Idunn Salon and Spa

I found Erin on Facebook of all places. She was offering up a hair model opp to add a few quick SEAHAWKS color extensions. I jumped at the chance and she chose me to do so! It was the day of the home opener, so I was excited to say the least to get a pop of blue and green color to my everyday hair. My hair was super long, almost to my waist…(needed a trim) and ended up looking amazing! She has pics of it on her FB page. Super fun and lasted 3+ months! Sooo many compliments too! People loved them, but mostly so did I! I’d get them again in a heartbeat! When it was time to take them out I had Erin do it, so that it was done professionally. I didn’t want to rip any of my own hair out. They were simple to put in and simple to take out. Erin is truly an expert at this trade and I highly recommend her for this service! She has them in every color imaginable! After she took them out, I was also set for a LONG overdue haircut with Erin, as my hair was almost to my waist. Boy! After cutting 7 inches off and a fabulous laying job, I felt awesome and so fresh! She has this trick when cutting layers I’ve never seen, and let me tell you! It is gorgeous. I loved my haircut. A lot. I definitely recommend Erin and her talents to anyone! Check her out.

I had my hair colored by Erin and she did an amazing job. Since moving here I’ve had a hard time finding a hair stylist– but I’ll be going back to Erin!

I had a pedicure and loved the whole experience! It’s located in a great location. Lindsey and Andrew are clearly passionate about what they do.

What an amazing experience! I recently went to the spa and had a massage from Lindsey. She greeted me in the serene and relaxing spa area. I sat back in a cushy chair where I started my spa treatment with an herbal foot soak. I moved on to my 90 minute massage. Talk about magic fingers. I left feeling stress free and my body felt like jelly. Even the next day I didn’t have any pain as I’ve had from other spa massages. I will definitely go back.

Guess what? I just had the best haircut by The Pink Haired Lady aka Megan. She asked what I wanted, I couldn’t explain it just right, but she knew anyhow and it turns out, it’s just what I wanted. Megan is friendly, easy to talk with, takes appointments, and the best part… Doesn’t push overpriced products! Thank you Megan!

My hand arthritis had kept me from making myself too pretty and so I scheduled a blow out with Annie Firefly. She mostly left my hair down, but twisted it half up into two mini buns that were part victory roll, part devil’s horn, part just totally punk rock. She was just amazingly fun to be around — we were an immediate fit of hair-​histories. People stopped me the rest of the day to compliment me on my demonic do. This reasonably priced, creative salon has my vote.

Erin did hair extensions for me and they turned out beautiful and amazing! Very natural looking, I absolutely love them!

Great, natural looking lashes from Lindsey. She was so nice about me being just a touch late, and was so wonderful to talk to. I think she caught my lashes at a bad time though, because some of them fell out rather quickly but my eyelashes just happen to cycle in a strange and sudden way.

I had an appointment with Erin and she did a FANTASTIC job. She is so precise when it comes to cutting fine hair, she checks every strand to be certain it’s ALL even. Erin’s other AMAZING specialty is color/​highlights. She’s easy to talk to, pleasant and she’s an excellent hair stylist.
I’ve been going to Erin for a few months and I used to go to Ulta. Recently, I’ve been going to Idunn Salon and I LOVE the place. It’s inviting, homey and really comfortable and located in Queen Anne which is a very quaint town.
Can’t say enough great things about Erin and Idunn Salon. I’m looking forward to my next appointment.

AMAZING!!! Today I had the purifying facial with Lindsey and it was wonderful! It started with a relaxing foot soak with fruits, kelp and turmeric. Some of the things that made this a really stand-​out experience were that Lindsey makes her own masks that she uses. She uses seasonal, organic and local (when available) ingredients — it smelled so delicious! One of the 2 masks she used on me today was Starfruit, Papaya, Turmeric and Yogurt. She also takes the time to explain WHY this is the right one for you. I opted for the hand massage and for that she used another in-​salon made concoction (she called it Andrew’s blend). I know it had cocoa butter and vanilla in it, and again — it smelled so good! During the massage, she also used aromatherapy and pressure points — it was divine. I really can’t think of anything else I would’ve wanted done during our appointment.
Since I was going in for the facial, I also decided to have her wax my brows. They’ve been quite neglected lately and she gave me a great consultation and we came up with a «brow-​plan»! She was exacting and definitely had a plan that she explained to me as we went along.
All in all, this was a truly great experience that was as beneficial as it was pampering!

Erin has been doing my hair for quite a while. I used to see her at Radar Hair and Records, which unfortunately is closing down. Lucky for me, and for all of us, Erin has a new home at Idunn! Erin’s always done a marvelous job on my hair. I sometimes make decisions about what to do with my hair based on a wild impulse. More recently I’ve been keeping to long hair with some layers and side bangs and my natural color. What’s great about Erin is that I can give her a vague idea of what I want, she’ll ask a couple questions or make some suggestions, and I am always happy with the results! I don’t usually give her absolute directions because that’s not really my style. I can sometimes be indecisive and so I feel most comfortable asking her opinion and letting the master do her work. She’s just great at knowing what I mean when I give her an idea so I’ve never had any problems or concerns. She’s great at doing daring, bold cuts and colors but also great at doing more conservative cuts and colors. I know because I’ve had her do my hair all kinds of ways. Long, short, lots of bangs in front, bangs on the side, layers or no layers, no color to lots of color (ombré, red, and my favorite – a fuschia/​magenta in my bangs and ends!). This last look, a long, pink balayage look, was one of my favorites from her. I got so many compliments – even from strangers! It made me feel beautiful, fierce, and confident. Not only is she a killer hair stylist & colorist, she is also the most genuinely sweet person! I always feel comfortable talking to her and having a laugh with her, though if you’re not the talking type, you won’t feel pressured to talk – just sit back and enjoy the comforting, relaxing feeling of someone working on your hair and knowing you’re in good hands. I had the great good fortune of working with Val when I first emerged from Cosmetology school. She is very passionate about hair, and she was genuinely excited to show me different ways of cutting, innovative styling, and new coloring techniques. I say ‘great good fortune’ also because she did fabulous things to my hair– and that is no mean feat! I have fine, thin, difficult-​to-​manage hair, and I loved the way that she cut and styled it for me– AND showed me how she did it, so I could replicate the style at home. I’m back on the east coast now, and I wish I could fly out to Seattle for my haircuts… if you want quality hair services done by a true professional with a kind, down-​to-​earth attitude, look no further than Val!

Val is the only person that I have ever trusted to do my hair! She is always up to date on the latest products and it is obvious that she cares about her client. She is always taking a class on this or that… anyone who chooses Val to do their hair will be happy that they did. I cannot say enough about how wonderful she is.

We used to go to Erin at Radar Hair and Records, which is amazing!, but now we followed her to idunn! What an amazing salon! Erin, of course, did an amazing job as usual with our haircuts! She is THE haircut Queen, and by far gives the absolute best haircuts and colors. I had my hair colored only once, but what she did was incredible! I got so many compliments and it was so unique and fun!
The atmosphere is very clean, simple and fun. It’s located in a cute little part of Queen Anne. We found plenty of parking just one street over.
My mom and I talked to Lindsey and Andrew for a little bit, and they were the kindest people! I would support them any day of the week! We will for sure be returning customers, and I cannot recommend this salon more! You must go and get amazing services done by all of these awesome people! Spread the word and come here!

Lindsey gives the best facials ever! I followed her from her previous spa because it can be challenging to find someone you click with who gives excellent service EVERY time without fail.
As an added bonus the spa uses as many natural products as they can without sacrificing quality. Homemade yogurt was one ingredient in my face mask!
I also had an eyelash tint which looks lovely and have had my brows waxed and shaped by her too. Love her!

Idunn Salon and Spa is a gem. It is easy to get to from almost anywhere in the city and there is always free parking close by.
I love getting facials from Lindsey. She takes her time and is extremely thorough. Her voice is always so calm and I love that she explains what she is doing. She is very knowledgeable and I always leave there feeing like I know my skin better. I also just got eyelash extensions from her. They have lasted for about three weeks now and I love that I have the option of getting them filled every 1 – 3 weeks for a very reasonable price.
Andrew has cut and colored my hair for about six years now. Sometimes I know exactly what I want and Andrew is really good at listening and has always been able to create exactly what I had in mind. I have also gone in craving a change and I have trusted Andrew to use his skills to give me a new look (and I have never been disappointed).
The space is also very relaxing and clean. I can’t wait until my next appointment.

Thank Goodness Andrew and Lyndsey have found a new home in Queen Anne! Andrew and I have a history, but in this new location, I’m in love with the new product lines and quiet and cozy atmosphere. I had a color and a cut, which both turned out lovely. Andrew works wonders with my fine, short, annoying hair. The atmosphere of this salon is cozy and warm, and the pampering I received did not break the budget. Give this wonderful salon a try.

Lindsey gave me gorgeous lash extensions that are still going strong after weeks of heavy wear — I’m no delicate face washer.
And who knew this treatment could be a meditative experience: sinking back onto that table piled high with soft, cozy blankets, Southern California punk rock playing in the background… I was both refreshed AND lovely-​lashed afterwards.

I’ve been to Idunn twice now to see Lindsey for a brow wax, lash extensions, and a facial. I couldn’t be more thrilled with my services. The Salon looks great and parking is a breeze. My first visit was for lash extensions and they looked great –upon completion she suggested a brow wax which was a great idea, don’t want to show people you’re beautiful lashes if your brows are a mess.
My second visit was today for a facial. She makes a weekly mask in house, this week’s was a pear and thistle, it felt and smelled amazing. Ready to start the school year looking great thanks to Lindsey!

I came to Idunn salon To see Lindsey for eyelash extensions. The salon/​spa Had a great atmosphere and was very comfortable. Lindsey greeted me with a smile and we went to a separate room that was comfy and clean!!! My lashes look great and I’ve gotten many compliments! After two weeks my eyelashes are still completely in tact and I fall more in love with them everyday! I will def go back to see Lindsey. I look forward to many more great experiences at this day spa.
