K and J Studios

We had John and Kim do our wedding this past weekend and they were awesome. Haven’t seen the pictures yet but they were so easy to work with. My goal was to get everything done photo-​wise before the ceremony. He would have made it happen if not for my parents being late. But we were able to bang out the family photos quickly so we didn’t miss much of the party. It was wonderful. They had so many good ideas too! Can’t wait to see the photos when they are done!

We’re so glad we picked K and J studios for our wedding photography! John and Keoni were our photographers. They’re professional, creative, fun to work with, and their self-​service photo booth was a huge hit at our wedding reception!
We started our big day with pre-​wedding photo shoot. I think both of us were a bit nervous at first, but John and Keoni were able to make us feel at ease and they took some very creative and sweet photos of us.
They were also good at capturing precious moments and action shots. The photos of our ceremony and reception are so vibrant and natural, going through them feels like reliving the day again.
We also must mention how we received our final photos. They arrived within 6 weeks after our wedding, and came in a custom wood USB, in a custom wood box, and a view-​master that had a reel with some of our pictures on it! The quality and the thoughtfulness were simply impressive.
Last but not least, we love their photo booth. It comes with a custom backdrop, props, and is entirely self-​service. It prints two photo strips — one for the guests and one for the couple to keep. You can even get digital copies of the photos afterwards. We all had so much fun with it!
We’d definitely recommend K and J studios to anyone looking for wedding or event photography. Huge thanks to John and Keoni for making our wedding extra special, and for preserving it so beautifully for years to come!

Simply stated, these guys are awesome.
Their price is what originally attracted us. We planned our wedding in Seattle from across the country and were skeptical about hiring without meeting in person. John and Keoni were fast with information, set up an initial Skype meet and greet (very personable) to learn more about what we wanted, asked us the right questions, and left us feeling confident in our decision.
Fast forward to the event– these guys showed up, rolled with the flow, blended in, accommodated every photo request, and make a great impression with our guests. The photos they took perfectly captured the atmosphere and energy that we hoped our wedding would have. They took us around the neighborhood before and after the ceremony looking for photo ops and came up with some fantastic original ideas that turned beautifully. Our photos showed up a few weeks later in slick packaging on a custom photo-​printed flash drive with extra fold-​up photo panels for family.
John also helped me out while I was in town with a professional head shot that I’m very happy with.

My photographer was John, and he was very personable. Was very flexible with where to do the photo shoots and open to new ideas. He had lots of experience and saw amazing backdrops that I would have never thought existed. He was also extremely experienced with the area which allowed us to take multiple pictures that were both unique and innovative. We took pictures at Alki beach and Pioneer Square. We went a little bit over an hour and he only charged us for an hour. I highly recommend him.

John and Keoni were great to work with. They made our experience really fun, but were very professional as well.
They were so accommodating in helping us get the best day possible for our pictures (Seattle weather…)! And they even took the time and effort to include our pup in some of the pictures, which meant a lot to us.

Keoni did amazing work with our wedding photos! Two years later we are still looking back on them and loving how vibrantly and artfully he captured the memories. We could not be happier with the result; the photos really shared the story of the event and all the emotions. We felt like many of the photos were magazine quality. He was great at capturing candid moments, quirky/​fun poses, and details. During the event he was very easy to work with — he worked efficiently and was self sufficient. We didn’t even know he was there most of the time!
In addition, Keoni was very prompt with getting our photos back to us. We have hundreds of great photos, and the editing on the photos was superb as well. We liked the various filters he chose. Our biggest problem is choosing which photos are the best, because there are so many great ones. I can’t recommend him enough!

Had the pleasure of working with John Nakatsu for a pregnancy shoot with my girlfriend. We weren’t sure if we wanted to take pictures in the first place so waited two weeks before our due date. He was more than accommodating and was able to squeeze us in! We couldn’t have been happier with our decision and even more so with the results we got. Absolutely recommend him for his work and will definitely be going back for other sessions.

I highly recommend K and J studios. Their photography style is very creative and natural. Keoni and John are very professional, yet have a great sense of humor and are really fun to work with. Not only do they do weddings, but they are both amazing at fashion shots and family portraits as well. You won’t be disappointed. :)

My husband and I we’re fortunate enough to have Keoni shoot our Oahu wedding in September. We have gotten a lot of compliments on on our photos, I’d like to think they’re just a bit jealous because we had a kickass photographer with a great eye. Keoni is super accommodating, very laid back and easy to work with. He will bring that aloha spirit to every event he shoots. Mahalo Keoni for your beautiful work, Seattle is lucky to have you!

We’re so lucky that we were able to have Keoni do our engagement photos on a last minutes notice. I think he was able to show our unique personalities perfectly and we’ve had many friends say things like «thats so you» about my wife and I after seeing those photos. We’ve recommended Keoni to our friends, and they’ve all had great experiences and beautiful pictures as a result.
On a recent trip to Seattle, my wife and I were able to meet up with Keoni again and had him show us the best parts of the city. So cool that he was there to capture those places and eventful moments for us on camera. Wouldn’t it be awesome to always travel with your own personal photographer!
While in Seattle we were introduced to John at happy hour, great personality and I would imagine easy to work with as well. I wouldn’t hesitate to have these guys shoot our next big event.
