Under new management apparently and soon to be Plaza Garibaldi, according to the signs on the building.

I ordered take out from here last night. The staff was very friendly which I always appreciate and I didn’t have to wait long for my food. My only complaint was that my chicken flautas were a little bland; I would order something different next time.

Understaffed Terrible bartender(older looking hipster dude with glasses) He didn’t even look in our direction for 20 minutes. We had to flag down a server/busser to grab us beers. Don’t come here if anything is going on at Key Arena. You won’t get good service or food. Just a disaster.

It’s a basic, appeal-to-gringo Mexican restaurant. You know the type.

Ok, so if there’s something going on at the Key Arena you probably want to schedule more people to work that night, right? Apparently the people running Jalisco didn’t think about that the other night. We sat in the bar(long wait for a table) and we got looked at by the 1 bartender but nobody ever came over to us. We were one table away from the bartender so we finally got up and just stood at the bar, thinking they would see us quicker and get us a freaking beer already. It took another 5 minutes of standing right at the bar but eventually we got some beers for the table. They brought us over chips and salsa too which was a plus. We wanted to order some food… until the bartender told us it would be over an hour to get to us, no thanks! When we went to leave, no bartender in sight(not surprised) so we just threw some money on the table hoping it would cover our beers. We could have easily dined and dashed but we’ve all previously worked in the industry and thought that would be a real jerk move. Note to self — don’t come here unless nothing is going on at the Key or Seattle Center. Get a clue Jalisco, you could be raking it in if you planned ahead!

I first stumbled upon this location for a late night drink. One drink became thee and before you knew it I was belting my heart out to Merle Haggard on their Karaōke system! It was late and the place was pretty empty. The bartender(I believe him to be the owner), gave me and a group of my friends chips and salsa as we drank. The chips were warm and the salsa delicious! I have lived in the Mission District of San Francisco for the past 10 years and am a bit of a snob when it comes to Mexican food(hands down my favorite comfort food). I have been in dire straits since moving to Seattle as far as finding decent Mexican food. Tried Mama’s and it made Taco Bell seem gourmet, tried numerous taquerias, taco trucks the works! After tasting the warm chips at Jalisco’s I was hell bent on coming back to try their food. While the service was mediocre at best this is still the best Mexican Food I have found in Seattle. Its still not the Mission, but I have found my weekly, «bust out the stretchy pants,» Mexican Food. YUM!!!

We’ve eaten in this Jalisco’s many times over many years. It is time for a revamping. The walls are full of chips and nicks. The booths need recovering. The window ledges are filthy. It is tired and worn out. This week the booth bench behind us collapsed as one woman sat down. Other than the prices continually increasing over the years, there has been no attempt to freshen or modernize the menu. Tacos, enchiladas, burritos served with rice and beans. Nothing wrong with that as there are times that is what we crave. Their salsa remains fresh and tasty. The cabbage salsa is tasty, too. Service is spotty. Sometimes, careful and attentive. This week, we felt the server never stopped long enough at our table for us to complete any thought. All his service to us was as he walked by. Much as an after thought. If you don’t care whether or not you get good service, or that your butt sticks to the booth seat as you try to slide across it(or, maybe it collapses under you) and you are hankering for a good enchilada or tostada this is the place for you.

I was in a group of about 10 people that came here for dinner. After seeing all of the 4-star reviews, I’m starting to wonder if we came on an off night… Regardless, the overall experience was just meh. Our server hovered around our table as we were deciding what to order, regularly asking if we were ready to order. I’m glad he was there to serve us, but it was just a little overbearing. Once we ordered, though, he disappeared, reappearing only to drop off our food and then the check. It was the exact opposite of the are-you-ready-to-order-yet service at the beginning of our meal. The food was okay. There was nothing wrong with it, but it also wasn’t anything to write home about. A friend and I each got the #2 combo: 1 taco, 1 enchilada, 1 tamale. We both agreed that the corn part of the tamale was far too thick and really made it unappealing. The hard taco was standard, and the enchilada(chicken) was decent. The prices were a little steeper than I’m used to from a Mexican restaurant — you’re not going to get a dish for less than $ 10. $ 10 isn’t a lot for a meal in Seattle, but for a no-frills Mexican restaurant, I expect a slightly better price. Maye that’s my problem. At the end of the day, Jalisco was run of the mill. Nothing egregiously wrong, but nothing especially good. I might give it another shot because so many other people seem to think well of it, but I won’t go out of my way.

This is the Mexi place we always go to when we want to stay on Queen Anne. 2 kinds of fresh made salsa, nice diversity(pozole!, machaca!) reasonable prices good drinks. Hey, I want to go there now that I’ve typed this. Fast service, and good for families with kids, I only wish the parking was better. The lot can fill up in back.

Pretty good spot for workday lunches with coworkers. It’s within walking distance. The portion size of lunch specials are just right for a satisfying lunch that doesn’t weight you down for the entire afternoon. I like the choices of enchilada sauces. The chips and salsa are good. Prices are very fair. Service is prompt(at least at lunch time).

I am always on the hunt for a good Mexican joint. I took a visit to this restaurant yesterday for Cinco De Mayo with few coworkers. It was around 12:15 and we get there and the place has no Air Conditioning and it was very hot in the restaurant. The wait time was approx 10 minutes for a table for 5. The service in this restaurant was absolutely horrid. We sat down and had our menu’s approx 5 minutes after the fact. The chips were delivered right up front. So we were sitting around eating chips before we got menu’s. After the Menu’s were dropped off we had to wait longer for a waitress to come take our order for drinks. We were not asked if we were ready to order food at this point. So we had to sit around and wait further. Our drinks were delivered in a delayed fashion and still our order for food had not been taken. Finally we get to order our food. Then 5 minutes later some other waitress comes up with food asking if it is our food. She moves to three different tables before she finds the one with the order. This did not restore any confidence that I could have possibly had for this restaurant. Time passes and passes and we finally get our food. Which seemed small but decent. We eat our food and when we finish eating we don’t see anyone. We had to flag down someone to take our plates and get the check. That seemed to take even longer. We split up the bill at the table and she comes back to take the money and we sit around and wait even longer for her to process the credit cards and come back to the table. What we expected to be a quick lunch experience like many of the other dining places in the area turned out to be 90 minutes of annoyance. The food was OK for the price but nothing great. The service is below par. I can’t really recommend this restaurant after my experience.

Not really a fan. My husband really liked it but it just didn’t do it for me. The nachos were just blah and the cheese was never really melted. Maybe had I branched out a bit more I would have liked it. Good margaritas and quick take out though.

I’m pretty sure this address if for the smaller joint across the street from the one pictured with the red awning(the green awning is the right lcoation for this Unilocal), and so that shall be the Jalisco’s I Unilocal. Truth: I haven’t been here in a few years due to not working right behind it anymore. Fact: When I worked near this location, I’d have lunch here almost once a week. Their arroz con pollo was tasty, and delicious and lunchtime affordable. Throw in a couple(a few?) blackberry margaritas and of course the tab total goes up, but so does the«natural high» that one needs to work at a dysfunctional costume & party shop. Fiction: Managers can put away more booze then me and still be coherent.

Upon arrival, I attempted to slide into a booth. Unfortunately, the booths are made with a gap between them which is approximately the size of my ass. It was somewhat dark in the restaurant and I wasn’t paying close attention, so I sat on air and started to fall. I tried to grab on to the table to stop my fall but my palm was facing downward so instead I smashed my hand on the underside pretty hard. The person sitting across the way grimaced and said«I did that exact same thing.» My hand still hurts and it’s been a few days. This was not an auspicious beginning. Although the ingredients were fresh, I found my vegetarian burrito bland. It was ~$ 9… some of the other entrees were up to ~$ 15. The chips were pretty good, but it took ~10 minutes to get water. We never got napkins. I didn’t see anyone else with napkins either, so maybe they just don’t do napkins. The atmosphere was much like a bar… corona signs and lights all over the walls, drinks came in disposable plastic cups with straws, and a karaōke setup lurked in the corner. A TV screen showed video of DJ Tiesto, although the video didn’t seem to be in time with the loud, thumping dance music that played. It wasn’t really trance-y either, it was more like something C89.5 would play. Maybe I’d like this place better if I ate meat or if it was cheaper.

I just walk a few yards up the street and I’m standing in front of Jalisco. I know a few people who work there(I go there allot). Foods good too.
