They are closed! Vios Café will be opening up in the back after the Third Place remodel is done this fall. The Lake Forest Park location is still open, but that one isn’t within walking distance from my apartment. Blast.

mmmm I luvz my BLTA(Bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado) ask for the Fresca bread it’s awesome. The chips are not that great that come with the meal but that’s not the main attraction, The bacon! it’s is pure delicious. They have a pot pie that is good but it lacked gravy and was more of a meat pie that was sweet tasting. I never got to the desserts in the bakery but overall good place to eat and then wander over to the magazine rack when waiting for your order to be up provided by third place books

The sandwiches are well-made and delicious, and the coffees are definitely good. A nice lunch spot.

Carmelized bacon. Do you *really* need to know anything else? Fine. The carmelized bacon is loaded — and I mean loaded — into a creation called the BLTA, which is just a BLT with avocado(also known as fruit of the gods — don’t look that up, I have no idea if it’s really fruit of the gods, but it’s one of my favorite foods). There is something like 8 full sized folded over slices of carmelized bacon in this sandwich and I have been asked, quite seriously, if I wanted a time-out so I could make out with the bacon. I considered it. Cookies are enormous and that perfect balance between crunchy and chewy. Salad is fresh and good. The sandwiches come with a terrific hummus dip and fresh veggie sticks. The only thing I can’t wholeheartedly recommend is their coffee. It’s passable but bland. I love the bakery in a bookstore AND pub concept and make it a point to get something every time I go to Third Place. Since I’m a book collecting addict, that’s often. What.

There’s about 10 tables, and 8 bar-type seating spots facing a huge corner window and sunny traffic. They have a nice wood-burning fireplace with big comfy seats where you can enjoy a good read whilst(I’ve been meaning to use that word in a review) you enjoy your coffee. Makes the place feel cozy. WIFI! I read in one of the reviews that there would only be WIFI on weekends and you had to ask for a password, but this is not the case anymore. WIFI is free, and available during open business hours. Just log into linksys. The café offers hot foods and cold foods; they have breakfast, lunch and dinner. I’ve only had coffee. The prices are pretty reasonable, and the place doesn’t fill up with«stinky» food smell. The omelets smelled great!

The Honey Bear earns big points for being a part of Ravenna Third Place Books — best bookstore/bakery combo ever. Cool tables, a nice staff, good food(I had the veggie sandwhich and potato salad), good drinks, free wi-fi, a fireplace, comfy couches, and a rack of magazines to peruse while you eat. What more could you ask for?

The younger(and smaller) sister to the Honey Bear Bakery in Lake Forest Park, this version is cozy with a fireplace and great sofas to relax into. Located in the back of Ravenna Third Place Books, they serve a small menu of sandwiches, soup and sweets with espresso to chase them down. I actually like this location better even though it can get crowded at times. The big picture window in the corner lets in sunshine(when its there) and the tables allow for small or large groups to meet there comfortably.
