Emily Austin – Untangled

I’ve been going to Emily for about a year and am very satisfied with her services. She’s super friendly, very detail oriented and affordable.

I have been going to Emily for years. She is amazing! every hair cut looks great on me, and the color is always perfect. How good is she? I’ve had other hairdressers admire my hair and ask me where I had it done.

I realize that walking into a salon and saying «give me red hair» is a dicey prospect; it depends so much on skin tone, personality, time of year, etc. Emily knew what worked with my skin, offered suggestions, and was prepared to help me fix the color if it didn’t turn out that I liked it once it was dried and done.
I will absolutely be going back to her for color, and I urge anyone (especially fellow non-​redheads seeking to go red) to see her at least once. She’s fun to talk to and has a lot of industry experience and knowledge to apply.
This was an amazing experience, and I couldn’t be happier with the results!

I’ve been to Emily several times and she is fantastic. My husband also started seeing her a few months ago and now he’s a total convert. It’s obvious she has years of experience and just knows what to do with your hair. Of course she will talk over your preferences, but she also has great ideas and knows what will work best for your hair. In my opinion she is the best in West Seattle. Great prices, fantastic service, and frankly she is just a lovely person. You won’t regret making an appointment.

Emily Austin recently moved from Shanti to Via salon (although she is independent). I just had my first appointment at the new place. First, scheduling was 1000x easier because she uses
. So no calling a front desk and being placed on hold, or having to call at specific times. Booking services is super easy too, and she has a price list AND time budget for the service on the site. Very helpful.
Emily talked me into baliage and I love it! She has a knack and an eye for what would look good on her client. Even though I felt like I was taking a risk, she reassured me and made sure I could come back in if I wasn’t happy. However, I was really happy with how it came out.
She also frequently checks in with you and clarifies what you want, and balances your opinion with her expert knowledge.
