History

Established in 1978.

Gopher Construction Company was founded in 1972 as a family owned repair and remodel company. By 1978, James Jacobs and his Sons expanded their business, after two sons acquired their plumbing licenses, and opened «Jake the Plumber». Soon after, they expanded once again and became a full-​service side sewer, residential, and commercial plumbing Company, serving King and Snohomish Counties. In 1999, the family sold «Jake the Plumber» and James Jacobs semi-​retired. Since that time, Gopher Construction had continued to bring superior quality construction services to the Northwest.

In 2005, after working as a supervisor/​estimator for large local plumbing company, son, Mark Jacobs, made a decision to carry on the families plumbing side of the business. Subsequently they revived the side sewer business and committed to pursuing the vision of serving King and Snohomish Counties with exceptional quality construction and plumbing services. Today, Mark Jacobs, as a licensed contractor and journeyman plumber with over 30 years of experience, continues the family business and is committed to pursuing the vision of serving King and Snohomish counties with exceptional quality construction and plumbing services.
