This is a 24 hour FAA Towered Airport on 594 acres at 21 feet MSL, with two runways, one 10,000′ x 200′ and one 3,710′ x 100′. * It is an International Airport of Entry for the U.S. with U.S. Customs, Immigration, Public Health and Agriculture Inspection Facilities. 100 LL, and Jet A fuel are available for aircraft. The Airport features General Aviation services, Air Cargo, Aircraft fuel sales, Aircraft manufacturing and testing, Aviation services and repair, Avioncs, Charter, Airlines Services, Corporate Aircraft, Emergency Medical flights, The Museum of Flight, Fixed Base Operators, Flight Schools, Passenger Airlines, and Retail Stores. King County International Airport is self-supporting and receives no county general tax revenues. KBFI generates $ 3.2 billion in sales for King County businesses, supporting more than 12,000 jobs and creating $ 804 million in labor income.

History
Established in 1928.
Historic highlights
1928 The airport’s official dedication was attended by 50,000 people. William E. Boeing was honored.
1939 The airport went on a 24-hour schedule.
1941 A new runway opened: 5,825 feet long, and paved.
1944 Construction authorized by the War Department extended the paved runway to 7,526 feet.
1948 A new 1,800 foot runway for light planes opened.
1951 The main runway was extended to 10,000 feet
1954 Commercial aviation history was made as the Boeing Company’s 707 «Dash 80» prototype made its maiden flight to King County International Airport.
1962 A new control tower opened for use
1969 The small plane runway was extended to its present length of 3,710 feet.
1978 The airport celebrated its 50th anniversary with a plaque presented by the community
1987 The Museum of Flight was dedicated.
2001 King County International Airport was selected by the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) as one of the «100 Most Needed Airports» in the U. S.
