Easily the best nightclub in seattle. Excellent sound, lights, brand new hd led panels all over club, super fire lasers, vip booths above crowd, very friendly staff including security, bartenders, owners, vip ect.
You will see the TOP artists in the EDM scene weds, fri and saturdays! USC events brings high name artists in for a cheap price. Artists that wouldnt be affordable at the same size establishment.
Ive been throwing my own electronic events for 4 years & highly reccomend this club to locals & visiters. Wont regret!!!

Awful awful place. The DJs are occasionally good but the club itself is honestly the worst. If you pay in advance for a ticket, you will wait in line for an insanely long time because the bouncers will wait until someone pays them off to let their group in. My friends and I were the second group in line and they held us there for FORTY minutes (after we already waited 30 minutes to get that close) because we wouldn’t bribe them. We missed an hour of the set we paid to see because of the scumbags they have working the door. And the 100 paying customers behind us had to wait that time too. The experience inside was a bit better (overpriced rum & cokes, meatheads who won’t leave you alone, etc) but the behavior of the staff left such a bitter taste in my mouth that I tell all of my friends to never go.

This place seems to be big on hosting events for EDM artists. So far, I’ve been here three times, for three different artists. In order, it was Paris Blohm, Gareth Emery, and Madeon that I saw between October 2015 and February 2016.
My biggest complaints about this place have to do with the layout of the venue. I also disliked the fact that it took them way too long to process people who were there for the event, because they only had two people on «pat-​down duty» (that’s what I call them, sue me), and one person scanning tickets — there was a massive bottleneck (and therefore a lineup down the block) of people waiting to get in.
First up, the placements of the structural supports. While they tried their best to make these «useful» by putting up monitors and speakers on all four sides of each one, they’re positioned in awkward locations such that they can block the flow of people trying to move into or out of the major throng of people closer to the stage, especially on the right and left sides (adjacent to the VIP areas).
This is mostly due to the bar they installed at the back-​right-​section of the venue (my second complaint, kind of), which was totally a great call (it’s less busy than the other two closer to the bathrooms) for those already at the back, but since people like to chill out around that area, it can get incredibly difficult to get to this bar if there’s a wall of people already dancing their faces off between the VIP entrance (which is almost always packed, or has traffic because of the people in the VIP area ordering a ton of food and drinks randomly throughout the night) and the rear bar area.
My third (and biggest) complain is the drink prices. I get that these places «have to make money», but $ 11 for Vodka & Red Bull, $ 10 for «buttery nipple» (mixed drink), and $ 7.5 for cider/​beer is *WAY TOO MUCH*. Even during their «happy hours» (before 10pm, I think? they might have changed it to «before midnight»), the specials they offer are so insignificant it makes it difficult to justify buying *any* kind of drink inside the venue. The sodas are $ 2.50, for a tiny barely-​bigger-​than-​a-​shot-​glass portion with way too much ice in it, the waterbottles are $ 7 (which is incredibly overpriced, if you can’t already tell), and the bottlenecks for service are ridiculous. Thankfully I didn’t pay cover, since I went for a ticketed event, however on non-​event nights, my guess is that the cover charge would be between $ 5 – 10.
Last complaint has to do with the stage location. While they «improved» it by moving it out to face the main column of people in the middle, they did a terrible job of opening up the venue to hosting more folks towards the front of the stage, closer to the speakers. There’s just not that much physical space there — and that’s *terrible*, because there will always be some number of people who stick around one area *the full night* (their friends always bring them the drinks so they don’t have to move, or «save their spot» while they visit the bathroom), so nobody else is able to move closer to the stage until that group leaves for the night. This punishes people who arrive later immensely, since there’s not enough physical space to house all of the people that want to hang out there.
That’s not to say there aren’t cool things about this venue. The lights and lasers, as well as the screen behind the DJ area on the stage are set up in such a way as to allow the DJ to mix up their act in significant ways. For example, I loved that Madeon never once needed to use the mic to rile up the crowd — everything could be done via lights, lasers, smoke machine, LED projections, or changes in the pace of the music. Emery /​Blohm required a lot more help from the crowd (they shouted into the microphone a bunch of times for no real reason), but then again, I don’t consider them to be as good as live artists, so it could be just the lack of experience with using the assets available in the venue.
Would definitely recommend coming here if a good artist is in town, but don’t see a reason not to come here on a random night, since there’s usually not that many people here (to clog up the area in front of the stage, anyhow) unless there’s a big artist here. I’m not the kind of person to go to an EDM club «randomly», however I could see myself coming back if an EDM artist I listen to is in town in the future.

First, the security guard said ticket sold out. We told him we are from other state, so he said he will see what he can do. We paid him $ 70 at door for 2 people to get in and he said the ticket is $ 45/​person, but after we get in, then lady said its 60/​person. We told her the guy said $ 45/​person, the lady said she doesn’t know why he keep saying $ 45, but its $ 60. We saw they have different price button on the screen, so basically we felt like rip off. But we cane all the way just for fun, so we just paid.
The point is the place wasn’t that crowded at all, so we are sure the guy just tried to make money at the door, so as the lady. That’s the only down side for the night.
We were ordering shot at the beginning, but then we order the vodka with orange juice and it’s a very good side than just the shot alone. The music is much better after the alcohol kicked in. We had fun that night.
The lady in the restroom is very nice. She was dancing in the restroom which is pretty funny too.
But we don’t think we would come back even it was fun because we don’t want to pay $ 190 for 2 people just to go clubbing. Total RIPOFF!!!

The club is one of the nicer clubs in Seattle. Word of caution though, BE VERY CAREFUL using your CREDIT CARD there. I was double billed not only once but on two different occasions. Had to dispute several duplicate transactions on my card. Makes me think something fishy is going on. Cash only if there’s a next time.

Ultra friendly staff, amazing management, and the best sound and djs you’ll find in Seattle. The GM Patrick is a fantastic guy and I owe him for letting me a couple times even though I showed up way late for guest list. I wasn’t going to go those nights because I was too late, but he took care of me and some friends anyway, which is something he didn’t have to do.
But it doesn’t stop there, when I’m warm and toasty in the face, the bartenders spot me water. When I’m up front on the dance floor, the bouncers are actually smiling and joining in on the fun. And when I’m up front, the staff is always up for a chat.
For a night out of dancing in Seattle, there is no better place.

This is definitely one of the best night clubs I visited. Ian was very friendly and we thank him for getting us in the guest list. The DJ and the lights were brilliant. Best customer service!

If you are on the guest list you get free entry before 10 pm which is cool, there is always a good line up of dj’s rocking EDM. Crowd was kinda sketchy, lot of really drunk guys just randomly walking in the crowd and stomping on our shoes. Blind mofos. Apart from that had a great time dancing the night away. I will be back (imagine Arnie voice)

If I could I would give foundation 0 stars. At first, service was decent. However for the first time k experienced what felt like racial profiling. The security and workers ID’d me as soon as me and my friends exited the building to just get fresh air for the GTA concert. It was crowded and I simply wanted to step out for a moment immediately, I was asked for my ID (along with my friends). When I asked why, they didn’t answer.
I persistently asked and they finally said «we caught you sneaking an underage female in». While I was confused I kept asking WHO? I asked for tape and even mentioned that it all felt like racial profiling (all-​white staff btw). From then on they yelled at me asking me to calm down when all I did was make a strong statement about how they were treating me. I tried to be polite in asking why and what proof they had – but they refused to show tape or explain proof to me clearly. All that came out of their mouths were accusations about how I let an underage girl in. For one, I would never try to sneak a friend in risking the fact that she wouldn’t get in. Second, I always thought security at Foundation was strict, another reason why I would never go out of my way to do that. It’s just not worth it. Yet, I suffered the consequences as if I did for some odd reason.
They repeatedly yelled at me when I tried to explain that I was in the club the entire time but wasn’t interested in what I had to say at all.
Foundation is full of white workers who feel they can discriminate. Whether it was intentional or not, the way they handled conflict was unprofessional. Please do not support this club.
I hope whoever was really to blame was found, because you had the wrong chick.

Foundation is one of the better clubs in Seattle. They mostly play EDM and is one of the venues for USC Events. Certain nights are better than others, it primarily depends on the DJs that are performing.

Great production with world class DJ’s coming in all the time. Limited dance floor and always packed for the popular DJ’s keep this from being a 5 star review, along with pricey drinks. But those are to be expected when you’re going out to clubs such as this.
Overall will definitely be back but only for certain artists.

Foundation is a 21+ nightclub located in Belltown and only plays EDM since they are partnered with USC Events. I have been here three times already: My first time was for Project 46 on a Saturday (before the renovation), second time for Cedric Gervais on a Friday, and third time for marshmello on a Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Those are the days the club is typically open during the week, and I had fun every time I went!
I remember before the renovation, the light show and visuals were okay. Now they are spectacular! The sound system is amazing also, you can definitely feel the bass from the music. I know many people have a problem with the crowd and space, but I didn’t see too much of a problem with it. I normally stand on the left side by the booth and still have a good amount of space around me. A lot of the workers do pass by here though so I see why not a lot of people stand there… Oh well.
The line to get in can be ridiculously long though and the wait can take a while even if you purchased a ticket beforehand (which is cheaper than buying at the door. They’re normally sold in tiers). I actually still don’t know which line is which. I remember my friend told me the bouncer didn’t believe the ID she provided was hers… I know she changed a lot from her ID photo but they still didn’t believe her when she said all of the info on the card. The line to get into the bathroom can be ridiculously long also, there are only three open stalls, but they do provide certain toiletries like hair spray and candy. They have a big mirror also.
Overall I love this club! I’ll only come here if I know the DJ. I like how you can take a picture with the DJ after the show also but I think they limit it to a certain number of people or time. Everyone I meet here is always so friendly and happy. Definitely coming back when an occasion calls for it.

Venue is nice, and the space is decent for a club. Love the production! However, the floors were really dirty and sticky.
What motivated me to write this review was one of the staff in particular working in front. My boyfriend asked a simple question and she glared at him and responded so rudely. She got mad because he asked if she wanted to scan his tickets and she just snapped at him. You might want to work on your customer service skills. Especially when the customer is just offering to be more efficient and making your job easier.
It was also weird because my friend had a passport but they were not about to let her in. Last time I checked, passports were a legitimate form of identification…

I really liked the layout of this place because anywhere you stand is easy to see the stage but there are things I wasn’t a huge fan of.
I was charged two different prices for the same drink ($ 8 and $ 11). The drinks were made very strong so I went back to the bartender to get some more soda to dilute the alcohol and he said it’s why they cost so much. I’m not sure about that because I payed $ 3 less at the bar near the door.
The other thing is that there is nowhere to sit down unless you bought vip. My girlfriend started feeling sick halfway through the set because there was nowhere to sit.

Foundation is partnered with USC Events so it is all EDM here. Trap, progressive, house, any EDM you name, it’s here. What is cool is that occasionally big DJ’s do sometimes appear here and if not, lower key known DJ’s will also play here. This is probably one of the only clubs in Seattle that makes you buy a ticket online before hand, but I guess it is to get a more accurate estimate of how pack the party will be so they can be more prepared so props. Sometimes you can just show up and pay cover right then and there depending on how popular the night is, but 1. It will be more expensive and 2. Sometimes there might not even be an available spot 3. You will have to stand in a longer line if there is an available spot so it is just easier to get your ticket before showing up.
The bouncers here has always been cool and professional. The bathrooms has all the little extras added in like candy, hairspray, perfume, and other random things that a girl might need. The crowd is ummm interesting, it isn’t the typical young to mid 20’s crowd that I am used to, but if there is a great DJ playing and I am with an awesome group of friends, I don’t even care because I am not at the club to meet new people anyways, I am there to have a good time with great company along with great music.
Wednesday, there is usually a free cover charge before 11 if you put yourself on the guestlist. On Summer nights, it does surprisingly get packed on a weeknight which is awesome to be able to still party on a Wednesday. I was impressed with the line going on outside the venue. The only downside is that it’s in Belltown where I don’t usually hang out at so unless there is a specific DJ that we want to see, I usually don’t make my way here much.

I was pretty disappointed by this place. It could have been a combination of different factors, and multiple people said there was a large EDM concert in town this night. That may have been the reason that the club was D-​E-​A-​D on a Friday night. But I digress.
Evidently Seattle turns from posh district to The hood within a few blocks. While I wouldn’t say this is in the thick of the slums, we walked over from the Convention district and you can tell where things start to change. There’s a large hill you have to go down which has graffiti on it and feels unsafe. Then you turn the corner and all of a sudden you’re in the club? It is aptly named though-it’s on the basement of the building.
It’s not a large place. The bouncers are your typical Jason Statham looking guys wearing black and bald with earpieces. I ended up third wheeling awkwardly with a friend and the man friend she had chosen for the evening. Since they were clinging to each other I decided to pull back a bit. When we got inside I saw how dead it was-​and how many guys there are.
Since I knew I was going to be awkwardly third wheeling I decided to stay close yet try to find a decent human to dance with. Yet none were to be found. The ratio of males was about ⁸⁰⁄₂₀ and maybe 2 were taller than me in heels (NOT tall at all). Not that I was looking to land a man-​but ladies, if you are, this would not be the place to do so.
I ended up making friends with a bachelorette party and hanging out with them for a good hour and dancing with them until I realized my friends had rudely bailed. Thankfully one of the girls’ fiancés (not the bride) offered to wait with me for my Über while I angrily called and texted away. That being said, it was 1:20 when I left and it was even more dead than when I got there. On a Friday night in a supposedly hot club. I get that it was likely a bad night, but this was not a good intro to the Seattle club experience for me.

I have a deep love/​hate relationship with Foundation, and despite multiple assurances to myself and close friends that I would never go again, I find myself there far too frequently for one reason only: the music. Foundi consistently brings top-​quality DJs at reasonably affordable prices to this club and sometimes, you can’t pass that up. In every other instance though, stay away from this place.
The drinks are laughably expensive – $ 8 for a shitty, weak well, $ 6 for their cheapest bottle of beer. Nothing against the bartenders who are usually competent if a bit aloof, and security deserves mention here for always being polite and efficient.
Despite having a good sound system and lights set-​up, the stage is in a terrible location in the club, with 2 bars flanking the dancefloor causing constant traffic around the perimeter of the often-​packed dancefloor. This causes bottlenecks and wanton booty-​grabbing from passerby and being jostled while I’m trying to dance is not my idea of a good time.
The crowd varies from show to show, but most of the time is downright terrible; a collection of about 70% prowling, aggressive douchebaggy males, 20% high-​heel wearing, selfie-​taking females (neither of whom seem to have come for the music, or even know who the DJ is most of the time), and 10% or less actual concert-​goers, helplessly sprinkled throughout the crowd trying to carve out enough elbow room to get a reasonable groove on. There’s a dress code, too: at a minimum, pants and a t-​shirt and no ball-​caps for men, which translates to dancing in jeans, an unpleasantly warm experience. Perhaps this is why the majority of the crowd there prefers standing awkwardly, $ 12 vodka/​red bull in hand, leering at mini-​skirted asses and sneaking armpit sniffs to ensure the extra layer of Axe liberally applied hours prior is still doing its job.
If one could somehow flip the percentages of bros/​hoes and electronic music lovers, the rest of this club’s transgressions could be forgiven. As it stands, it almost seems like Foundation is actively attempting to create an atmosphere that discourages dancing: restrictive clothing, poor lay-​out, drinks too expensive for the awkward to forget themselves, and only a few people actually dancing does not for an inviting atmosphere make. If your favorite artist is playing here, pre-​game, go with friends and carve out some space on the dancefloor. Otherwise, go elsewhere for your dancing needs.

I got VIP access to the Cove for Madeon, which had the best view in the house. There was only one private bathroom for over 30 people, but it beats waiting in a long line for the public bathrooms in the main area. VIP access also came with unlimited vodka, cranberry, redbull and orange juice as well as water. identical to what you would get at the Parlor in Bellevue with bottle service.
There’s only 2 couches in the area to put your stuff on. Definitely worth the money for the view and having space as well as free drinks and water.
