Enchant is a Seattle based pole dance studio focused on helping you achieve your pole dance goals and building a community of people who love pole! We specialize in Pole Dance, Pole Silks, Lyra and much much more!

History

Established in 2014.

Opened on December 17 2014, Enchant Vertical Dance is a new studio directly in the heart of Capitol Hill.

Our building is on the corner of 12th and Pike and has two entrances. The entrance to our studio is on 12th, look for the large red and black doors.

Business Owner

Jessica started pole dancing back in 2008 and completely fell in love. A passion for pole as well as a desire for helping others led to her teaching career one year later. After the studio she worked for closed, she decided to forgo her baking degree and open a studio of her own. As a long term resident of Capitol Hill, the choice of location seemed obvious!

I was visiting Seattle and dropped by for a Level 2 class.
At first I was sort of overwhelmed because all the other students (5) already knew each other. They talked a lot during warm-​up — I’m glad they have fun but don’t think it was very professional for a class?
The class is more unstructured than those I’m used to taking. I think this class is more appropriately divided into 2 levels: Level 1 for students who took the intro series and Level 2 for those who already master some spins and invert comfortably.
Overall I enjoyed my experience at the end of the class. It’s more like a self-​planned class with instructor’s supervision. I was taught a few floor moves, which were pretty easy. I assume the instructor picked those to be safe bc she didn’t know my skill level.
I think I’d still prefer a class where students are closer to one another in skill level, and teach different variations of moves (easy to difficult).
Another con is that the bathroom is located 2 floors above and you have to go through like 3 doors! Pretty inconvenient.

I have to say that Enchant is the best dance studio I have ever experienced. First of all the lobby is cozy and welcoming and the actual studio is just glamorous, I just love being there all the time. Everything done there is done by being safety conscious, and I respect and appreciate that. I also appreciate how encouraging and supportive everybody is there, not just the instructors but the students as well, it is literally the BEST STUDIO EVER!!! and I am proud to say Enchant is my home away from home.

MY FAVORITE DANCE STUDIO! I Love this place. The instructors are so knowledgeable and considerate. I really like what a body positive environment they’ve created that encourages you to do your best and have a lot of fun. They just introduced an Intro to Lyra class that I am now obsessed with! It’s fantastic cross training for pole too. Enchant really keeps things fresh and exciting. The space itself is welcoming and clean with good lighting that makes you want to dance all day! Thanks Enchant for offering affordable and diverse classes!

Been going to this studio for about 3 months now and it has become one of my favorite places to be. I have learned quite a lot in my short time here and look forward to exploring some of the other class offerings (Lyra and Silks look like a heck of a lot of fun)
The pole classes have proven to e quite a good workout. I have noticed some great changes in strength and muscle tone as well as overall flexibility. The best bit is I hardly see it as a workout because it is just a blast!
tl;dr I am hooked on this place and you should check it out. :D

I’m so bummed! I really wanted to enjoy this class! I was really excited about having a hoop class so close to home, but it was just awful! :(((
The class was way too simple and really boring. The instructor (owner of the studio I think) had a plan of what moves you get to do on your first day and I wasn’t allowed to try anything else. Most teachers are able to modify the class to the level of their students. It was so boring! Everything was really easy and I actually had to spend a ton of time just waiting even though there were only three students there! The other 2 students were in their second class and she would give them things to do and then not let me have a turn because it was my first class and she didn’t want to overwhelm me! The extra stuff looked super simple too so I have no desire to go back to be able to try them. It was so boring and not a workout at all! I am really shocked by how bad this class was, though I guess it’s quite approachable no matter your fitness level.
I really hope she figures out how to teach because it could be a really awesome studio. They have good energy and have made a nice space.

The class was very rigid. It also started late and ended late. The teacher was nice, but would absolutely not tolerate you even trying a move that wasn’t designated for that day. I would have understood if it was a pole move, but even a simple floor move wasn’t allowed in the free time between instruction. Fun class besides that, though.

I’ve been going to this amazing studio since January. I’ve always want to try pole dancing but above all it helps to have instructors that want to teach. They are exemplary when it comes fo giving proper guidance to students and make me feel as if I’m apart of another family. Cheers and I will be back!

I love this studio. It is a welcoming, non-​judgmental place where YOUR version of strong and sexy is accepted. There are no mirrors for a reason. Us women are too hard on ourselves. It is encouraging to be yourself and feel the music, not focusing on how you look or compare yourself to others. Pole has changed me. I walked out the first day with a huge smile on my face. I felt like I could do anything. I recommend pole to every woman. It is a wonderful feeling to open up and allow yourself to realize the confident beautiful woman you are. I promise it’s in there. the owner, Jessica, is my instructor and she is an amazing talented dancer. She inspires me with her encouragement and unbelievable dancing skills. There is a lobby to hang out and have your coffee or chat beforehand, and a low lit dance room. She has leg warmers and pole clothes for sale as well as grip aids. No matter what kind of day I am having I walk through the doors and it all fades and it’s just me, the great friends I have made, and the excitement of getting that new move. Fantastic.

Went here today with a groupon for an introductory pole workshop. Since it was the middle of the day on tuesday I ended up being the only person and getting a private class. yayyy! I have a yoga/​dance background so I think I could have handled a little more intensity but that’s not really a complaint as I think this was the perfect pace for an «i’ve never tried anything like this before» class. Small, intimate studio. Really nice instructors. Fun class!

Okay, here’s the deal.
This studio is brand-​spanking new and the owner and teachers clearly are incredibly passionate about their craft.
It’s small, it’s intimate and they clearly strive to promote an incredibly supportive and empowering experience.
They are affordable, provide tips, equipment and encouragement which are all very helpful when trying to balance getting in shape with exploring some new ways to connect with yourself.
I super love it here, I bet you will too!
