Not the best taco truck I’ve ever eaten from, but not the worst either! There was a vegetarian option for me, but it was juicy and made a mess on the ground. The corn tortillas were fresh and may have been the best part of the taco. The pico de gallo was decent and prep time was maybe a minute. For less than $ 3, it’s hard to not like a quick appetizer while you’re waiting a couple of hours for a table to open up at a hot spot nearby. It is conveniently located in the corner parking lot right across from where the Fremont Oktoberfest is held and right on the main drag. It’s fairly decent for what it is — maybe better tasting after late night pub-crawling in the area. Although usually if that is going down, so are some Pal’meni czar dumplings!

Some great carnitas tacos! $ 2 each and they were super easy to eat… not drippy or greasy at all. There were two other people waiting for their food before me and I maybe waited five minutes; great turn around! I thought it was odd that they closed around 10. Maybe they were off to another location or taking a break(no signage), but it would seem that being open might be more profitable on a saturday night; the same night of the Hop Scotch frstival.

The closest thing to LA taco truck I’ve found in Seattle. I lived in LA for six years and have been on the prowl looking for something in Seattle to satiate my taco truck burrito cravings, flair is the closest thing yet! I always order from flair and eat at add-a-ball and enjoy some pinball too. I’d say it wouldn’t stand up against some of the top taco trucks in LA, but could stand a chance.

I love taco trucks, I eat at them several times per week. I haven’t been that impressed with Flair Tacos, so I haven’t been there for a while. Today, I was hungry, and needed food, so I gave them a shot… not only is their food horrible, they’re the most expensive tacos around. I had two asada tacos, I literally had to pour off the watery/greasy fluids from the plate that the tacos were swimming in… then of course, the tortillas were too saturated to hold together., leaving me with handfuls of bland meximush. We need a good taco truck in Fremont, I’ll never spend another penny at Flair, they serve pathetic… uh, food.

wow, disappointed. i am someone who loves even marginal Mexican food, but this was truly bad. my bf liked his tacos, but my burrito was BAD. the pork for was wet and without flavor, there were too many onions, there were no other ingredients included(like the sour cream advertised on the menu board), and part of the tortilla was soggy. not good. maybe this place is good for drunk people spilling out of Fremont bars at 2am but not someone sober looking for more than an easy carb/fat fix. i would not order a burrito again.

This review is for the Flair«crazy taco» truck in Ballard. YUCK. Walked up to the truck, guy talking on phone for 5 minutes before taking my order. Nobody else around(no other customers). I ask what is good here, he seems indifferent about everything on the menu and I should have taken that as a warning to get out of there. I order 3 different tacos to see which one is best. Pastor was edible, chicken and pork ones were straight nasty. Threw them in the trash and walked away.

I’m going to make this simple. My recommendations: For potential customers: Don’t eat here. For the owners: Cut your losses and close up shop. One bite and in the trash… it’s gross.

Pretty tasty tacos at 1am, we came here for a little CH after a cocktail party had me drunk and the DD tired.

Carne asada and chicken soft tacos. Goes perfectly with a night out drinking on the town in Fremont. Open late and food is served quick. Which is nice considering the weather in Seattle. I love the influx of quality and cheap food from the local taco trucks around Seattle in the past few years.

Ignore the protesters. The Seattle Solidarity group has been consistently making baseless claims against local businesses. And honestly, if their claims ARE true(things like unpaid wages), then this is a matter to be handled by the Department of Labor, not a local activist group, and the fact that the protestors are not contacting the DoL makes me doubt the claims even more. As far as the food is concerned, I used to live down the street and went a few times. It’s decent food for being a taco truck, but don’t expect it to be mind-blowing or anything. For what it’s worth, the non-taco items are much better than the tacos, though they may take a little bit since they’re made to order. The tacos are a pretty good deal price-wise for Seattle, and they have them all ready to go and can be ready pretty quick. For the most part, I think this place thrives on drunk food though, so go in expecting that and I think you’ll be pretty happy.

This one is going to be short and sweet. I only go here for the tacos al pastor($ 1.50). They are the best ive had from any of the seattle taco trucks and better than most of the brick and mortar shops too. Cheap, fast, and delicious. You can get 3(heavy snack or a ‘light’ meal) for under $ 5.

Late-night go-to Fremont — friendly sight after dancing at Nectar or a pubcrawl on 36th. Cheap Mexican fare.

Taco Truck — In all honesty i’ve only frequented this truck between the hours of 1 am and 3 am. The food is usually high quality and the service is up to par. If you can maneuver the drunk college crowd of dudes making out with 5’s and you need a burrito then ‘Flair Taco’ is your place.

The bad: Lackluster taco truck fare at prices that always seem a little too high for what you’re getting. $ 1.50/taco, $ 6/burrito or quesadilla. Limited menu. The good: Great convenient location in the middle of Fremont, open at lunch and into the late night, the ability to pay via LevelUp app from your smartphone. And I admire the staff’s dedication. I just wish the quality-price ratio was a little more favorable.

My encounter with Flair Taco: in Homage to Howl. I flew across the country in mid-August, to spend a brief sabbatical in Seattle prior to my elder brother’s wedding– dragged my full backpack through the oven-cleaning heat of the Vegas airport, full of 9-dollar desiccated pretzels and shouting cellophane of Nevada nut bags, who were only drowned out by the unwashed rich plunging quarters into slot machines like grain-fed zombies, who faded into a distant blur of TV static and dandruff as the majesty of flying through the Cascades at sunset opened the eye of my mind, where I was then rescued from the smog-choked airport at Midnight, by a brother, not of blood, who promised we’d sprint directly to Brouwer’s beer café, not stopping to wash faces or piss or drop off bags, who ordered pint after pint, surrounded by burbling masses, other out-of-staters escaping from their hostel-ed wife & child for an eve, who were hit on by an Amazonian 22-year old in heels long as a cow’s tongue, she of wasted persuasion and flushed flirting skill, who faded into the darkened curb and impression of a taxi when we homed in on the taco truck down the block, who was gleaming like an oracle and surrounded by unwashed(such as us), served up carnitas on paper plates, who steamed silently in the streetlight glare, dressed neatly with cilantro and radish, and consumed all thoughts, who made me ignore with a vacant mind the meathead, frost-tipped skater hitting on my girlfriend with reckless aplomb, who faded into the background while we sucked sustenance from soggy plates, scarfing down in four-bites each these tiny gems of meat, grain, spice, who lived on our fingertips and lips and breath while we rolled down the windows and glided northwards to collapse on couches and dream, travellers’ dreaming, floor snoozing with body pillows, we nestled on top like limp radishes gracing a taco.

Huh. I would expect that a place that is situated by a bunch of Fremont bars that they would have peak food right before or right after the«rush” – maybe even during the rush. I was at a wine event nearby, helping one of the sponsors, which meant that in addition to some event appetizers, I only had 3 tasters of wine over 5 hours – meaning I wasn’t even CLOSE to being buzzed. Although I don’t think even a heavy buzz would have helped me in overcoming what I put in my mouth last night: I looked at the menu, and decided to have a chicken burrito. Basic. Good for 1am, I thought. You know, filler, so you can fall asleep without hunger pains waking you at 4am. Instead, I had anger pains at 4am. 10 min after ordering, I was presented with a flour tortilla burrito, that had obviously been re-heated multiple times, the edges were SO hard, I spit out the food to see if I had gotten cardboard in my food. No. Seriously. I thought I had been given a recycled paper product. The rice was hard, flavorless, and dry(remember, this is right before ‘prime time’ for a taco truck in the bar scene) the raw onions were at the bottom of the burrito only. BLECH. For the second time in two minutes, I spit out something I thought for sure was a business card. But it was«chicken.» I have never been served chicken so bad, I couldn’t tell if it was organic, consumable material. $ 6 out of my pocket, and a jaw workout that I frankly didn’t need. I don’t CARE if I am begging for food following a night out. I don’t care if a bunch of orphans will receive new clothes if I eat another chicken burrito(well okay, you got me, how could I say no to orphans??) but let it be known, that sober or not, I won’t be back. Yikes. What are they DOING in that truck? Because it sure isn’t cooking up good food.

Umm, yes, I do want a $ 1.50 pork taco after having too much to drink on a Friday night… I must preface by saying that my only experiences at Flair have been between midnight-2:00am, so it is possible that my opinion is skewed. But, nonetheless, I am a fan! :) This food truck has been in Fremont since forever and the quality is always consistent and delicious. I will usually order a couple tacos with pork or chicken and am never dissatisfied. The meat is always juicy, radishes are crunchy and it goes down nice and quick. I’ve also tried their«mexican hot dog» that has a spicy queso sauce on top… to die for! CASHONLY establishment, but worth every penny!

Woohoo for food trucks! Seattle definitely needs more of these mobile restaurants around… Came here after a night at the Nectar Lounge. I wasn’t necessarily craving tacos but when I saw the truck, I immediately wanted one… or a few. I wasn’t sure how many to order so I asked the guy and he said that I could eat three… OK3 it is then! I ordered one beef, one al pastor and one carnitas… and my fave was the beef. I should’ve ordered all beef because I wasn’t a huge fan of the others, to be honest. They were cheap, too! $ 1.50 per taco and they were a decent size because I was pretty satisfied after 3. I’m sure an average eater could eat 3 – 5 for a meal. The bf ordered a burrito and said it wasn’t that great so I’d recommend ordering the beef tacos for those who are hungry or drunk or BOTH, after a night in Fremont!

First, full day in Seattle and I am ready to hit the town. It was such a pretty day, blue skies and the weather was warm(is this really the Seattle I have heard so much about?) Sitting at my aunt’s house, we cousins were put in charge of figuring out lunch. Cousin 1: Let’s get tacos. Cousin 2: Yeah, let’s get tacos. Cousin 3(me):(Looking on the Unilocal app) sure, tacos sound good. After realizing that I had not bookmarked a taco joint, I left it up to my cousin is to pick a place. Cousin 1 shouted lets go to the taco truck(which my aunt from LA looked at him sheepishly, she HATES food trucks period). Everyone else in the family seemed to like that idea. So off we went into the minivan(yes, I said it a freaking minivan! Can someone please pass me a drink! lol) It did not take us to long until we were in a parking lot looking at a taco truck with a small line of people waiting to order. Parking is tricky due to the lot being on the smaller side. Menu is simple, and the prices are not bad either(just make sure to bring cash because the truck does not accept any cards what so ever!) We all decided to order: — 18 tacos(pollo, pastor, asada, and carnitas) — Corn tortilla, cilantro, onions, and salsa. — 1 Mexican hot dog(my lunch) –Grilled bacon wrapped beef sausage, pimento cream cheese — 1 large Horchata — 3 waters –4 sodas The trucks owner was friendly and at times, I could tell a little overwhelmed with that large of an order. However, with the help of his cook, he was able to get our tacos and hot dog out pretty fast(around 10minutes or so). There are no tables or chairs to sit on. So we just stood around the parking lot enjoying our lunch. The carnitas taco was good. The meat was tender and juicy. There was tons of onions and cilantro which I do not really like, the salsa was pretty mild but mixed well with the flavors of the meat. Mexican hot dog was plump the pimento cream cheese was definitely different but gave the dog a spicy yet messy kick! Only beef I had was there was not enough bacon wrapped around the dog! I was surprised when my food truck snob of an Aunt said that her asada tacos were one of the best she has had in awhile. Fremont, you are an awesome town!!!
