Great covered area for the rainy days. Extra wide sidewalk, lots of space for bus riders and tourists walking up and down. Not many homeless people, nor crack heads here. Rarely smells like piss or weed. There are benches available for sitting. Overall, it’s above average.

Not quite as bad as the bus stop in front of the Crackgreens on 3rd and Pike. I dont like that you can have a seat OR take shelter from the weather, but not both. But. There aren’t too many crazies, at least.

King County Metro gets you from Point A to Point B. Cant beat that. But their bus stops are a bit dirty and dingy. Doesnt matter which one you’re at. Although, I have seen the new Metro buses around and rode in one which was pretty nice. The bus driver doesnt have to announce the stops anymore as it’s automated.

Why I rated this 4 stars: I have been to this bus shop numerous times. If you’ve been here, you know there are homeless people and other craziness in the tunnels. The customer service reps deal with all sorts of bullshit and at the end of the day can still be super nice and helpful. They always work with you to determine if getting a Puget Pass or E-​Purse is the most efficient option for you.

Why do I have to choose between sitting down OR taking shelter? Bus shelters have successfully incorporated both of those elements into one neat and functional unit for thousands of years. This is the «new and improved» bus stop? FAIL. One extra Star cause it’s easy to get a bus to the Hill from 4th & Pike.
