Description

Specialties

Fuzzy Buddy’s specializes in dog daycare and training for the dogs of Seattle. We are committed to providing dog care centered on compassion, respect, and up-to-date knowledge about how dogs think and learn.

History

Established in 1998.

Fuzzy Buddy’s was the first dog daycare in Seattle, started by Barb Sanderson in the Greenwood neighborhood. In 2003, Fuzzy Buddy’s moved to its current location on Aurora next to the cemetery. After two other owners had come and gone, Dana Mongillo, a dog trainer and professional dog walker, bought the business in 2005. Her goal was to bring her dog training expertise to the dog daycare setting, and build a daycare that other dog trainers could feel comfortable referring to. Fuzzy Buddy’s remains different from other area dog daycares in the longevity of the staff, the dog training skills the staff receives, and in our strong commitment to positive reinforcement-based dog handling.
