptionist.
She explained that it could be sore for a few days and to get the crown as soon as I could. She also realized that the doctor had forgotten to write my prescription. Ultimately I was quite happy that they had solved my extremely sore tooth, but I also had the feeling of helplessness, and frustration at what was left in my mouth without an explanation to me. I would have at least like to have been a little prepared for the fact that there is hardly anything left of any «tooth». If I had any other viable option I would go somewhere else!

If you can, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
It was a couple months ago that I went here (still having pain in the tooth that had a root canal in) I was in between dentists and having severe pain in my upper right bicuspid, pretty clear it needed medical attention ASAP.
Everyone there was unpleasant from the moment I arrived. I waited an hour before I was seen. The usual happened, X-​rays and the lot, and I was then told I had an abscess and needed a root canal. I then asked to be referred to an endodontist (an actual oral surgeon rather than a dentist) I was told that it’s a routine procedure that she had done many times and that it shouldn’t take more than an hour. Weighing the options I decided to have the $ 2’200 root canal done then with them rather than waiting. (mistake)
5 hours later (making it a 7 hour trip to the dentist) it was finished. They were incredibly rough. It was so so painful, shot after shot and I could still feel it. It took literally all day and I was a mess emotionally and physically by the end of the ordeal. Had to be picked up because I was worried to drive in my condition.
For weeks my jaw and mouth were in pain. I should mention that I’ve had two other root canals and never ever EVER felt like this afterward.
After a few weeks with the temp crown the pertinent had arrived… Another disaster getting that on. It was huge and had to be ground down over and over so what once looked like a tooth, now looks like a weird smooth thing. She ground down the crown so much that she got to the metal part and I now have a black spot on my two thousand dollar tooth.
DO NOT GO HERE.

I was having some tooth pain, and was getting ready to leave town. My normal dentist was out of the country. I went to this clinic to see if they could isolate the problem. The exam and x-​rays were inconclusive, so the dentist recommended a root canal, advising that I likely had a micro-​fracture.
I proceeded to have the root canal done.
The doctor advised that I had to have a temporary crown put on immediately. This was my fatal mistake. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT IT IS SAFE TO WAIT A WEEK, OR SO BEFORE A CROWN IS PUT ON AFTER A ROOT CANAL. The dentist at Emergency Care USA advised the crown had to be done immediately. This is NOT true, and is actually not the best practice. My dentist advised it is good to wait a bit to make sure nothing goes wrong with the root canal.
In prepping for the crown, the dentist ground down my tooth too much. I have less than 1 mm of tooth left to hold the crown. When I had the temporary crown checked by my regular dentist, he was shocked the crown was still on. Additionally, when my regular dentist x-​rayed the tooth, he found the dentist at Emergency Care USA had neglected to put a post in my tooth. My dentist advised that without a post, the crown would snap off after six months, and I would run the risk of losing what was left of the tooth.
Now, I have to have a new temporary crown put on. I have to have a post put in my tooth, and hope the tooth doesn’t fall apart. I also have to pay the money to see a Periodontist to help build up the tooth before the permanent crown is put on due to having too much tooth take off. And, if I am lucky, I will have this tooth for another five years, but my dentist advised I will likely need to have a dental implant, because my tooth was butchered.
While Emergency Dental Care USA does guarantee their work, I am afraid to go back to them for any additional work. The work that was done for the crown is bordering malpractice.
Everyone at the office was very nice. They explained their billing clearly. Their equipment is VERY old and not in good condition. They do not use digital x-​rays. The drill was not maintaining good speed. The dentist was complaining about broken and bent tools.

Like many things that I procrastinate in life, I had failed to find a dentist when I moved up to Seattle. So it shouldn’t have come as a surprise that I had no idea where to go when I had a tooth go from bad pain to horrible pain within a couple days and nowhere to turn.
A friend recommended Emergency Dental Care USA in downtown Seattle. She had gotten emergency dental work done there and said that it was pretty affordable. I was skeptical of any place that offers «emergency» care, because to me that equals $$$$, but I was glad that I took her advice.
I was able to be seen by Dr. Huang (whom I highly recommend) the same day that I called. It turns out that I needed a root canal, which I was also able to get done that day. I didn’t feel a thing (thanks to novocaine), and I have to say that it was one of my better dental experiences. By the time I walked out the door, I was only paying $ 800 after insurance for x-​rays, the root canal, and the molded crown, which I came back to get 2 weeks later. Not bad at all! I am using to paying upwards of $ 2,500 for a root canal and crown.
The views from the patient rooms are pretty sweet. I was really impressed with Dr. Huang’s friendliness and professionalism. She was caring, sweet, and very gentle with me. In fact, everyone at this location was super friendly and nice from the receptionist (who helped explain payment options, etc.) to the dental assistant, who took my x-​rays, did my crown molding, and assisted with my root canal.
They offer payment plans through Care Credit, which is also a great way to finance pet care as well. It’s amazing to have the flexibility to pay over time when you are talking about expensive services.
Emergency Dental Care not only performs emergency work but will also assist with any follow-​up and regular dental work, including cleanings. I will definitely be back after my experience here, and I think Dr. Huang is for keeps!

I’ve had a lot of trouble finding the right dentist in the Seattle area, since I just moved here from Michigan, but Emergency Dental really lived up to my expectations of a true and honest dental experience.
I had two teeth that needed some serious help, and I went in expecting to have two extractions done. Most places I went, both here and back home, recommended the extraction option over a root canal because the extractions are cheaper and I don’t have insurance. But when I got to Emergency Dental, they strongly, strongly encouraged me to splurge on a root canal and save my teeth. Why? Because they care. They went to great lengths to keep extraction as a last resort, and I settled for the root canal. They even helped me out financially by doing the procedure in steps, which is incredibly helpful to my budget.
The procedure itself wasn’t near as unpleasant as I’d expected. I prepared for the worse, but after being numbed, it was hardly what I expected. Only once, for a half a second, did I experience sharp pain — and the doctor was more than willing to numb me up more, and even apologized for my pain.
And to comment on what other reviewers have said, based on my experience:
The receptionist was not the dental assistant. In fact, the receptionist was a woman and the assistant was a (good looking) man. I’m not sure how you can confuse these two.
And personally, I could care less about the upholstery and the look of the waiting room. Get a life. I go to the dentist to get dental work done, not go over paint swatches. In fact, if they were spending too much on interior decorating, I’d wonder about the use of the hard earned money I fork over to get medical work done.
Also, this place is only so advanced. You can’t expect to get your wisdom teeth removed the same day you start making calls because they finally start hurting, and you can’t expect a general practice to preform a surgery for which you should be completely sedated and operated on by an ORAL SURGEON. There’s a difference, and you should have prepared better — the one stars reviews you people are leaving are pretty unfounded, based on my experience, and I think they’re unjust.
To be completely honest, I can’t wait to go back there. After a double root canal, that should say something. I’m so relieved that my teeth are, finally, one step in the right direction toward fully functional and recovered. THANK YOU, Emergency Dental!

I had a very positive experience here. I felt safe and cared for and was given HONEST advice. My current oral health hasn’t been in a state of greatness and that paired with avoidance and procrastination ended in… Root canal… But hopefully the first step to healthy teeth.
This review is based mostly on the genuine customer care. Dr. Beke, forgive me if I’ve misspelled your name, thank you for your care, kindness, and non-​judgemental nature! Andre the dental assistant was also very kind and thorough, as well as Teresa who gave me helpful financial advice. You’re AWESOME.

I would only use this clinic if you lost a tooth in the middle of the night or something pretty ridiculous that can’t possibly wait until your next dental appointment.
I somehow knocked one of my fillings out of my molar or something so I called this office and asked for a same day appointment (this was around 3:00pm, the office closes at around 8:00pm) — they couldn’t see me that day so I came in the next day, in the morning, as the first patient (note the non-​emergency).
What struck me as rather strange was that the receptionist also happened to be the dental assistant (!) This is the first time I have ever seen this occur. Does this clinic not have enough work (or money?) to hire a separate receptionist?
Also the décor of the place is rather dark and dingy. My arm chair was kind of scuffed up and the walls could have used some paint retouches, and some better livelier décor to cheer up the place.
As for the actual operation, the dentist took out my filling and put in a new one. However, in the process, she jabbed this plastic disc thing in my mouth to keep it from closing (I had to bite on it), and as a result, I have this huge hole/​canker sore in the back of my mouth now (doesn’t hurt, but it’s just weird having a hole that big in the back). Most dentists I know do not have to use plastic things to keep your mouth open…
Anyway, proceed with caution. Yea the receptionist and dentist were nice, but everything else about the clinic just felt rather off. And I still have this huge hole in the back of my mouth.

This was a terrible experience. My already sore gums were prodded and jabbed at. The most pain I’ve had with this tooth was right after visiting this office. The worst part is, they only gave me a referral for a procedure I already knew I needed. I came to this «emergency» clinic to get it taken care of. I basically donated $ 150 to this family practice for prescribing fricking Tylenol to manage the intense pain they caused me.

Definitely not an «emergency» clinic. I called and told them I need my wisdom teeth out. I know this because they are raging with pain, pushing my other teeth forward, and crowning through the gums. So they scheduled a consultation with me. I paid $ 140 for a consultation and 4 films. Each film was $ 20, compared to UW’s $ 107/​film, so that is the only positive comment I have.
During the exam, Dr. Dawar banged on my teeth and gums with metal, and I practically screamed. So he banged on the other side as well, which luckily wasn’t already in pain. That night, the nerves under my teeth throbbed and hurt more than ever.
When I left they gave me a REFERRAL to another place to get my wisdom teeth out, where I will need ANOTHER consultation, which is what I came to THIS place for! So, basically I just wasted $ 140. I politely told them this was the issue and I felt mislead, and they didn’t give a crap.
Receptionists were hot and cold, nice and then rude, because they are in a part of town and charge a price that attracts a lot of crazy and rude people.

I feel terrible for this dentist. The receptionist was so horribly rude to me that I cancelled my appointment.

Pain relief is just a phone call away… unless you call outside of OFFICE hours! Emergency dental care my ass.

Alright, so I had a problem. A really big problem. I had a missing tooth. No, not one of my back teeth… but my FRONT tooth. After an asshoe dentist in Reno gave me a temporary crown with no intentions of working with me to get the real one… four years later I still had it. It fell out last summer. Bad news. Financially, there was no way to get a new one at the time, so I proceeded to cement it in myself with store bought dental glue. This went on for a good year and a half. Recently while getting ready for work, the temporary broke in half! What a nightmare! I ended up super glueing it back together. This was getting ridiculous so I took action. I don’t make alot of money, and obviously I don’t have dental insurance but SOMEBODY in Seattle had to help me! I called a million clinics before I got a hold of this place. The receptionist was SUPER nice and helpful. She said I could apply for the Care Credit program and they could get me in that day!!! I almost peed myself with joy. I approved for the program with my buddy’s help and I was in the chair in no time.
Dr. beck is awesome. Not only is he funny, but he is not scary at all! I have always had scary dentists and this guy is just cool. Even though he had to stick me with needles he still made me feel comfortable. Awesome! I have now realized that not all dentists are scary assholes.
The great thing is that they are open from 9 am to 9 pm. So if your retarded ass breaks your tooth opening a beer bottle at 7 pm, they could probably get you in.
Parking is LAME but there is a garage close and not too expensive.
