Jim Braden Cement Contractor

Mr Braden no showed on the first quote appointment, but the next day he did come and gave us a quote for a cement job in a doorway. He seemed like a very nice man, and we were happy with the quote, so we decided to hire him. An appointment to have the work done was set up for a Saturday. We called him to confirm the appointment earlier in the week, and he said that he was going to a football game, so Saturday won’t work, and changed the date to Friday. The work involved a doorway, so in preparation for the job, before he arrived, we had to remove the door which also pulled out some of the existing cement. We did our part. Mr. Braden however, no showed the job. I called him, and he had obviously forgotten about it, he said he couldn’t do it today, and since this is now two strikes against him maybe I should find another contractor. I was stunned.
He is nice, but is very unprofessional, and completely unreliable. This not showing up just created a very serious situation for me that has cost me money to patch up the doorway until I can hire another contractor.
