Jorielle R Bautista, MD

I saw Dr. Bautista once, on the recommendation of a friend. She was fine — friendly, discussed an issue I brought up at some length, etc. It was a nice appointment.
Unfortunately, her office staff are not as nice. I called them back recently to get a referral for another issue, and was told that I didn’t have the correct diagnosis, so it would be a waste of time. I had received the diagnosis from a different doctor, and had shared that info with the clinic, so I don’t know why they weren’t aware. They were rude, and brushed off my concerns as nothing to worry about.
I left PolyClinic and went to Virginia Mason, and have been much happier with my care. I’m not going back.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen Dr. Bautista. I moved and am looking for a Dr. in the Ballard area again and came across her name here. I agree with other posters that she is very rushed. The last time I saw her she forgot to do my breast exam and for some reason didn’t encourage me to have mammograms at that time even though my mother had breast cancer. She also won’t consider writing a prescription for massage appointments. (For those of you who use your insurance for this, you know this is in no way a trip to the spa).

Dr. Bautista is an ok doctor. I’d feel ok getting a shot from her or an x-​ray. She answers questions with full focus though she doesn’t offer much in the way of alternative health (anything besides western medicine). She’s got a sense of humor. The front desk people are acceptable, though it seems they don’t like to help you with finding forms and such and it does feel like I’m interrupting them when I check in for an appointment. Her MA talks a mile a minute which kind of freaks me out but she’s nice. Maybe it’s just a nervous tick. I’ve decided to switch to Seattle Healing Arts Center because I want to be treated as a whole person. There isn’t one big thing that I dislike, it’s based on little things like Dr. Bautista’s apparent lack of interest in alternative medicine/​nutrition, they refuse to send me reminders for my check-​ups (even though I’ve asked them several times), the lack of enthusiasm from the front desk, her MA who talks too much too fast and repeats herself, and the incredibly long wait times for my check ups (my time is valuable too).

I’m in my 40s and have never had ‘A doctor’, I’ve always been lucky to be in good health, but decided that it was time to find someone I could connect with for the long term. It was beyond frustrating trying to find any real information about the doctors listed through my insurance, so I looked for one through Unilocal.I went to see Dr. Bautista based on the first two reviews listed here. I absolutely LOVED her, she was just wonderful. She is pleasant, thorough, knowledgeable, and really listened to me. I will definitely be back and look forward to having a long term patient-​doctor relationship with her.

Dr Bautista is an acceptable MD. I have seen several times and she is very comfortable to talk to. Unfortunately, she jumps to conclusions rather quickly; she’s just too quick with her prescription pad. I usually have a long wait before she comes in (though, this is typical of doctors’ offices) but a short time with her, never longer then 15 minutes. It feels very rushed and I don’t feel like we came up with a real plan. More like: «Try these pills, if they don’t work, come back…» This is my body and a real commodity to me; I want to be cautious and careful. It would be more assuring if we had more discussion of the problem and our options. However, Dr Bautista has treated some basic infections of mine effectively, so she can get the job done sometimes.
However, she has a wonderful MA in her staff — Mindy! She’s absolutely sweet and thoughtful and really, really earnest to help.

Everything that luvtotravel J. has said about Dr. Bautista falls precisely in line with my experience. Dr. J is the best doctor I’ve ever had.

Excellent Ballard Polyclinic Doctor. I recently switched to her and am kicking myself for not switching sooner. Jorielle is very responsive to your needs, she listens which is such a rarity now a days. She is a family practice, gynocologist, women’s health specialists and I guess she supposedly delivers babies.
I was going to a terrible doctor who brushed off my concerns and spent like oh 10 minutes max with me. Jorielle was with me for like 30 MINUTES if not more but I ran out of things to say/​ask. I received more important information about health from her than anyone I have EVER seen. She is top– notch and I highly reccomend her!
