Established in 2009.

Gadget Fix is a multi-location repair shop owned and operated by Zach Bethke and Wes Poritz. Zach began providing Verizon wireless services to the Bozeman area in 2001, and in 2012 sold his business, Bling Wireless, to a larger regional chain. In 2009, Zach also opened a repair shop as part of a national franchise. In 2012, Zach left that franchise to develop his own repair chain, Gadget Fix.

Gotta say, I’m pretty pleased by my electronic adventure today. My Xbox One’s disc drive started making some noises and wouldn’t eject my game the night before so I resolved to get it fixed the next day. After a bit of searching I found a few different places but chose these guys. I don’t live too far away so it turned put to be a quick drive. Brought my system in and left it there with Barry. The dude was pretty honest and straight forward. Told me a bit about his experience with systems, said he would do what he could and give me a call when he found out what was going on. My experience with other electronics stores came in to play here and I assumed I would be getting a call tomorrow updating me on what was going on, then another few days, maybe a week before my system was fixed, but surprise they called me a few hours later, told me what was up and gave me a few options on how to proceed.
My experience with Gadgetfix was pretty good. Honest guy, good speedy work and decent prices. I was expecting to spend 100+ but came out of there spending significantly less. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. I think I have found my electronics repair guys.

These nice, wonderful gentlemen are amazing, Awhile back my phone got run over (don’t ask) the guys over at Verizon sent me to Gaget Fix and they fix it up all nice. Then I found my camera in my I-phone would only take selfies. I went back to Gaget Fix and they fixed it. Recently made a trip back to Gaget Fix as I thought my back screen was broken. I went in and they checked it out. Somehow my back screen had come loose. They fixed it up all nice and you know they did not charge me for that. GAGET FIX thank you so much. You guys are amazing,. BTW I have referred several people to your store and everyone is quite happy with the work you do. I even broke down and got a head set for my I-Phone

I got my cracked iPhone screen replaced at the Bozeman store over thanksgiving, and the glue recently started to fail causing the screen to detach at the edges. Brought my phone here on Sunday and they replaced it in under 30 minutes for free with the 6 month warranty.
Easy, fast, friendly, free, what more could I want?

I own Spa Noir up the street and these guys saved our day! Our computer was having challenges and we needed help FAST. These guys saved the day. They fixed the problem fast, and walked us through setting up some new equipment that we did not even purchase through them.
I have to say, I’m not tech savvy. At all. These guys were helpful and patient, never condescending towards me, which could understandably be tempting.

These gents will earn your business. First, they were the only ones (out of 4 business contacted) to respond to my inquiry. Second, they were very generous with their time and effort trying to fix a fried Wii balance board I bought used. Third, when they couldn’t repair it completely, they offered me a refund. They even offered to recycle it for me. This is my go-to spot for electronics repair from now on.

Let me just start by saying, I don’t ever do reviews. If I do, it is because I had one of experiences that compelled me to do so. This is one of those times. I had known about this place because I live a couple of blocks away but never really needed their services til now. I was recently out of town on a trip and broke my iPhone screen while on a jog. I called them and told them I would stop by and talk about getting my screen replaced upon my return to Seattle. Anyhow, I stopped in this morning and worked with a gentleman by the name of Zach. He was professional and courteous and went above and beyond in ensuring I was taken care of. I dropped off my phone and within 10 – 15 minutes, my phone was like new again. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone in need of getting their phone repaired.

My husband and I have now been in 3 times total. We found out about this place from a friend. Friend referrals are the best! First time, my Nexus 5 phone wasn’t getting cell signal but bluetooth and wifi were working fine. The guys were able to take a look, swapped out the antenna but weren’t able to fix it. They didn’t charge me a dime for the time spent on the troubleshooting. I ended up getting it fixed by LG. After that visit, my husband got a quote for having his Macbook screen pixels repaired/replaced. It was a lot cheaper than the Apple store so he brought his laptop in to have it repaired. Recently, I was in again to replace the screen of another Nexus 5 for my parents. The manufacturer price is $ 150 and that was the same fee that was charged to me, except it only took 30 minutes and I didn’t need to deal with the hassle of mailing. Apparently they have a punch card too even though the employee weren’t able to find them.
I highly recommend stopping by Gadget Fix if you have any phones, laptops, gadgets to be fixed, at least to get a quote.

Don’t go here to get your screen fixed. My screen was shattered so I took it here to get it fixed. They charge $ 100, which is competitive, and they are conveniently located in a nice store. However, the screen the put on popped off on one corner within six weeks. I travel to NY a lot for work, so by the time I was able to bring it in it had been with me in the heat of the city for over a week, however functionality wise, it worked fine. They say they have a 90 day warrantee, so I wasn’t worried, obviously this want my fault.
I took it in to get fixed and as I left I heard the repair man behind the wall say ‘is she really still in warranty’ with an annoyed voice. When I went back to pick it up they said they wouldn’t give me the warrantee because there is moisture in the phone, which is probably why it broke. I’m sorry… I’ve never heard of moisture making a screen pop off. Not to mention, it most certainly didn’t get wet, so the only moisture would have been basic east coast humidity. The only way this would cause damage to the phone is because the screen was already off.
They offered to give me a screen at cost ($ 50) which they wouldn’t have done if they had really thought that I’d dunked my phone in a toilet or something. They just didn’t want to hold up their end of the bargain, so I basically paid $ 100 for a screen that fell off and now causes distortions to the display. Save yourself some hassle and go somewhere else.

Great experience. Took a bit longer to fix than they estimated, only because they made sure to diagnose the problem accurately; it turned out to not be what I thought, nor what they thought at first, but a third problem entirely.
Their technician kept me informed throughout (I waited there). They were professional and helpful to everyone who came in the door.

I revised this review to 3 stars from 5 stars because I noticed a small scratch on the back of my phone after it was returned to me. It has always been in a case since day one. I looked the phone over closely after I removed it from its case and also put it in a sandwich bag to keep it safe, but the Gadget Fix technician refused to take the bag along with the phone. If you can’t ensure the phone won’t get scratched, you should probably accept the customer’s plastic bag. I ordered an original replacement back cover through eBay for $ 5 and will bump this review up to 4 stars if I can remedy the issue without too much hassle. I still really like Gadget Fix.

Gadget Fix’s prices are right at or slightly below competitors and they appear to use better parts and have better customer service (more willing to fix issues under their own warranty) than others I’ve used. They also validate parking in the Via6 garage.
I have a spare iPhone that had its battery replaced at another shop. It would charge to 100% and then start declining while still plugged in. The other shop gave me a bunch of pushback but finally «replaced» the battery. But the same problem persisted. Gadget Fix dropped in a new battery for $ 20 and the problem was solved. Quality parts, great service, fair price and a 6 month warranty.
The same phone had its lock button go out. Gadget Fix got it working again but once repaired the button was too recessed to work with the phone’s protective case. They took it apart again and adjusted it. Now it works as it did when new.

These guys are honest and professional. They’re now my go-to place for phone repairs.
When I broke the back cover on my Sony Xperia Z3, they responded to my online request for a quote within an hour (which was way lower than I expected!). When the new cover arrived, I brought my phone in and they repaired it while I ran a few errands downtown. The final price was just as they quoted, everything looked great.
However, I noticed later that my camera stopped focusing at distance. I called them up, they told me it might be a defective part. I brought it in, they replaced the defective cover with a temporary «donor» cover from a used Z3 (just to keep my camera sealed up while they ordered a new part). Didn’t charge anything.
Since that solved my camera problem (and I don’t mind a few cosmetic flaws), they let me keep the «donor» cover in lieu of ordering up a new cover AND refunded me half the original repair cost. I think they might have lost money (?), considering the extra labor. Just shows that they’re committed to making everything right.

Truth: when I first found out this place charged $ 160 for an iPhone 6 screen replacement while Apple charged $ 109 for an iPhone 6 screen replacement, I was super skeptical.
.However, when Apple refused to help me (unless you consider a $ 299 phone replacement helpful), I decided to send these guys an email to see what could be done. Apple told me that my iPhone’s shattered screen was «maybe» beyond repair because the phone itself was «very slightly bent». Now, I wasn’t sure if that was a real/unsolvable problem or if Apple merely wanted me to buy a new iPhone.
GadgetFix emailed me back explaining that the «slight bend» in the phone shouldn’t be an issue; it may just take longer to fix if it is very bent. That sounded good to me, especially for a bend I could not even detect.
I decided to take my phone into GF after work one day. It’s worth noting that they are located in the Via 6 building and validate garage parking (that in and of itself is amazing). I got in around 5 and was seen right away-no hassle, no dopey Apple guy balancing my iPhone on a table to look for a bend.
20 – 25 minutes later, voila! My iPhone 6 was back to life and looking better than ever. It’s such a relief that there are alternative solutions when issues arise; when I was at Apple, I felt like nobody had my best interest at heart, but at GF I felt totally taken care of. Plus, they have a dog.

This is simply the best experience I have had with any type of fix it place.
My boss had a broken Surface Pro 3 and although it was new Microsoft refused to fix it. Took it to these guys and they are beyond diligent in making sure 1) they order the correct parts 2) they can fix it before giving false hope 3) quoting appropriate timelines and fees.
I had a mobile place fix my iPad screen a year ago and I’m sad to say it was a bad experience with crappy work. I wish this place was around then.
These guys are experienced and I have no worries about leaving my bosses device in their capable hands.
They are knowledgable and I’m shocked at the awesome customer service. To be honest it’s what customer service should be everywhere but you don’t ever get anywhere.
They validate your parking for the lot underneath and they also have cases for devices that I couldn’t find anywhere else.
Next to none.
Plus they have a dog in house. Anyone who allows dogs at the work place also gets bonus points. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

I dropped my iPhone 6 and cracked the screen. I was traveling the following day, so did not have time to go the Apple store and get it repaired. Given the proximity to my office, I called Gadget Fix and the screen was replaced within 30 minutes. Later in the day the tech called me that the screws at the bottom of the phone had been inadvertently left out and placed them back in. No problem — this type of stuff happens but the tech was courteous and proactive to call, a plus. The screen came with a warranty and I had a number of issues with — the first screen had a couple of dead pixels, I took it back in and they replaced it since it was in warranty. The second screen did not fit tightly in the phone, I took it back and got it replaced. No questions asked. In the third screen a couple of keys weren’t working, I took it back and finally asked if I could refunded — given the number of issues that had occurred and I figured I could get it fixed at the Apple store. The owner was gracious and agreed. It turned out the store got a set of questionable parts from their supplier and hence the number of issues were encountered.
A situation like this can be really annoying for the customer. I am still giving the place 4 stars, because everyone I spoke with was professional and forthcoming. They stood behind their product and were willing to do what was right for the customer. Will definitely go back in case I need an accessory or something else.

I foolishly dropped my brand new Galaxy Note 4, and became one of «those» people, walking around with a shattered screen. A fix was needed. Several local places told me they would not work on the Note 4, but a friend referred me here, and they were more than willing to do the repairs. They ordered the new screen in advance, and got me in when promised.
The tech unfortunately mistakenly damaged my phone during the repairs. People are human, these things happen. They were extremely apologetic, gave me a loaner phone while mine went through the additional repairs, and did everything they could to make things right. Isn’t it when an accident like this happens a true test of how good a business is?
In the end, these are very professional guys, and the repair is absolutely perfect, good as the day I bought it. Highly recommended.
