Grace Church

I visited this church for the first time this morning. What an amazing place, full of amazing people. I was welcomed by so many people, it was awesome. They were all very warm and unobtrusive. No one was pushy at all, but they recognized me as a new face and introduced themselves.
The church body is made up of people of all races and ages and seems to embrace everyone equally. The worship service started at 10:30 am and continued until almost noon. Afterwards, everyone was invited to fellowship and lunch in the foyer. Who ever said there’s no such thing as a free lunch.
The worship service included modern worship music led by a gifted worship band team, taking communion, and an entirely bible-​based and inspirational message by the pastor.
It was also explained to me that rather than traditional «Sunday School» that I have grown accustomed too, they have a school of theology where different classes are offered at 9:00 am on Sunday mornings covering a myriad of biblical topics. They also have weekly small group meetings at church members’ homes, which are entirely voluntary of course.
Finally, when they passed the plate, they didn’t even hand it to me as they recognized me as someone who was new to the church. That alone made quite a mark. They offered me the communion, but didn’t beg me to fill the coffers.
I will definitely return. As as side note, they do have a wonderfully prepared website which is full of information. They also post audio of the weekly sermons, so you could see for yourself what kind of bible-​preaching is going on.
