Happy Hauler

They picked up a load of remodeling debris for us – one day turnaround, excellent customer service, and the guys who came with the truck were great! The left the pile site super clean. Recommend highly!
Edited to add that my bank flagged this for a questionable charge BECAUSE OF THE NAME. To me, this is a bonus. I laughed and laughed.

Prompt, friendly and efficient. I’ve used them for years and only trust them for rubbish removal.

Prompt, courteous, on time as promised, good communication.
Chose them because they were listed on the Seattle City Light website.

I spoke with Peter at Happy Hauler and he told me that he would call me between 2pm and 6pm today. He said he had a full day, but if I was willing to sit at home and wait for his call/​crew, he would make sure to come and pick our stuff up. We talked through what items I had and I agreed to pay the driver cash on the spot.
At about 5:30pm, I get another call from Peter telling me he isn’t coming. He’s not able to do anything until Tuesday. This is Saturday. The front of my house is covered in junk that I have hauled out, as well as stuff that my neighbor is throwing away after I urged him to.
Basically, the value prop of this business is that they save you time. I could have easily taken all of these items to the dump myself in the time I have spent waiting for Peter and his crew to show up. I guess I should have. It is clear to me that they don’t meet their commitments and don’t care. By offering Tuesday after I spent this Saturday at home, Peter has shown that he cares nothing for wasting his customers’ time and doesn’t even feel obligated to have a solution that can work for his customers. See other reviews where they similarly fail to show or care.
Seems like a value if you are lucky enough to have it work out. Otherwise, enormous waste of your time and «bait and switch» business practice.

Pretty good guys. Quick, clean, professional junk service. Just gave them a call, their dispatcher set up an appointment, and they picked up my junk. They basically cleaned out my attic, they can haul anything from anywhere, no matter the accessibility (my attic is a pain, so kudos, guys). Less expensive than the bigger companies too.

I called Happy Hauler to schedule a pick up after cleaning out my garage. I called around and got a couple quotes by phone. They were on time, gave me a fair price & were loaded up and finished in no time. I would use them again.

DONT USE THEM! DANGER!!! DANGER!!! — We were moving so we asked «Happy» Haulers to move some of our house hold items. The owner was driving one of their trucks when hit/​side swiped my parked car, hitting the left rear driver side!!! A neighbor witnessed the accident. At the time they did own the fact that they hit my car. (Hard not too!!!) but have ignored my emails, will not respond or return calls.
I have sent numerous emails, with repair quotes, and have made multiple phone calls for the owner to call me back… NOTHING!
I will now be forced to get an attorney, (which I do not want to do) but they have not responded, will not return emails and have done nothing to correct their mistake. Warning — I would go someplace else… or put your car in your garage so they don’t hit it!

Happy Hauler is slightly more expensive than other hauling companies in town, but they shovel up dirts & barks.
Driver agreed to shovel up dirt along with barks, but didn’t see much soil in the back of his truck. Driver just said it’s too hard to get at the soil due to all of pre-​existing roots in the ground.
Little bit dissapointed in their performance, but using Happy Hauler was better than nothing.

I’m giving them 2 stars because I want to give them the benefit of the doubt (and because the women I spoke with were very polite), but I pretty much wasted 6 hours today waiting for them to show. I had scheduled online last night. I was expecting a call this morning informing me whether or not they could come at my scheduled time: between 11 & 12:30…I did note that I could be flexible on the time, btw.
No call by 11:15, so I called them. I was told they should be able to make it between 1 & 4. I said fine. I could deal with that.
At 5:45, I called to see if they were still coming. I was informed that, since I’d said I was flexible on time, they would get to me eventually today.
At 7pm, I got a call stating that they couldn’t make it after all…
I get it, they were busy. Jobs sometimes take longer than expected. What got me, though, was that they didn’t offer to pick up early the next day, but rather they wanted to schedule a pick-​up for two days out. This is after I spent SIX HOURS in my apt waiting for them to call. My other option was for them to put me on the schedule for tomorrow, but no guarantee of when they would get to me. I told them no thank you, and I scheduled a pick up with another company.
Again, the people I spoke to at Happy Haulers were very nice, and I know that sometimes things don’t go according to schedule, but I could have been doing something other than waiting for the phone to ring, so I could let them in to my apartment… for six hours.

Yep we moved again and this time into a house with LOTS of junk (old cleaner, paint cans, junky oven, and so on) plus had some of our own stuff (boxes and a mattress) to get rid of. Once again Happy Haulers pulled through. Hard workers and a reasonable price. Hopefully I don’t need to call again for awhile, but when the time comes they’ll be the ones I call.

Happy Hauler did a great job hauling away my huge yard waste pile. I was considering renting a truck and hauling the pile myself, but I decided to get a quote from Happy Hauler first. Their staff was a pleasure to deal with from the time I scheduled the quote to the time they finished the haul, and I will definitely be using them again for future jobs.

This is a great business. Vanessa, Theresa, Phil and the crew are great with their customer services skills. They have removed many items from several homes I own and were efficient, courteous and very professional. They donated what they could and hauled the rest. I will continue to use this business for all my hauling and removal needs. You should give them a call!!!

Great customer service over the phone with Theresa and quick friendly service from the driver and his helper once they came and hauled away my junk. Super fast and pro!
