Third time in, really like the place. Small, crowded during lunch, but great good, good service, a bit pricey — but most seem to be that way. The French dip is awesome I must admit. Best au jus anywhere. Try it!

I’ve been here one before for brunch and was impressed not only by the general feeling of people enjoying themselves, despite being packed in here, and by the delicious food and cocktails. The drip coffee available while we waited to sit was life-saving and tasty, and I was so delighted by my veggie fried«steak» — homemade and YUM. I basically came back and had the same thing for dinner, with another delicious cocktail and good table service(with less of a crowd.) YES.

This place was great! Came here on a Monday night while waiting for my tires to get put on at Costco! They ran out of baileys so he went out and got some. They had no decaf coffee brewed but made some fresh for us! Friendly wait staff, timely service. Overall great experience

Kinda bummed out about this. There was only one server/bartender to take care of the whole restaurant. It was 8:30 am on a Friday. We asked for two of their bloody Mary’ and told she was the only person working and we would have to wait till another person came in because she was by her self. It was rude and would have just said yes we are busy it will be a bit. But the flat out no is unacceptable. Our order wasn’t taken for about 25 minutes, And the food was less than stellar. After awhile she did come back and ask us if we still wanted the bloody Mary’s, we declined. I ordered the beef brisket omelette and my friend ordered the federal a scramble. Our English muffins were barley toasted. The brisket was tough and the combination doesn’t really blend well. It was difficult to eat. We were never once asked how our food was. I know the place was busy but you should never sacrifice service and quality.

Great staff, delicious food. Get there early for breakfast, it gets busy! The chicken fried steak is perfectly crispy, with amazing gravy. The Monte Cristo is equally amazing. Delicious!

Stopped in for a quick breakfast. Really great food but pretty bad service. Once I was seated no one served me water, I had to wait a while before anyone took my order. The table next to mine ordered after me, but got their food first?! I had to track down some hot sauce and ketchup for the table… just bad service. Next time I’m ordering my food to go!

If no stars were an option i would of done that. My husband&i went for lunch there and never again will i go back. It was not busy at all to begin with. Our waitress went to greet two other tables before coming to us when we had gotten there before them. So thats where she messed up to begin with. We got the bacon chesse fries to start. The bacon was overcooked and burnt. The fries were way too salty. My husband got a burger and i got the prawn tacos. The chips it came with were so stale. The burger was soggy and falling apart. Then my salsa had a blue rubber band in it! I immedialy told my waiteress and it didint even seem like she cared she just took my salsa and gave me a new one like nothing. Not ohkay!!! She didint even check on us because she was way too busy with everyone else!

I love the atmosphere and menu here, but I’m done with the hit and miss service. They don’t post a «seat yourself» or «please wait to be seated» sign, and frequently when you arrive, the staff completely ignores you. For a long time. This last time we had been waiting for 20 minutes for two seats to open up, with zero acknowledgement of any kind from any of the staff(they all saw us); and a couple blows in and swoops in on two recently vacated seats. Unacceptable. Establish a service protocol or continue to lose customers.

This place is phenomenal. I always get the breakfast tacos which are my favorite breakfast I’ve tried in Seattle. The service is fast, competent and friendly. I got a bloody mary once and I probably won’t be doing that again. While that wasn’t necessarily in my top five by any means, I understand that every menu item at every restaurant can’t suit my tastes precisely… and other people seem to love them so I might just be wrong ;) This is definitely a five star establishment in my book.

Omg… This is not a review of the food. Because I have been sitting here for over an hour! And still no food. They are no longer that busy cause everyone else has eaten and left. Dear management, if you are reading this, can you please tell me how much longer it will be? I am likely still sitting in your restaurant waiting for food.

I love this place! I ordered the bacon cheese fries and was expecting the typical tiny bacon bits and sad, melted cheese. Nope. The bacon came out in awesome, large chunks. The cheese sauce was a cheesy bechamel unlike any sauce I’ve had before. The fries? Perfect. Really sweet interior. The round bar is really fun. It’s a little out of the way but definitely stop by if you’re in the area!

I came here for brunch yesterday with my girlfriends. I had bookmarked this spot earlier in the month so it was nice that my friend chose to eat here. I’m assuming it was the chicken fried steak that got her. Wait here wasn’t bad at all especially since there was a couple parties before us when we got there but I think we were seated within 10 minutes? Both of my girlfriends ordered the chicken fried steak and I ordered the brisket omelet with a Bloody Mary. I really thought my Bloody Mary was accompany with a small cup of apple juice but it turned it to be beer haha(sort of a cute touch). My brisket omelet was so delicious and yummy! I’m really glad that I got that instead of the CFS. Portions were huge and I only got through half of my meal before entering a mild food coma. The Bloody Mary was also good as well. It definitely had a kick to it but it wasn’t too spicy that I couldn’t enjoy it. I only wish that they had garnished it with something else because I’m not a big fan of olive and it made me feel bad I just left it in the cup. I usually eat all the garnishes on other Bloody Mary. Overall, I left with a pretty good first impression and I’m already thinking about coming back. The only thing I was kind of «meh» about was it being next to a morgue lol. But, I mean it’s all about aesthetic right? Haha.

This place is pretty darn sweet! Small with a biker/bad @ss feel and some of the best customer service I’ve had in a while. I ordered the Breakfast Tacos with a side of Ranchero sauce as recommended by our server and the BF ordered the Country Fried Steak with a Bloody Mary. The Breakfast Taco is a lovely mash up of scrambled eggs, seasoned sausage and chedda rolled in a crisp flour tortilla topped with sour cream and green onions. I smothered the tacos with the house made ranchero sauce. I paired each bite with their super crispy hash browns and savored every bite. So good! The BF’s Bloody Mary was served with a side of PBR. Aaaa-Maz-ING!!! The second best Bloody Mary to date!(Suggest drinking the Bloody Mary half down and pouring the PBR in to add a little fizz to your cocktail.) the chicken fried steak was massive in size and topped with white gravy. The chicken fried steak was crispy and fillMy only complaint is that I would have loved to have more gravy. The country biscuit was incredible… again more gravy would have made it that much better. All around great brunch spot!!! Oh and brunch is served till 3pm!

Good Lord, this place rocks! Why you ask? 1) Food 2) Drink 3) Service 1) Food, aka Heaven In Your Mouth Dish– cheese fries Think of the most tasty cheese sauce you can imagine. Got it? Okay, now make it twice as good in your mind. This is the cheese sauce on the cheese fries. It’s not just melted cheese(which I am totally cool with), it’s some magic that really pops with the fries and bacon. I got a dish to «share.» Buwahaha, I think my friend had like 3 fries. Also, this puppy is on happy hour special, so its delicious for not so expensive. Dish– Brisket sandwich GOBUYTHISNOW. Stop reading, and go buy this sandwich. This is the best sandwich I have ever had in my entire life. No joke, ENTIRE life. The brisket was perfectly flavored, and the balance of taste and texture was off the charts. I was stuffed to the gills(it was a big sandwich, and eating most of the cheese fries myself didn’t help), but I kept nomming because every last bite was full of flavor. 2) Drink They had some really fun and unique selections, especially their berry cider. I like seeing things that I don’t normally see at a bar, and this would be a great place to experiment. 3) Service Awesome. The server made great suggestions, and she balanced that perfect line of being helpful and present, but not there all the time and annoying. Our water was always filled, and we never wanted for beverages. I cannot wait to go back here; great food, great experience, great service, all within some very cute décor.

Damn fine breakfast, fun staff and great atmosphere. And PATIO. YESPATIO. And best of all, for those looking for an adult(but not ‘adult’) place to nurse that hangover and/or just sit and sip a bloody mary without feeling any tiny eyes spying on you, this is a 21 and over only joint. Hey, I have kids and there’s times I wish I could go there with her, but overall, something about this place feels even better knowing it’s a bunch of grown-ass adults eating HUGE plates of food(I did indeed get the chicken fried steak) and sipping a ‘hair of the dog’ drink most weekend mornings. I really like how laid back it is, I find the atmosphere to be slightly better than the food but the food itself was definitely no Denny’s type breakfast.

«Shrimp and Cheesy Grits,» out of this world amazing. «Bloody Mary,» has a strong kick and flavorful, best in Seattle. So, why did this #restaurant #frenchtoast failed? We all know the #French for their love of butter, but after being deepfried someone decided to out a scoop of butter on top. It was soaked in oil once you press on it. I think a tablespoon would not be to exaggerating for the amount of grease collected from 3-slices. Customer services definitely failed. I’ve been here for 45 min, even done eating, yet no one offer to refill my water, and I have to request for a set of silverware after the food was delievered. The staffs seem uncoordinated and lack of attention to details because there are a lot of warm bodies and conversation floating around. It may not be fair becuse I am here around 12:30PM and they maybe tired. I will come back and give them another chance and update my next review. The coffee is good. Honestly the best brunch I’ve had in Seattle… and it’s totally divey! Hudson is hidden down in the industrial district south of the stadiums. It’s mostly a bar vibe(21 over only) and I haven’t tried dinner(though now I want to!) The brunch was fabulous — great, hearty menu with amazing food(and my favorite hashbrowns in the city). Cocktail list is terrific — the grapefruit mimosa was perfect(and they have a manmosa with vodka too) It can get really crowded so head down early!

Second time I’ve been here and it was just as good as the first. First time I got the French Toast and absolutely loved it — so much that I randomly have cravings. I always told the wife about this place and finally was able to take her here. Can you guess what I got? Wait, did you say French Toast? You bet your ass I got the French Toast, and it was damn good. Overall this place is rather cozy and divey, which I like, but it’s not for everyone. It gets good good and packed on the weekends for brunch, so get here quick. Someone said before 11:30, which I think is fairly accurate. The only thing I don’t like is the lack of parking, but the food is well worth the wait. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again. Love me some Hudson and you should too!
